00:30French budget-cut strikes turned violent in Paris on Thursday afternoon with hundreds of thousands of people joining strikes and demonstrations.
00:40Protesters join trade unions holding a day of strike action to pressure the country's new prime minister, Sébastien Lacornu, to rethink a package of budget cuts and take action on wages, pension and public services.
00:53And they try to get out of it. And at the moment we have a government who doesn't listen to us and who does the opposite of what the population needs.
01:00A government who attacks its citizens, a government who greatly reprime its population.
01:08And it's important that everyone can mobilize, whether it is for the French population who wants to be dignified and who also wants to bring their dignity to others.
01:15Le Corneau quickly walked back an unpopular proposal to scrap two public holidays.
01:24However, trade unions have raised concern that other elements of the plan, including a welfare spending freeze, would be maintained.
01:31France is witnessing one of its largest protest movements in years as hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets of the country against the government's announced austerity measures.
01:47Across the country, strikes and protests disrupted transport schools and even hospitals.
01:54By the end of the day, the mood had shifted here in Paris.
01:58What began as a largely peaceful protest ended with quite a few intense clashes.
02:05A few dozen individuals dressed in black hurled projectiles at police, some of them even striking other demonstrators and journalists.
02:16Police responded with several charges and heavy use of tear gas and stun grenades to try to disperse the crowd.
02:25The Interior Ministry said that about half a million people demonstrated nationwide, a figure far lower than the more than one million protesters announced by France's trade unions.
02:43U.S. President Donald Trump said his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin, let him down as he spoke in a joint press conference with British leader Keir Starmer.
02:52Trump was in the UK for an unprecedented second state visit where he was hosted by the British royal family before meeting Starmer for political talks.
03:02The U.S. leader has been brokering efforts to lead a ceasefire in Ukraine for several months, with Moscow evading committing to peace.
03:11Starmer urged Trump to increase pressure on Putin over Ukraine, which Trump agreed to should Europeans stop purchasing oil from Moscow.
03:21Alongside criticizing Putin, Trump suggested the UK should consider using military force to stop illegal migration.
03:30He also said he disagreed with the British leader over his decision to recognize the Palestinian state.
03:37The pair signed the so-called tech prosperity deal during the visit, which sees firms such as Microsoft and Google pledging to spend billions in the UK.
03:47Starmer's government said it secured billions worth of investment from the U.S. in the hope of creating thousands of jobs.
03:55Starmer has sought to strengthen ties with Trump as his America first policies have caused trade and security uncertainty.
04:08Given this guy a little punk and he deserves it.
04:13U.S. broadcaster ABC indefinitely suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday after the host made controversial comments about the assassination of MAGA activist Charlie Kirk.
04:24The move came after a major group of affiliated stations refused to air the show, calling Kimmel's remarks offensive and insensitive.
04:33The MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize...
04:36On Monday and Tuesday, Kimmel accused what he called MAGAland of capitalizing on the murder and suggested the alleged killer was one of them.
04:45President Donald Trump celebrated the suspension while the head of the U.S. regulator, the FCC, called the comments truly sick
04:53and threatened action against Disney.
04:57Kirk's killing on September 10th caused further divisions in the country, which already experiences a deeply polarized climate.
05:05The Trump administration has been cracking down on critical speech about the death of its prominent ally.
05:11The Trump administration has been

09:59for the boat company who built the boats and it was obviously a big responsibility for the city and for the citizens to say that yes we will make a boat in 6-7 months
10:17if you live in the center in this area and you work here i guess yes especially maybe a woman would like it like a romantic way to go to work or to clear your mind after work i think it will be very cool
10:43if we're saying that it's a public transportation but it's a public transportation but it's slower than walking so we're not being honest and if we're not being honest about every single part of this green transformation then people will be confused and in the end they will be
