00:11A viral AI photo editing feature powered by Google's Gemini Nano model lets users
00:17transform their pictures into elegant saree portraits with vintage backdrops.
00:22Instagram user Jhalak Bhavanani, after trying the trend, alleged that Gemini AI
00:26generated an image showing a mole on her left arm. She said that she has a mole on her right arm but
00:32claimed it wasn't visible in the photo she uploaded as she was wearing full sleeves.
00:36This is very scary.
00:37As the video went viral, viewers questioned whether Gemini had somehow tapped into personal photos
00:42from Gmail, Google Drive or social media. Others suggested the result could be linked to an earlier
00:48image she uploaded where the mole was visible. Bhavanani later uploaded another video addressing
00:52the speculation. We reached out to Google about the claims. A spokesperson clarified the Nano
01:06Banana image model was not trained with user data from Google Photos, Google Workspace or Google Cloud
01:12services. Any non-visible attribute that appears in a generated image that wasn't visible in the
01:18original input is purely a coincidence.
