00:00Did you know that Singapore's government provides support for women's health needs?
00:05If you want to stay on top of your health, then you should take advantage of all the
00:09subsidized health care services you're eligible for. So in this video, let's have a look into
00:15the various schemes that you can apply to. Prevention is always better and cheaper than
00:21a cure, which is why Healthier SG helps cover for screenings in regular GP clinics.
00:27For instance, women ages 50 and older can have subsidized or free mammograms every two years
00:34and colorectal screenings annually. Women 25 years and older can have their pap smears
00:40covered every three years. And once you're 30 years old, you can qualify for HPV tests every
00:46five years. It only costs $5 per test, but if you enroll in Healthier SG, it becomes completely free.
00:54HPV vaccines are also quite accessible to younger women. Girls in secondary 1 and 2 can receive it
01:01for free at school. Meanwhile, women can get subsidized vaccinations at polyclinics and GP
01:08clinics if they're 26 years or younger. Normally, an HPV vaccine would cost you around $400 to $500.
01:16But if you qualify for the subsidy, you'd only have to pay $150 or lower.
01:20You can even use your Medisave to cover the remaining cost. And if you're between 18 to 26 years old with
01:28a blue or orange CHAZ card, the Singapore Cancer Society will cover everything for you.
01:33Speaking of CHAZ or Community Health Assist Scheme cards, it would be a good idea for you to sign up
01:40for one if your household income makes you eligible. It acts as a discount card for various health care
01:46services. You can also get financial help if you struggle with starting a family. For example,
01:52the RTHIUI co-funding scheme can cover up to 75% of the cost of IVF treatments and intrauterine
02:01inseminations. Again, you can have Medisave handle the rest of your expenses. And remember,
02:08your Medisave can also help with various maternity expenses. These include delivery costs,
02:13prenatal, and postnatal care. If you need mental health support, KHS and welfare organizations can
02:21subsidize consultations and therapy sessions. Of course, Medisave isn't the only service you can
02:27use to cover the cost that the subsidies can't. You have Medisheild Life and ComCare too.
02:33Accessing these schemes is a straightforward process. Simply choose your screening location,
02:39book an appointment, and prepare documents like your RIC, EHAS, and medical records. You can apply
02:47for financial help online or in person. To maximize your benefits, check what subsidies you can combine
02:53and plan your calendar so you can avail many services in fewer visits. Health care shouldn't
03:00be a burden on your finances. With these schemes, quality care can be accessible to women throughout
03:06Singapore. Go ahead and contact your women's clinic and see how you can get subsidized today.
