00:00Well a very good evening ladies and gentlemen here we go again as we kick-start the build-up
00:21to what promises to be another truly epic night here at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just like
00:27their fathers did all those years ago on November 15th live on DAZN Chris Eubank Jr and Connor Benn
00:34relight the family feud once more for the fourth time in the history books and of course the second
00:40time between themselves when they rematch once more here in front of 70,000 fans and as you can
00:47see on the stage here this evening many familiar faces and we start now with the formal introductions
00:54firstly reigniting their own feud once again here on the top table promoters Ben Shalom of Boxer and
01:02Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing we have the respective training teams as well which has taken everyone a
01:09little bit by surprise here this evening firstly of course Tony Sims head trainer of Connor Benn and
01:15Bo Mack is in the house here this evening as well and Bo Mack we congratulate you on an incredible
01:20victory this past weekend as well and now of course this man needs no introduction two-weight world
01:29champion the great Nigel Benn also with us here this evening and we welcome now to the stage the two
01:37most important faces and fighters firstly to my left the man chasing revenge the man chasing redemption Connor
01:49Benn and we also welcome to the stage at this time the victor from the epic
02:07collision here in April looking to further cement Eubank supremacy and rubber stamp his own
02:14rivalry against Connor Benn with a second victory on November 15th ladies and gentlemen Chris Eubank
02:20and at this time we do want to give special thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the custodian of the
02:41two holy mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud his royal highness the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman and chairman of the
02:50general entertainment authority and Saudi boxing federation his excellency Turkey al
02:56al-sheikh
02:57and this is it unfinished business presented by Riyadh season seller ring magazine Eddie Hearn for
03:10matron boxing and Ben Shalom for boxer and it's all live worldwide exclusively on the zone
03:17and just before we do begin this evening's press conference we pause at this moment for a period of reflection
03:27the sporting world was rocked to its very foundations this past weekend when we heard the tragic news that the great Ricky Hatton had so sadly
03:40passed away at the age of 46 Ricky was loved for so many reasons of course as a fighter and what he
03:50did in his incredible career as a professional boxer inspired so many to chase and achieve their dreams and put on the boxing
03:58gloves paved the way for those following him in his beloved city of Manchester and look at what he did achieve as a fighter became world champion took his army of
04:08supporters and fans and friends in their tens and thousands across the pond to take on and challenge the world's very best in Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fought at the home of his beloved Manchester City but other than that Richard to his family Ricky Rick to the rest of us was a truly unique and special character
04:38race of the six years with the relationship with his family and his role in his history with the great man we have survived.
04:44the boys. Ricky had an infectious smile, a truly incredible sense of humour, a wonderful
04:52laugh and a heart as big as this room here today. And at this moment in time, we want
05:00to show you a tribute to the great man, Ricky, the hit man, Hatton.
05:06I'm not going to say that I'm the greatest British world champion that we've ever had.
05:10Well, there's never ever been a world champion from Great Britain that has had a fan base
05:15like Ricky Hatton.
05:19He's a lot, lot slimmer than that. Let's fucking have him.
05:25His fan base was unbelievable.
05:31Everyone knows he's a great person.
05:37Ricky Hatton is big for the first time in his career.
05:40What a fluke, that one.
05:50People will make their own minds look, you know, how good a fighter they are, they think
05:54I was. You know, I would, maybe, in a sentence, the world champion that we want to run.
06:00Certainly a wonderful tribute to a wonderful fighter and a wonderful man in Ricky Hatton,
06:10and as the famous chant used to be sang, there's only one Ricky Hatton, and indeed there only
06:17ever will be one Ricky Hatton. Rest in peace, Ricky. It goes without saying the thoughts of
06:24everyone here, with all your family, your friends, many of whom are in this room this evening, and all who share this sadness with us.
06:43But we are here, of course, this evening to talk about a truly epic rematch taking place November 15th, once again here at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium live on DAZN.
06:55I mean, cast your eyes and your mind back to April, a night which had just about everything and surpassed even the wildest of our expectations.
07:07We remember the theatre when Chris Eubanks Sr. arrived at the stadium alongside his son, Chris Eubanks Jr., as Connor and his father Nigel watched on from backstage.
07:19We remember the cinema of what the atmosphere was like in this stadium. The ring walks, shoulder to shoulder alongside their fathers to their fathers' songs.
07:29Simply the best and dangerous. And, of course, all of that culminated in one of the best fights we have seen on British shores for many, many years.
07:40And I have no doubts, really, that the only two fighters for UK Fight of the Year 2025 who can dare to rip the trophy from Chris Eubanks Jr. and Connor Benn in April are Chris Eubanks Jr. and Connor Benn in November.
07:56So, let's get straight to it then. The press conferences have always been fun. So, let's hear from the fighters. Firstly, a quick word from Chris Eubanks Jr.
08:05Chris, when you think back to April...
08:08I'd like you to address Connor first. I think I'm just interested to hear what he's got to say.
08:13Okay, as you wish. Firstly to you, Connor Benn. Connor, when you think about what happened in April, you always said it was the early runs that got you out of bed
08:24because you feared losing in this game. How has the reality been for you and what have you perhaps learned about yourself since April?
08:33Yeah, listen, I mean, it's always hard processing a loss. Nobody prepares to lose. You know, as fighters, we want to do our best. But ultimately, we want to get a victory at all costs.
08:42You know, it's taught me a lot. It's taught me a lot about myself. I want to go back to the drawing board and work and learn, gain experience. And experience was gained. So, no doubt. November 15th, you get a better version.
08:53Chris, has your opinion on Connor Benn changed since the first fight as a person, as a fighter? Do you respect him more than you did then?
09:05Chris, what a crazy, crazy world we live in today. For my entire life as a professional fighter, I have been the villain and the bad guy. 14 years and 38 fights of people loving to hate me.
09:29But I don't want to get ahead of myself. But from what I'm seeing online nowadays and the interactions I'm having with, you know, people all over the world and the streets, I don't know if I'm that guy anymore.
09:48It's not just boxing fans that are approaching me now. It's little girls, elderly folk, housewives, people that really have nothing to do with boxing.
10:04And they are all, you know, they're all greeting me and they're all wishing me the best of luck. It's humbling.
10:12The funny thing is, if you speak to this side of the table, Eddie Hearn will tell you as he told the world after the fight that Connor Benn is in fact the people's champ.
10:26I mean, wow. That is, that's incredible. Connor Benn, you did it, huh kid? The people's champ.
10:36You know, one thing I know for sure is that, you know, Connor Benn, he put on a great fight. He went out there and he did what I did not expect him to do.
10:55But, you know, I'm gonna tell you right here and now, you ain't no champ. And you most definitely ain't no people's champ, so get that out of your head.
11:07You keep letting Eddie Hearn blow smoke up your ass and you're gonna end up being even more of an embarrassment than he is.
11:14These men are not men of the people. They are pretending. They're pretending to be the good guys. Wolves in sheep's clothing, if you will.
11:26They will do anything they can. They will screw over anybody they can. They will cut any corners. They will break any rules they can to try and get ahead.
11:38Ruthless. Immoral. And without restraint. These men are. They did everything they could to try and destroy me in this last fight.
11:53Contract breaches, fines, rehydration clauses, sabotage weigh-in, biased commentary and refereeing.
12:08Oh, my God. The list goes on. It's endless. Even on fight night, they blocked my team from coming to the stadium for 30 minutes.
12:18And then when I arrive, they have security walking in front of my car, trying to slow me down and stall me as much as possible to make me late.
12:30I've never heard so much waffle in all my life.
12:33It's okay. You're gonna hear a lot more.
12:34No, no, no. You're gonna hear a lot more.
12:37You know, it's incredible the levels that these guys will stoop to.
12:43I finally get into the stadium. I get into my changing room. I'm preparing.
12:49They're sending idiots to try and disrupt me in my changing room.
12:55We get through that. I go out there, outside these walls, and I win the fight.
13:03Now, after the fight, due to severe dehydration, I'm put in an ambulance and I have to go to hospital.
13:15I was actually so dehydrated that one of the toenails on my big toe fell off.
13:23It actually fell off. It's grown back about halfway now.
13:25But anyway, I'm in this ambulance.
13:29Jesus, not a toenail.
13:30I'm in the ambulance and...
13:33You still got it.
13:34These scumbags blocked that ambulance from leaving the stadium for 20 minutes.
13:41By the way, this is an intrigue. Go on, keep going, because this is all being noted.
13:4520 minutes.
13:46Absolute waffle.
13:4720 minutes.
13:48Waffle.
13:49Locked in.
13:50Waffle.
13:51I'm laying there in a gurney, oxygen mask on, and the car cannot move.
13:57They will not open the gates to let us leave.
14:00Sorry, who won't open the gates?
14:03Now, if this was a serious injury that I had sustained, that 20 minutes...
14:09Chris, I want to know who wouldn't open the gates. It's important.
14:12That 20 minutes...
14:13You can't answer that, can you?
14:14...could have been the difference between life and death.
14:17You talk shit.
14:18And while this was all happening, Conor Benn and Eddie Hearn are in here talking to the media,
14:24lying about how I had a broken jaw and that was the reason why I was going to hospital.
14:30Bullshit artists of the highest degree.
14:34Chris, can we get one thing clear?
14:36Yeah.
14:37Absolute highest.
14:38Can you just confirm that you are accusing us?
14:40Yes.
14:41I am accusing...
14:42Matrum?
14:43Yes.
14:44Okay.
14:45Say it.
14:46You guys blocked me from getting out.
14:47Say it.
14:48Say it.
14:49Matrum.
14:50Who else?
14:51Who else may it have been?
14:52Go on, say it.
14:53Say it.
14:54Why was I in an ambulance for 15 minutes?
14:55Say that Matrum stops you from going to the hospital.
14:57Why was I in...
14:58What?
14:59So you can try and sue me with your little lawyer?
15:00Not at all.
15:01Don't worry about that.
15:02I think you're talking about the wrong guy.
15:03You should be up here.
15:04Say it.
15:05These are the levels...
15:06You talk shit.
15:07These are the levels of...
15:08You know.
15:09We stopped you from...
15:10Generacy.
15:11Toenail was falling off.
15:12That these people would go through.
15:13Eddie, the last time you were up here, you were talking about how famous and popular
15:17you were.
15:18Even more famous than me.
15:19Remember that?
15:20That's impossible.
15:21You're the people's champ.
15:22What?
15:23You said it.
15:24You said you were even more famous than me.
15:25You're getting stopped by grannies and children.
15:26I am.
15:27Throwing themselves at you like you're the Pope.
15:28It's incredible.
15:29That's absolutely true.
15:30It's a toenail.
15:31I can't believe it.
15:32But that's interesting.
15:33The fact of the matter is...
15:34The fact of the matter is...
15:35You're telling us we stopped your ambulance from going to the hospital.
15:37You are a glorified desk jockey.
15:40Desk jockey?
15:41That's what you are.
15:42Okay.
15:43That's interesting.
15:44Living off of the back of hard working fighters.
15:47That's what you are.
15:48The fact that you can sit up here talking about how popular and famous you are.
15:52What I don't want to have is someone lying about what happened on the night to try and
15:57gain more popularity.
15:58It just shows you the level of ego and narcissism we're dealing with here.
16:01About all the bullshit you want to come out with.
16:02I don't need to make anything up.
16:03It's all documented.
16:04You're playing the victim.
16:05It's all documented.
16:06I'm not the victim.
16:07And we see through you.
16:08I won the fight.
16:09Well done.
16:10There's no victim here.
16:11I won the fight.
16:12Against all odds.
16:13Against everything that you guys tried to do.
16:15We'll see.
16:16We'll see.
16:17You tried to destroy me and you did not succeed.
16:19You're talking about we put things in place that you signed to do.
16:23100% you did.
16:24You signed.
16:25You tried and you failed.
16:27And you're going to fail again this time.
16:28We'll see.
16:29You guys are going to do all your little tricks and do all the things you can to try and get
16:32in my head.
16:33Put Daniels over here.
16:34And derail me.
16:35It's not going to work.
16:36We'll see.
16:37Okay.
16:38But you don't talk shit about things that you want to fantasize about.
16:40It's the truth.
16:41It's not.
16:42I know the truth is hard for you to hear.
16:43Listen.
16:44You've already accused us of stopping your ambulance from going to the hospital.
16:46That's fair enough.
16:47We'll see.
16:48That's what happened.
16:49We'll see.
16:50That's what happened.
16:51Okay.
16:52We will see my friend.
16:53Listen.
16:54You've never had a hard day's work in your life.
16:55All right.
16:56I don't know why you're talking to me.
16:57And you've only had one.
16:58And that was the last time.
16:59You think a hard day's work.
17:00Let me tell you.
17:01You're going to have a real hard night's work on November 15th.
17:02Is being in your multi-million pound estate writing up contracts to fleece fighters out
17:04of as much money as you can.
17:05We'll see Chris.
17:06That's what you think hard day's working.
17:07We will see.
17:08Going around on jets to different countries.
17:09You shall.
17:10We will see.
17:11Talking about how great other men are.
17:12You talk shit.
17:13We see through your games.
17:14You don't know about blood, sweat, and tears.
17:15You don't give a shit about anyone.
17:17You don't know about blood, sweat, and tears.
17:18You know about how to use people.
17:19All right.
17:20We'll see.
17:21That's the man you are.
17:22Okay.
17:23We'll see.
17:24We will see.
17:25We will.
17:26Connor, quick one to you.
17:27Has your opinion changed on Chris Uvank Jr.?
17:30I mean, I take my hat off to him, you know, because you need a dancing partner, and he
17:35was that for me.
17:36Did I underestimate him?
17:37I did.
17:38I genuinely thought I'd knock him out in three, four rounds on my heart.
17:41You know, that's genuinely...
17:43Chris, shut up, mate.
17:44Come on.
17:45That's what I genuinely believed.
17:47You know, so I underestimated him, but you know, he gave me one hell of a fight, and
17:52it was one hell of a fight.
17:54And, yeah, I'm excited for next time around, to be honest, mate.
17:58Well, let's hear from...
17:59You know, this was the first time in my life that I've ever seen a fighter lose, and then
18:06go on some type of victory tour.
18:09This guy.
18:10No, there was no victory tour.
18:11This guy was going to events.
18:12There was no victory tour.
18:13There was no victory tour.
18:14He was doing interviews.
18:15He was buying cars.
18:16Chris, no, that was your car that you gave me.
18:19That was the 500 grand for your unprofessionalism that gave me that car.
18:22Yeah, it was.
18:23You flew over to America.
18:24You're taking pictures of people.
18:25Oh, I'm just so...
18:26I'm so grateful for the love and the support the fans are showing me.
18:30I'm blessed.
18:31You're going on like you won.
18:32You do understand you lost, right?
18:34You want me to finish?
18:35You had all 10 toenails.
18:36You do understand you lost, right?
18:38I mean, the illusion of this guy.
18:41Listen, listen, Chris.
18:42The reality is, while you were sipping food for a straw, I was back in the gym after the
18:47fight, ready for September 20th.
18:49Why was you not ready?
18:50We was locked in September 20th.
18:52So if you want to talk about a little tour, I was training meanwhile.
18:55What were you doing?
18:57I was living life, my friend.
18:59I don't dance to the truth of any man.
19:00Exactly.
19:01So what you just said is stupid.
19:02I don't care that you were ready for September 20th.
19:03Listen, listen.
19:04I don't care.
19:05Ultimately, we fight on November 15th, mate.
19:06And, yeah.
19:08November 15th.
19:09It was supposed to be September 20th, but your unprofessionalism and your unprofessional
19:15team weren't ready.
19:16I'm ready.
19:17I don't need to fight you when you want to fight.
19:20I've lost.
19:21I don't need you.
19:22No, it's not when he wanted to fight.
19:23It's not when I wanted.
19:24It's when everybody wanted.
19:25When Terkala Sheik wanted.
19:27When the whole team had agreed and arranged for the fight to happen.
19:31You know what happens when you have an agreement?
19:33Do you know what happens?
19:34You know when you sign a contract?
19:35Do you know what that is?
19:36I didn't sign a contract to fight you on September 20th.
19:37Do you know what that is?
19:38Do you know what that is?
19:39I signed a rematch you.
19:40I didn't sign a contract.
19:41Do you know what that is?
19:42Do you know what an agreement is?
19:43The date is perfect.
19:44But do you know what an agreement is?
19:46Do you understand?
19:47No, I don't know what an agreement is.
19:48What is it?
19:49Well, you're an idiot.
19:50That's why.
19:51Yeah, all right, man.
19:52Okay, we'll certainly come back to Chris and Connor.
19:54Let's hear from the other faces here on the top table here, though, this evening.
19:58Firstly to you, Ben Shalom of Boxer.
20:01An epic night in April.
20:02A big win for your man, Chris Eubank Jr.
20:04How do you honestly believe November 15th will compare?
20:08Look, I want to thank Riyadh season and Salah and the ring for making this possible again.
20:13I think the first fight brought the popularity back to British boxing.
20:18It was the biggest night I've ever been involved in.
20:21It was a bigger fight after the fight, thanks to these two warriors.
20:25And it was a spectacle that demanded a rematch.
20:28It's phenomenal that we've managed to do it again in the same year.
20:33But this one will be even bigger.
20:34I think Chris Eubank Jr. and what happened and his story and the hurdles that he had to go through
20:40endeared himself to the British public like I've never seen before from a British fighter.
20:45And it really is the Chris Eubank Jr. show.
20:48I have to say I'm so happy to see Brian McIntyre here in all the fights that I've promoted with Chris.
20:55That rematch against Liam Smith was the most focused, was the most dedicated, was the best Chris Eubank Jr. I have seen.
21:02And I think Chris will be doing it in an even more emphatic fashion on November.
21:10Congratulations, Eubank.
21:11I mean, the performance Terence put on against Canelo the other day was exceptional.
21:16So congratulations to you and the Terence Crawford team.
21:19Everyone give it up.
21:23Thanks, man. I appreciate that.
21:25Promoter Eddie Hearn, let's see how you get on here this evening.
21:29Despite the setback for Conor Benn in April, what do you believe changed about the way he is seen within the boxing world?
21:37Well, just firstly, Jamie, obviously, just a couple of, you might just going to say 30 seconds about Ricky Hatton.
21:45No, no, no, there's no 30 seconds.
21:46Chris, Chris, one second.
21:47You know the drill, buddy.
21:48Chris, Chris.
21:49You know the drill.
21:50I'm not going to sit here and listen to anything you say.
21:52Okay.
21:53I'm an asshole.
21:54I'm a bad guy.
21:55I'm a this, I'm a that.
21:56All I was going to do was say a few words about Ricky Hatton.
21:58I don't want to hear any of your few words.
22:00Okay.
22:01I won't say anything about-
22:02Let's move on with the press conference.
22:03You're an asshole.
22:04You talk shit.
22:05You talk shit.
22:06I'm going to speak over you for as long as it takes.
22:08It doesn't matter.
22:09You can do that.
22:10Anyway.
22:11We know the drill.
22:12Let's move on.
22:13Okay.
22:14You know what?
22:15I want to talk about something else.
22:16Forget Eddie.
22:17I want to talk about the British boxing board of control.
22:21And more specifically, a man by the name of Robert Smith.
22:28This is the big boss behind the scenes.
22:33The head honcho.
22:34The man with all the power that controls everything that goes on in professional boxing inside of the United Kingdom.
22:43Jeez.
22:44This guy's a big deal.
22:45He really is.
22:46Now this idiot allowed a room full of media and cameramen into my private way in the day before the fight.
22:58Is this when you were sabotaged again?
23:01And the time that it took to get these people out contributed to me missing the weight.
23:07Chris, you turned up over an hour late.
23:09And getting fined 500k.
23:11Okay.
23:12You turned up over an hour late.
23:13Okay.
23:14He let Conor Benn fight in gloves filled with horse hair knowing that it was a direct breach of the contract I had for this fight.
23:24And on fight night, he personally escorted an arch nemesis of mine, Billy Joe Saunders, to my changing room to disrupt and try and ruin my preparations for the biggest fight of my life.
23:41So, and then afterwards, he gets into the ring and is trying to shake my hand and congratulate me.
23:47I mean, the balls on this guy.
23:50It's viciously clear for me to see that this toad is nothing more than a puppet and a pawn.
24:00I think he is in the back pockets of Matrim and Eddie Hearn.
24:05Wow.
24:06Another one that's got it in for you.
24:07Absolutely.
24:08You are so unlucky.
24:09So, unfortunately, just another scumbag in this treacherous underhanded industry we find ourselves in.
24:19The mask is slipping, Christopher.
24:21It's unfortunate.
24:22Okay.
24:23Now, continuing on from that, the board, the British Boxing Board of Control, they opened several investigations into some of the things I did in the lead up to the fight.
24:40No investigations, by the way, into why my ambulance was stopped from leaving the stadium for 20 minutes, but I guess trying to find out why I was talking about being in a sauna before the fight is much more important.
24:53Anyway, the board have graciously awarded me with a multitude of fines over the last six months.
25:05And my question is, where is this money going?
25:12You know, the Boxing Board of Control, they're supposed to be supporting the foundations and governing the community of boxing in Great Britain.
25:26So, in my eyes, the money that I was being fined should be going to the community.
25:32It should be going to kids that can't afford equipment.
25:37It should be going to local gyms.
25:39The money should be going to fighters who have suffered injuries, medical bills.
25:46But as far as I can see it, that's not happening.
25:51The money simply seems to be lining the pockets of fat cats on the board, like Robert Smith.
25:58Don't worry. Don't worry, Ben. It's okay.
26:02And, you know, it's sad to see.
26:06So, I'm asking you guys, the media, to shine a light on this situation and find out where is all this money going?
26:16Because it's not going to the community. I'll tell you that now.
26:20Just food for thought.
26:21Well, let's hear from the training teams as well, quickly.
26:24Firstly, to BOMAC and SL Diagaz as well down there at the end of the table.
26:29BOMAC, as Chris said, congratulations on a wonderful victory with Bud Crawford over the weekend.
26:35But back involved in Team Eubank for this fight.
26:38When did that all come about?
26:40And what do you think of this man here, Connor Benn, as a challenge?
26:44Well, first of all, I just want to say thanks for, you know, this great event.
26:50I'm happy to be a part of.
26:54How it came about was just by a phone call.
26:57And after I watched the first fight and when they called for the second fight,
27:04we tried to get together for the first fight, but the timing wasn't right.
27:09When they called, it was a no brainer.
27:15So, I'm just happy to be here and be a part of a historical fight.
27:21How much better do you believe your man, Chris Eubank Jr., can be in this fight?
27:27Well, I'll tell you what.
27:29And this is no knock on them over there.
27:31I believe it's going to be a little bit easier this time.
27:34You're damn right.
27:36For the simple fact he already got his number.
27:40It's hard to get away from when somebody already didn't beat your ass.
27:47It's hard because it's already stuck in your head.
27:50They said I'm too old, Coach.
27:52They said I don't want it anymore.
27:53They said I'm washed up.
27:54And they're going to find out.
27:56That's right.
27:57I have just been informed in my ear, a special message from his excellent Sea Turkey LL Shake,
28:02who says that Eddie Hearn is more popular than Chris Eubank Jr.
28:05because he has his own Netflix documentary.
28:08That's good news.
28:09Chris can watch that tonight.
28:10Six episodes.
28:11Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:12We all know about that.
28:13How you're postering me all over your trailers and stuff like that.
28:15Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:16The guy that doesn't deserve to be here and you're using me in all your trailers.
28:18I know.
28:19It's okay.
28:20You made me a lot of money in that documentary.
28:21One thing you're not going to do is promote that crap at my press conference.
28:24You've got six episodes, five hours of working.
28:27It doesn't matter how many episodes you've got.
28:28You can pull your plonker off in Brighton all night for that.
28:30You'll be loving it.
28:31You're still going to be a scumbag promoter that uses other fighters
28:35to propel yourself into the limelight.
28:38Blocks ambulances.
28:39Loses toner.
28:40You're so famous.
28:41You talk more than your fighters do.
28:43Look at you.
28:44That's my job.
28:45Connor hasn't said a word.
28:46You're the only one talking.
28:47I'm bored listening to you about Robert Smith moaning like a baby as the mask slips.
28:50Yeah, I'm talking.
28:51Jamie, over to you.
28:52I'm talking.
28:53You sit and talk.
28:54You shut your mouth down there.
28:55And nobody wants to hear you talk.
28:56No one wants to hear about you.
28:57Netflix.
28:58It's out now.
28:59Enjoy the episodes.
29:01No one's going to watch it, mate.
29:02Good luck.
29:03Trainer Tony Sims, a quick word from yourself.
29:05When you think about the game plan, Tony, what perhaps didn't go to plan in April
29:10and what do you believe will be different this time round?
29:12Yeah.
29:13Look, the fight was a tremendous fight for the fans.
29:17Both boys put everything on the line and it was a great fight, you know, and I believe,
29:25and Connor knows this, that he's got to make adjustments to beat Chris the next time.
29:30But I believe that Connor's got in his locker to do that.
29:33And I think he was emotionally too much emotionally involved in that first fight.
29:41I believe that there was a lot of firsts that happened to him.
29:46Obviously, first fight up at middleweight.
29:50As we know, he's a welterweight and it was his first fight at middleweight.
29:54First time topping the bill in a big stadium.
30:00And obviously his first loss.
30:03So, you know, he's got to overcome that and he's got to make these adjustments.
30:09But I believe that he will do that.
30:11And I believe that he will become victorious this time.
30:16And for you, Nigel, as well, albeit it didn't go the way of your son.
30:21What were your overriding feelings and emotions when you left Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that night?
30:27I was actually all right about it.
30:29Chris put up a good fight.
30:30But to me, that was Connor at his worth.
30:34He was winging punches in, throwing them left, right, not even thinking about what he was doing.
30:40Everything that we practiced for the 12 weeks of training, he didn't do one thing.
30:45Absolutely one thing.
30:47And he had him hurt so many times, but yet he kept on showing all the punches that he was going to throw.
30:52And I thought to myself, mate, that weren't even a real Connor.
30:56But I'm glad that he'd done 12 rounds with a middleweight.
30:58And the funny thing about it, we all keep saying that we made him struggling with the weight.
31:03But Chris is IBO middleweight champion.
31:08He fights at 160 all the time, the last four fights.
31:11I've been at 160.
31:12So why are we all saying-
31:13Not with a rehydration clause, though.
31:15Struggling at the weight.
31:17But you understand.
31:18Ben, he didn't miss the rehydration clause.
31:20He missed his 160 weight.
31:22Why are you even up here, bruv?
31:24I don't even know why you're up here.
31:25Connor.
31:26No, but I genuinely don't know why you're sitting up here.
31:28What are you famous for?
31:29I don't know why you're sitting up here.
31:30It ain't about that, bruv.
31:32I don't even know why you're sitting up here.
31:33Yeah, what are you famous for?
31:34Ben, Ben.
31:35Yeah.
31:36Yeah.
31:37Well, you know what it is.
31:38It's just like, all we've got to do is wait for November the 15th, mate.
31:42And we see the real Connor.
31:43Real Connor.
31:44Not running away.
31:45Not lunging the punches in.
31:47Taking his time.
31:48Doing the best that I know that he can do.
31:50This wasn't the real Connor.
31:52And that's why I'm happy that he'd done 12 hard rounds.
31:55And yet, he had him wobbling about three or four times.
31:58But didn't know how to finish him.
32:00Because the occasion got to him.
32:02And he went in there.
32:03What got in Connor's head.
32:05He kept on saying, I'm going to take his head off.
32:07I'm going to take his head off.
32:09If he just said like, you know what?
32:10Yeah, I'm going to box him.
32:11He didn't.
32:12He went in there thinking, I'm going to take his head off.
32:15And that reminded me the same when he thought the French guy, Painard,
32:18just want to go in and take his head off.
32:20Winging the punches in, I thought, oh my gosh.
32:23He's not going to win this.
32:25But I didn't come away like, you know, upset.
32:28I just cuddle my son.
32:29Didn't say a word.
32:31Didn't say a word.
32:32And the funny thing about it, the next day we went in the sauna.
32:36Because Connor's been giving me grief.
32:38He said, mate, if you took care of business, I wouldn't have to do this.
32:42So then, we got in the shower.
32:44I've got to tell you this joke.
32:46We got in the shower.
32:47And I left the door open.
32:49And he started...
32:50The sauna, Dad.
32:51The sauna.
32:52He said...
32:53And he said, mate, what are you leaving the door open for?
32:57And he was really moaning at me.
32:59I said, shut up, you loser.
33:01But we kind of...
33:03But we both burst out laughing.
33:05Because at the end of the day, we know that this...
33:07It was a little bit too soon, Dad.
33:09It was like the day after the fire.
33:10Yeah, I know.
33:11But you gave it to me though, didn't you?
33:14You said, if I'd done the job, you wouldn't have to do it.
33:17And you lost.
33:18Now you've got to go and put the record straight, mate.
33:20Thanks for the reminder.
33:21Yeah, don't worry, mate.
33:22I'm going to keep reminding you that until you get that victory.
33:25Connor, what can you fix?
33:27What must you fix?
33:28Listen, I had a beautiful camp.
33:29I had a great camp.
33:30You know, I worked extremely hard.
33:32I've done the best I could on the night.
33:34It was a lack of discipline on the night.
33:36You can't prepare for the occasion, the emotions.
33:40It was my first fight back here in three years.
33:43It's just experience gained and lesson learned, you know, for me.
33:47But ultimately, I gained more discipline, more calculated.
33:51Still that ferocity and tenacity.
33:53But just, yeah, less emotion.
33:56You told Chris to bring his winter coat this time.
33:58Can you tell us what you mean by that?
34:00Well, we thought it was going to be a walk in the park.
34:02And I know that's the only reason why he's taking the fight.
34:04Because there's plenty of names in his division at this stage of his career
34:09if he had ambitions of winning a world title.
34:11So, you know, if it was going to be an easy fight and it turned out,
34:15not quite so.
34:17That's all I meant by that.
34:19What was the difference between the pair of you, Chris, in your own words?
34:23What was Connor's undoing in April?
34:30What was his undoing?
34:32I'm a better fighter than him.
34:35They keep talking about weights.
34:37He hasn't fought at the welterweight for nearly four years.
34:42How many times did you hear Terence Crawford talking about
34:45the weight divisions he's coming up, fighting Canelo,
34:48who's fought at light heavyweight?
34:50And there was no rehydration causes in that fight.
34:53So it's pretty embarrassing the amount of times that these guys consistently talk about weight.
34:58It had nothing to do with the weight.
35:01I am the better, more experienced, more dedicated fighter.
35:06That's why he didn't beat me and that's why he shall not beat me in November.
35:12We'll see.
35:13How do you do it, Connor?
35:14How do you beat Chris Eubank Jr.?
35:16Less greed.
35:18You know, when I had him hurt in there.
35:20I mean, he's going to say I didn't have him hurt when I thought I had him hurt.
35:26You know, I was just too greedy in there, looking for the headshots.
35:29Game plan went out the window as soon as I hit him in the third round.
35:33It was a matter of, it felt like I was always one punch away from closing the show.
35:40And I was looking for that one punch, you know, and he looked vulnerable in there.
35:45He looked vulnerable.
35:46At some stages he looked old and, you know, I was too busy going in there,
35:50trying to hurt him over getting the wins.
35:54What makes you laugh, Chris, when you hear that?
35:56Old and vulnerable and this old man's talking about, he wobbled me four or five times.
36:02You just got to watch it.
36:03You just got to watch the fight.
36:04You just got to watch the fight.
36:05At no stage did you hurt me in there.
36:07The delusion of these guys.
36:09Just watch it.
36:10It's not delusion if you can physically see it, Chris.
36:12It's breathtaking.
36:13It really is.
36:15You know, yes, you caught me with a few shots.
36:18Was I out my feet?
36:19Mate, you was in hospital for three days sipping food for a straw.
36:22That's what you were doing.
36:23So stop being, stop all this silly talk.
36:25When you were suffering from severe dehydration, you have to be treated.
36:30How much did you weigh then?
36:31That was nothing to do with your...
36:32That's what you guys agreed.
36:33That was nothing to do with your performance.
36:34That's what you guys agreed.
36:35You guys agreed the 10% of the dehydration.
36:37Regardless of what was agreed.
36:38We said, well, regardless of what was agreed, but your team are idiots then, aren't they?
36:41Because that's what they agreed.
36:42The reason I was in hospital was dehydration.
36:43See, my team have my best interest at heart.
36:45They obviously don't yours because if that's done that much damage, you'd bring it up now.
36:49Why not bring it now?
36:51You wanted to talk about it.
36:52You wanted to...
36:53It wasn't even a topic of discussion, Chris.
36:55I'm not here to talk about it.
36:56Well, exactly.
36:57So then stop moaning about it.
36:58Oh, please.
36:59That's you guys.
37:00Stop moaning about it.
37:01I'll let you guys moan about it.
37:02Oh, we're good.
37:03We're good, Chris.
37:04I'm here to fight.
37:05We ain't moaned about it once.
37:06All we hear is you moaning, Chris.
37:07I haven't moaned about it.
37:08I feel flattered that you brought a new trainer in.
37:10I feel flattered that you brought Bomac in.
37:12Because I know you know you need it.
37:14And he's a great coach.
37:15Coach.
37:16You're a great coach, Bomac.
37:17And I've got love for you, mate.
37:18But you can't polish a turd.
37:19Apologies.
37:21One sentence.
37:22One sentence prediction, Connor.
37:23Just finally one sentence.
37:24Listen.
37:25It ain't a final prediction.
37:26I ain't gonna go in there and try and render him unconscious as much as I'd love to.
37:30I'm gonna go in there and do the best I can with what I can and be disciplined in there.
37:36For me, that's experience gained.
37:38And really use that experience and the lessons learned from the first fight.
37:43And for you, Chris, final sentence.
37:45What happens in the rematch?
37:46How do you do it?
37:48Again.
37:49The parliamentary will be the procedure.
37:53Oh, oh.
37:54The master.
37:55The master will be the matador.
37:59This man will be the bull.
38:02I'll be holding my flag up.
38:04Chris, this has been a pleasure.
38:05He will be running around that ring trying to employ all the new techniques.
38:10And, oh, I don't want to go out there and wear my sleeve and win my punches.
38:15So I'm gonna box and we're gonna have this strategy.
38:17All of that stuff is gonna go out of the window as soon as that first little right hand connects on his chin.
38:22And after that, we're gonna have fun in there, baby, like I always do.
38:26The procedure will be parliamentary.
38:28You guys will see.
38:29Okay, a fight that truly sells itself.
38:31The demand through the roof already.
38:33Tickets on general sale tomorrow.
38:35Set your reminders at ticketmaster.co.uk as we bring the fighters.
38:39Hold on to your hats.
38:40Face to face, once again, Chris Eubank Jr. and Connor Benn.
38:44And we also welcome to the stage Dr Rakan Nalathi, the Managing Director of CELLAR.
38:49Thank you very much.
39:14Thank you very much.
39:44Thank you very much.
39:56Thank you very much.
40:05Thank you very much.
