00:18Under the broader re-Nissan turnaround plan, design activities will be consolidated into five hubs located in Los Angeles, London, Shanghai, Tokyo and Atsugi in Japan.
00:32Nissan confirmed that its Los Angeles Studio 6 will serve as the company's main US designed hub, while London will continue to support markets across Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania, while working closely with Reynolds.
00:47The company, however, has not disclosed how many jobs will be affected by the restructuring.
00:52Chief Executive Ivan Espinoza, who took over in April, introduced the re-Nissan plan in May.
00:58It aims to restore profitability by reducing global production capacity from 3.5 million vehicles to 2.5 million,
01:06and by cutting the number of manufacturing sites from 17 to 10 by fiscal 2027.
