00:00What is up Gamer Nation?
00:30You know this B, new John the Gamer's T4, coming at you with episode 70 of John the Gamer's
00:36Munchies Review.
00:38So we got a special one here today.
00:41So apparently they made this new fusion Little Debbie snack cake, which is a fusion of the
00:47Nutty Buddies and the Cream Pies, except it's a little different with the Cream Pies, I mean
00:55they got the cream pie aspect of the oatmeal cream pie, minus the oatmeal and the cream.
01:02So this one is a soft peanut butter cookies with a chocolatey coating and peanut butter
01:08cream.
01:09So this one should be interesting, but yeah, I just like the whole fusion idea of it.
01:18So why not give it a try?
01:20Alright, and we got these cute little characters, a jar of peanut butter with a cute little face,
01:28and a chocolate candy bar as well.
01:31Yeah, that's adorable.
01:33Love it.
01:34Alright, let's take a look at the back here.
01:38So we got some little tidbits about Nutty Bars.
01:43So Nutty Bars have been satisfying Sweet Tooth for over 60 years.
01:48Fun fact, Snack Time favorite even predates the iconic Little Debbie brand, which hasn't
01:53been introduced until 1960, so since 59.
01:59Crazy.
02:00How many layers?
02:01Each Nutty Buddy bar features four crispy layers stacked with creamy peanut butter cream,
02:06perfect for a crunchy nutty bite.
02:09What's in the name?
02:10Did you know in 2016, Nutty Bars became Nutty Buddy, but don't worry, it's still the same
02:15delicious treat with a friendly updated name, and let's get festive.
02:21Since 2015, Nutty Buddy Bars have been featured seasonal offerings like the North Pole Nutty Buddy
02:27for Christmas, plus these festive treats come individually wrapped.
02:32Dude, I would've loved to try these, man.
02:35Wonder if they taste like candy cane or peppermint or something like that.
02:40But it does remind me of those freshly baked cookies from 7-Eleven.
02:44Cause I think, probably a year or so ago, like around Christmas time, they actually had
02:51like, the cookies that had like, uh, what was it like, kinda like white chocolate peppermint,
02:58or peppermint, peppermint white chocolate chips or something like that.
03:02But holy crap, man, those were so freaking good.
03:05Alright.
03:06Well, let's go ahead and, uh, test her out, and see how it hurts.
03:14Alright, let's open her in.
03:18So, yeah, these did get a little, uh, a little melty.
03:33But I think they like, try to, like, uh, there you go.
03:37Cause I haven't even opened this box, or opened this box.
03:42So, yeah, if you ever, like, been to Vegas, or you actually live in Vegas, you know how
03:47rural the summer heat can be.
03:49So, you know, whether you're shopping for food and putting it in your hot car.
03:54Yeah.
03:55So, no ice cream for sale.
03:57Alright.
03:58Haha.
03:59Well, yeah, anyways.
04:00Yeah.
04:01Here it is.
04:02Got an opener up.
04:05Oh.
04:06Super peanut butter cookie smell.
04:11Well, yeah, take a look at it.
04:16That's kinda cool.
04:17They almost replicated the same design as, like, the nutty bars.
04:23With, like, the ridges and all that.
04:25It's kinda like a little pattern.
04:27They're up with people.
04:28They're crispy.
04:30Got two chocolate-covered peanut butter cookies.
04:36Alrighty.
04:37Well, let's add apples to tea.
04:48Yeah, a lot of some good peanut butter cookies.
04:51I think it's soft.
04:52I don't know.
04:53It's like the oatmeal cream pie.
04:54Like, yeah, like, those cookies were a little softer, I want to say.
04:58Especially when they're fresh.
04:59You ever buy, like, a fresh box of oatmeal cream pies and it's, like, really soft?
05:04I mean, this is soft.
05:05For sure.
05:06But I don't know if it's as soft as the oatmeal cream pies.
05:07But it tastes good.
05:08Tastes good.
05:09It does make your mouth dry.
05:11So it is a little dry.
05:12So there's that.
05:13Uh, peanut butter cream?
05:14I don't know.
05:15Uh, peanut butter cream?
05:16I don't know.
05:17It just tastes kind of generic.
05:18Not bad, necessarily.
05:19But I don't know why they couldn't just use, like, real peanut butter.
05:23It's like a peanut butter substitute.
05:32It's like a peanut butter cream.
05:33Not actually...
05:34Peanut butter cream.
05:35It's not actual peanut butter.
05:36I mean, it is decent for what it is, but...
05:38I mean, it is decent for what it is.
05:40know why they couldn't just use like real peanut butter it's like a peanut butter
05:44substitute peanut butter cream not actual peanut butter cream. I mean it's decent for
05:52what it is and then maybe like as far as the nutty buddy aspect is concerned they
06:01could have added maybe like little pieces of wafer in the middle to get at
06:07least a little bit of a crunch. I mean because it's nice to you know bite into
06:12a soft cookie but like if you want to have like hints of a crunch I think it
06:17would make the experience way better. But yeah it's not bad at all not bad at all
06:24but I probably wouldn't give this a three out of five stars on this one like it tastes
06:33good but it's kind of dry. The peanut butter cream is just kind of basic kind
06:39of generic. I wish they would have used real peanut butter but yeah
06:49yeah and also implement the like little hints of like wafers from like a nutty
06:55bar yeah to give it that authentic little crunch as you're biting into a soft cookie.
07:02You know what I mean? Almost reminds me of the Reese's Big Cup that
07:10had the like potato chips in it. Kind of like that. Kind of like that. That's like
07:16what I would want it out of this product here. But yeah not bad. But I'd say I'd
07:27probably stick with either the nutty bar or the actual oatmeal in the pot. Because those are like
07:34definitely a bit better in my opinion. But the peanut butter cookies here actually taste good. I mean
07:43chocolate covered peanut butter cookies I mean that's not a bad idea at all. But I don't know
07:49they could change some things here. Make it better. Yep. Pretty much my two cents on this
07:58nutty buddy cream pie. So yeah. Alrighty folks thank you all for watching this episode. So love, peace, and green.
08:09Let's go.
08:18Let's go.
