00:00You know, there's a huge possibility that Pakistan can get eliminated from the Asia Cup 2025.

00:05You know, after India vs. Pakistan match on 14th September,
00:09PCP had allegedly claimed that it was the match referee Andy Pycroft
00:12who had asked the two captains to not shake hands.
00:16And they had a statement from ICC that if Andy Pycroft is not removed from the tournament,
00:20if you're not removed from the Asia Cup 2025,
00:23then they will be boycotting the game against UAE on 17th September.
00:25To which ICC has rejected their plea completely.
00:29This means that if Pakistan didn't play on 17th September against UAE,
00:33so UAE will be awarded with 2 points and they'll have 4 points.
00:37India already has 4 points and Pakistan will finish their campaign with 2 points
00:41and hence they will not qualify to the super force.
00:44Before this, there have been a lot of times in the Asia Cup there have been boycotts.
00:47You know, in 1986 India boycotted the Asia Cup because of their strained relations with Sri Lanka.
00:52After that, in 1990 Pakistan did not play against India that is because of their strained relations that time.
00:59So, in 1993 when the tournament had to be cancelled in the wake of the strained relations between India and Pakistan.
01:05And eventually, it was India who did not play the Champions Trophy in 2008 in Pakistan as well.
01:11So, it's a common thing for India and Pakistan to boycott Asia Cup tournaments.
