Hyderabad: Heavy rains lashed the city last night, leading to the collapse of a nala retaining wall at Parsigutta in Musheerabad. The incident caused severe flooding in nearby bastis, with water gushing into several houses and resulting in extensive property loss.
According to the HYDRAA Commissioner, all residents were safely rescued, except for a youngster who was tragically washed away in the floodwaters. Officials confirmed that apart from this incident, no further loss of life was reported.
Videos from the site clearly show water from the nala breaching the wall and flooding adjoining residential areas, leaving behind destruction and hardship for local families.
