00:24Ever since leaving Konoha to join Orochimaru, Naruto and Sasuke's relationship has been
00:33more than hostile.
00:35Naruto had to try to convince him multiple times to no avail, with Sasuke going deeper
00:40and deeper into darkness.
00:49Following the conclusion of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Sasuke reveals his plans to Naruto
00:54and the two eventually come to blows.
01:01After a spectacular showdown, the two finally manage to talk it out, and Naruto finally convinces
01:06Sasuke to return to the village.
01:09After all the ups and downs these two have been through, it was incredibly satisfying to see
01:13them make up, even if they both had to lose an arm in the process.
01:27As we'll get into in more detail later in this list, Naruto was made an orphan on the
01:35very day he was born.
01:37Without any family, Naruto essentially lived a life of solitude growing up, whilst trying
01:42to take over the Ninetales Chakra, Naruto comes across the spirit of a red-haired woman.
02:00Naruto is initially wary of her, but as soon as he realizes who she is, he instantly embraces
02:07her.
02:13The two finally get to bond after all this time.
02:16Not only is seeing mother and son finally together incredibly heartwarming, but seeing
02:21them part once again brings a tear to the eye.
02:32As Boruto unleashes the true essence of his karma, it sadly all becomes a bit too much for him,
02:40which results in Momoshiki finally taking control over his body.
02:44When the Otsutsuki member then goes on to threaten Naruto's life, Kawagi takes things
02:49into his own hands, and fulfills the promise he made to Boruto by killing him after an intense
02:54fight.
03:03As the Hokage is starting to realize what has happened to Boruto, he is overcome with grief,
03:09and we are shown brief flashbacks showing how much he cares for his son.
03:15After all the struggles Naruto has gone through in his life, it was absolutely heart-breaking
03:19to see him at his lowest once again.
03:26Naruto asks Iruka to attend the wedding as his father
03:30From the very first episode of the series, we've known of the strong bond between Naruto
03:34and his teacher Iruka.
03:36He's always wanted the best for Naruto and always looked out for him, despite many others
03:41wrongly associating him with Kurama's attack on Konoha, which was also the cause for the
03:46death of his own parents.
03:54With his big day fast approaching, Naruto asks his sensei the important question, will
04:00he take on the role of his father at the wedding?
04:08Overcome with emotion, Iruka happily accepts.
04:11After everything he's been through, Iruka absolutely deserved this touching moment.
04:24The Village Accepts Naruto As we mentioned in the previous entry, Naruto
04:29suffered greatly throughout his life for wrongly being associated with the Ninetales attack on
04:34Konoha.
04:35He was essentially ostracized by many within the village, leading to further isolation.
04:40After saving the village from Pain's devastating attack, Naruto returns home to surprisingly
04:45see a huge fanfare from the village.
04:49For years, one of Naruto's goals was to have everyone in the village respect him, and after
04:59trying so hard and never giving up, it was hard to not get all teary-eyed during this moment.
05:14After Ishiki single-handedly devastates our heroes, Kurama tells Naruto there's one final
05:20trump card they can use against him.
05:25This turns out to be Naruto's new powerful baryon mode, which allows him and the others
05:30to finally put the Kara leader out for good.
05:33Unfortunately, Kurama neglected to tell Naruto that the key to the new form was to sacrifice
05:39himself.
05:40As Kurama begins to fade away, the two share one final fist bump.
05:52Naruto had been with Kurama since the day he was born, and although he was initially a hindrance
05:58to him, the two formed one of the closest bonds in the franchise.
06:02So to see them part ways after all this time struck deep.
06:09As we'll discuss later on, Gaara had a lonely childhood, which was made all the worse by
06:25his family's apparent hatred for him.
06:27Before his death, Gaara's uncle had told him that his mother had given him his name to reflect
06:33her hatred for the Tsunagakuri, rather than her love for him.
06:46During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Gaara confronts and subdues his returning father.
06:51Here, he reveals to him that his uncle reluctantly lied to him under his orders, and that the
06:57sand that protects him is not Shukagu's, but rather his mother's.

07:14Not only is it incredibly moving to see Gaara find out that he was loved, but it's also great
07:20to see his father own up to his past mistakes.

07:38Guy's Childhood Mike Guy's road to a top shinobi was certainly rocky.
07:43He was unable to get into the academy due to the fact that he was unable to perform ninjutsu
07:48or genjutsu.
07:50Luckily, his father, Might Dai, who was known as the Eternal Ganon, taught him to never give
08:01up no matter what, despite many making fun of the two.
08:12Through tough training and Dai's immense love for his son, Guy was finally able to get into
08:17the academy.
08:18But unfortunately, later down the line, Dai would sacrifice himself against the seven ninja
08:23swordsmen of the mist in order to save his son.

08:31Nagato's past Nagato's childhood was a tough one.
08:36After his parents were murdered, he was forced to fend for himself in the war-torn amegakure.
08:47Things finally started to turn around for him when he met and formed an unbreakable bond
08:52with fellow war orphans Conan and Yahiko.
09:03The three would also form a close relationship with Jiraiya, who would teach them how to use
09:08ninjutsu in order to defend themselves.
09:11As they grew up, the trio would find themselves more and more involved in the war, with Yahiko
09:16leading them with others in a group of ninja.
09:19Sadly, this would lead to them being betrayed by Hanzo, who would force Nagato to kill Yahiko,
09:25and lead him down a dark path to becoming pain.
09:29You are the one who was born in this world.
09:36During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Naruto was able to meet his deceased father once more
09:41thanks to the forbidden Ito Tensei reanimation jutsu.
09:44However, it wasn't until the war's conclusion that they were finally able to have a heart-to-heart.
09:50Minato congratulates his son for his birthday and tells him that he's proud of the man
09:55he has become.
09:59Before passing to the other side, Naruto tells his father to let his mother not worry about
10:04him and that he's doing his absolute best.
10:12This emotional moment is an absolutely perfect conclusion to the bond between Naruto and his
10:33father.
10:34Namatse, Naruto and Hinata finally kiss.
10:37It took hundreds of episodes and a handful of movies to get here, but it happened at long
10:42last.
10:43Naruto just happened to notice he had a grade A girl watching him from afar this whole time
10:49and decides to get on it.
10:57Of course, he had to kick the shit out of a man from the moon beforehand, but at the very
11:02least we got a rather enchanting scene of the pair kissing before a beautiful moonlit night.
11:07Hinata confessing her love just before pain sent her flying was pretty potent too, but
11:19we're pretty sure the ship has lost their minds over this little exchange.

11:24Itachi's Past For the longest time, the older brother of the
11:28Uchiha clan was believed to be nothing more than an unfeeling murderer who had killed his
11:34family, igniting the flame of vengeance that fueled Sasuke.
11:38Then we found out he is possibly the most tragic and kind-hearted among Naruto's pantheon.
11:52In order to suppress a coup among his own clan that would have spiraled into another war,
11:57Itachi painted himself as the villain and killed everyone he loved, except for Sasuke, choosing
12:03instead to make his sibling believe his older brother was a monster so he could grow up one
12:08day to avenge the Uchiha and be hailed a hero.
12:19Selfless doesn't even begin to cover it.
12:26Going from a rival to a rather mellow dude, Neji's turnaround was certainly one of the more
12:31staggering, even becoming downright likeable by the time the fourth Great Ninja War rolled
12:36around, which made his passing all the more painful.
12:51Stepping in the way of an attack meant for Naruto and Hinata, the once-embittered Hyuga takes
12:56the full brunt of Mara's attack.
13:04This sadly would result in him dying to save the cousin he used to despise and the man who
13:09would become the Hokage.
13:19Not to downplay just how saddening it was to see Asuma die at the hands of Hidan's zealot
13:24jutsu, but there was just something about the way in which the always composed Shikamaru broke
13:29down just days later that really tore into us.
13:37While the grieving process is certainly necessary for him to move on, the way in which he tosses
13:42the shogi board before allowing himself to mourn his beloved teacher feels so genuinely
13:47human, you're bound to shed a tear or two.
13:54It's no secret that Naruto's an orphan, but who would have guessed that hundreds of episodes
14:09on, we'd actually get to see Ma and Pa Uzumaki bite the big one.
14:13After Robito successfully summons the nine-tailed fox, Minato and Kushina are left with no choice
14:19but to seal away the tailed beast's power into their newborn son, sacrificing their lives
14:24in the process.
14:32With only a handful of seconds to say goodbye to their child, Kushina offers a tearful rundown
14:37of motherly advice, and will be damned if it wasn't heartbreaking.
14:54With a childhood that mirrored Naruto's in many aspects, it's little wonder Gaara spent
14:58in his early teens as a bloodthirsty monster that killed anyone who crossed him, which is
15:04somewhat understandable when his own father tried to have him assassinated.
15:12After getting the one-tailed shukaku sealed inside of him, Gaara became a pariah of the
15:16sand village, feared by the masses due to the way his sanjutsu automatically lashed out
15:22at those who had come near him.
15:36Throw in a dead mother and a father who viewed him as an experiment gone wrong, and it's
15:40kind of amazing he turned out for the better.
15:59The fact this entry could almost be multiple choice is depressing in of itself, but for
16:04argument's sake, we're going to say his secondary demise following the fight with Kaguya.
16:09Not only because he finally made peace with Kakashi, but because he got to see Rin again.
16:20Given all the torment he had endured all throughout his life, this beautiful afterlife reunion was
16:26sweeter than it had any right to be.
16:28Good on him for finally getting the girl of his dreams, posthumously, but still.

16:43Jiraiya's death.
16:44This one still hurts.
16:46A lot.
16:47While he may have been a perverted hermit, Jiraiya slowly grew on us as a beloved mentor
16:53and surrogate father figure for Naruto.
16:56Seeking out the Akatsuki leader, the Toad Sage hoped to defeat Pain himself to save
17:05the village from his wrath, only to discover that the mastermind was actually his old student.
17:16We won't deny the battle between them was one of the best the series has ever produced,
17:21but it still gets us each time we see Jiraiya fall to the bottom of the lake, passing the
17:25wheel of fire onto his knuckle-headed apprentice.
17:51Ever since Sasuke learned the truth about his brother's courage and sacrifice, we were
17:55all dying to see the once hate-filled sibling reunite and confront Itachi over the truth
18:00of his actions.
18:08Thankfully after being brought back as a zombie, not only did we see the two Sharingan users
18:13work side by side in combat, but Itachi was finally able to make amends with his brother
18:18Sasuke and tell him that he loved him.
18:21Both in life and in death, Itachi was the man.
18:25He loved him.
