00:00the only man in the sky is me welcome to watch mojo and today we're counting down our picks
00:09for those superpowered heroes who may not exactly be the best role models i've never seen you lose
00:15like that before yeah number 10 u.s agent things are about to get weird so when they do
00:25we're not gonna need a captain america we're gonna need a u.s agent
00:34the misguided beliefs opinions and methods of john walker aka marvel's u.s agent can also be
00:42juxtaposed against another alias for which walker formerly held the super patriot all three
00:47iterations of this villain feel justified in their motives and believe themselves to be heroes that
00:51are acting in america's best interest i gotta know how'd you get in i don't remember walker while
01:02not an actual super villain as the mcu u.s agent was the second super patriot in marvel comics
01:07wyatt russell's portrayal of walker gives u.s agent a bit more complexity since this fallen
01:12former captain america is a decorated military veteran who usually tries to do the right thing
01:16unfortunately walker is quick to both anger and violence and rarely takes personal accountability
01:22for his behavior we're taking you in bell i don't think so junior varsity captain america
01:30walker number nine namor the submariner
01:34everybody loves a good anti-hero right perhaps this explains why namor the submariner has existed
01:55in one form or another since way back in 1939 this is another character who's vacillated between hero
02:01and villain over the years thanks primarily to namor's complicated relationship with those living
02:05above the waves this mutant king of atlantis has a short fuse and often lets his passion hot-headed
02:11personality blind him to reason who are you i have many names my people call me
02:19but my enemies call me namor namor has been one of marvel's most reliable heroes over the years
02:29working alongside groups like the avengers and the fantastic four however the submariner's proud
02:34and stubborn nature will always keep him at arm's length from becoming any sort of moral role model
02:39number eight roy harper aka speedy aliens invaded the earth
02:53and ollie grew that dopey goatee we try not to call ourselves sidekicks you don't like the goatee
02:58why do we love to discuss the love lives of our favorite fictional superhero it's not entirely clear
03:03but one thing's for sure speedy loves the ladies this former ward of the green arrow also known as
03:09roy harper is flirtatious to a fault now this in itself doesn't make speedy a terrible person but his
03:15indifference towards the relationship status of any potential paramours does make speedy kind of a jerk
03:20titans go and the fact that she's hot has nothing to do with it
03:26elsewhere this expert marksman is almost as quick with his jabs ribbing and insults as he is with an
03:31arrow this has often led many dc comics fans to label harper as a problematic and unlikable member
03:37of the teen titan i thought it was his partner but not anymore
03:42number seven booster gold we need you it's about time not you him squeaky wheel we admit that dc's
03:55booster gold seems to be a character who's perpetually paying for his personal sins this
04:00is due to the fact that at least in the early days booster gold was a self-aggrandizing showboat who
04:05used superheroes for financial gain his cocky and devil-may-care personality may make booster
04:10gold charismatic but it also made him historically untrustworthy look at the reality that i've
04:15created people are excited about a hero that they can actually see this is despite boosters later
04:22years presenting him as at least a somewhat reformed jerk one who legitimately wants to do the right
04:27thing while shining up his tarnished reputation i thought i told you to stay on crowd control
04:32number six hank pimp slash ant-man tell me that isn't what i think it is that depends if you think
04:46it's a poor attempt to replicate my work even for this group that takes nerve die hard comic book fans
04:53knew full well the reasons why marvel decided to utilize the second ant-man scott lane in the lead
04:59role of 2015's movie as opposed to the og hank pym this is due primarily to a storyline where pym lost
05:05both his wife and his job with the avengers after an incident of domestic violence although it should
05:10be said that this behavior hasn't fully defined pym in either the comics or the mcu it did cause this
05:15otherwise brilliant scientist to rethink his behavior this has allowed for pym to receive at least a
05:20modicum of redemption over the years but it was truly unfortunate that it took such a dramatic
05:25mistake for ant-man to head down this road darren don't do this if you sell to these men it's
05:33gonna be chaos i already have and for twice the price thanks to you number five the comedian
05:39you sell a jupiter's kid you're the comedian right you're pretty cool in there there has always been a
05:47fine line between vigilante and villain and rarely has this line been as blurred as it was with the
05:52comedian edward blake's personality feels as flawed as the comedian's idea of justice this rough and
05:58tough customer started out taking a bite out of crime as a member of the minute men before graduating
06:02to doing dirty work for the u.s government
06:04oh this is getting heavy there's little in the form of a moral code when it comes to the comedian
06:16as evidenced by a horrific assault perpetrated upon his former minute man colleague the original silk
06:22spectra the comedian essentially reaped what he sold however falling to his death after being pushed
06:27out of a window by adrian veit aka ozymandias
06:30number four the punisher here is justice here is punishment
06:50how far should superheroes go in their battles against crime frank castle aka the punisher feels
07:00the need to go all the way each and every time this bullet riddled legacy has essentially followed
07:06castle everywhere he's gone since first debuting back in 1974. this was a decade where cities like
07:12new york struggle with crime rates that were out of control and many normal citizens cried out for a
07:16man like the punisher to take the streets back
07:18i still hear my little boy i see him
07:22and i hear his voice
07:26he says get him daddy
07:30if the last single one of them get him
07:33that's why i do what i do
07:36today however castle's merciless methods have been the subject of criticism
07:40counterpoints that were laid out brilliantly in 2025's daredevil born again
07:45our afro mentioned question still stands what do you think of the means to which the punisher achieves his gains
07:51in certain extreme situations the law is inadequate
07:56in order to shame its inadequacy it is necessary to act outside the law
08:03to pursue natural justice
08:08there have been many different peacemakers with many different origins across dc's convoluted canon
08:20however the peacemaker we know best is christopher smith who actually started out his life as a pacifist
08:26he was a superhero who utilized non-lethal methods against villainous forces of evil
08:31now his portrayal in the dc extended universe sees a peacemaker that's more in line with the character's story
08:36after the comic storyline crisis on infinite earths what are we gonna do about him
08:41hey no no no john cena's portrayal of peacemaker is jingoistic sadistic and delusional in his
08:49continued fight for peace cena's christopher smith is misguided ultra violent and close-minded
08:54although we'd be lying if we didn't admit that he's also hilarious i've never killed a man before
09:00oh you still haven't these martial artists they are hardcore their heart stops beating they just
09:08concentrate and move a kidney up into its place when the kidney circulates the blood through the
09:12system no that's not something that happens only the greats just a few times no this never happened
09:17number two omni man
09:19the behavior of omni man from the invincible franchise admittedly makes him a tough sell as a superhero
09:34this insanely powerful extraterrestrial initially intended to conquer earth a plan that included
09:39omni man's brutal murders of the guardians of the globe omni man may have eventually come back to
09:44his heroic senses but this troubled and deeply flawed comic character's actions still make it
09:49difficult to reconcile since he's shed so much blood over the years my turn
09:55this character's shifting moral compass and motivations may make omni man interesting to follow
10:04but they make him hard to root for as well i need to save them

10:38number one homelander you're not the real heroes
10:44i'm the real hero he's a superhero in name only a complete maniac who keeps up a thin veneer in front
10:51of a rotten horde center homelander is the best sort of antagonist because he's easy to hate but also
10:57interesting enough to follow as a character go have a smoke or something okay i got this oh and uh
11:05you guys you are the real heroes this leader of the seven is technically a superhero in as much as
11:13it's homelander's job title and public front but he rarely acts with any sort of moral compass behind
11:18the scenes his constant desire for validation and approval feeds into his narcissistic personality
11:24homelander doesn't do good things because he enjoys doing them but rather as a means to acquire
11:28the public adoration he so desperately craves
11:45what to you is the most interesting aspect of a flawed hero let us know in the comments down below
11:51you broke my glass i'm sorry take my raven
