00:07The document looked completely legitimate, filled with stamps from all over Europe and Asia,

00:12and he spoke multiple languages with confidence. You see, he claimed his homeland had existed for

00:18over a thousand years and seemed confused when the officers didn't recognize it.

00:23When they asked him to point it out on a map, he placed his finger between France and Spain,

00:28right where the country of Andorra sits, but insisted that wasn't right. He said the land

00:33was called Taurat and he had been there many times. The authorities detained him in a hotel

00:38under guard while they investigated, but by morning the man was gone. The room was locked

00:43from the outside. His passport, briefcase, and every trace of him had disappeared.

00:49Airport security had no footage of him leaving, and no one ever came forward to identify him.

00:55The name Taurat never matched any country, and to this day no one knows who he was,

01:00or where he actually came from.
