Shots were fired outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly early Friday morning. The Goldy Brar gang has claimed responsibility, linking the attack to alleged remarks on spiritual leaders Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.

00:18According to police, the incident took place around 4.30am when unidentified men on a motorcycle

00:24opened fire near the residence.

00:25At least seven rounds were fired, including two aerial shots.

00:29The gang also put out a threatening social media post written in Hindi.

00:32They named two men, Virendra Charan and Mahindra Saran, and warned the film industry.

00:37The message said, This was just a trailer.

00:39Anyone insulting our religion and demeaning the Sanatana dhamma will not be spared.

00:43Police say the assailants had conducted a recue of Disha Patni's house before carrying

00:46out the attack.

00:47They reportedly entered Bareilly via the Delhi-Lakhnau Highway, opened fire and escaped within minutes.

00:52The attack comes months after Disha's sister Khushbu Patni faced backlash in July 2025 for

00:57allegedly derogatory remarks against Anirudhacharya Maharaj, which were at first mistakenly linked
