00:00A.K.A. Charlie Sheen, the documentary that is now streaming on Netflix.
00:05Have you seen it yet?
00:06I have not seen it.
00:06I have not. It's two parts. Is it two or three parts?
00:10Two parts.
00:11I have not seen it yet, but I have heard that it is really astounding
00:15how much he reveals about everything that he's gone through.
00:21I mean, we saw a lot. We covered a lot.
00:23We were with him, seeing all the craziness.
00:27But there's so much more that apparently we don't know.
00:30And even, obviously, the public doesn't know, but even his family.
00:34You know that Charlie has been estranged from his daughter, Sammy.
00:39They had a very public blowout when she joined OnlyFans.
00:43He disagreed with that.
00:45But apparently she did watch the documentary.
00:47And it was extremely emotional over what she saw.
00:51She did not know that Charlie Sheen said in this documentary
00:58that Sammy is the reason he got sober.
01:01His daughters were the reason.
01:02His daughters.
01:02His daughters were the reason that he got sober, which I find fascinating
01:05because his daughter, Lola, was in the documentary
01:07and talked about how hard it was for her to have a relationship with him
01:11when he wasn't sober, but how grateful she is now.
01:14So I find it weird that Sammy is just now finding out that she was the reason
01:19that he got sober watching the documentary,
01:22that they didn't have a conversation ever before,
01:24that he's never reached out to her.
01:25Because she posted in April that they haven't talked in a year.
01:28So it's like, I wonder...
01:30Before the estrangement, how it did not come up.
01:33Yeah, it's like, did she not really believe that that was the reason?
01:36And then she watched this documentary and saw the pain
01:38and actually heard it and it hit?
01:39There was a lot of contentiousness over OnlyFans.
01:44Yes.
01:44That was a big deal.
01:45That was a big deal.
01:47Well, yeah, he was like, I can't believe she's doing it.
01:48But then he kind of came around her when he saw how much money she was making.
01:52And then Denise got on it.
01:53But I'm hoping that this documentary can heal their relationship.
01:57It's sad that they're...
01:58That he can come back together.
01:59Yes, because it's her dad.
02:00It's her dad.
02:01Like, you want them to be able to talk and have a loving relationship.
02:04So hopefully this helps.
02:05Yeah.
02:06I mean, this...
02:06It's really...
02:07I sat down with Charlie.
02:11Gosh, this must have been going on two years ago.
02:13Right when they were starting this documentary.
02:16Spent a couple hours with him.
02:17And he was, two years ago, just a different person
02:21from the person we covered for so many years.
02:23I mean, he was sober.
02:24And even at that point, he was lucid.
02:26About six years into sobriety.
02:27Right.
02:27But he was on his game.
02:30He was on his game.
02:31Gabriel in Maryland.
02:32And I think that it's easy for folks to forget
02:35that our parents are just adults trying to figure it out
02:39just like we are.
02:40Right.
02:41And it's so great to see, like, so much public support
02:44coming in for Sammy,
02:46which also shows that there's a lot of other people
02:48that are dealing with similarities with their parents.
02:50So glad that they have this opportunity
02:52to hopefully move forward
02:53because a lot of people don't get that opportunity.
02:56It's true.
02:56Yeah.
02:56It's true.
02:57And if a documentary does it, so be it.
02:59I'll see you next time.
03:01Bye.
03:01Bye.
03:02Bye.
03:02Bye.
