00:00In this video we are going to discuss that how to convert a fraction into
00:05decimal form so we have a very simple question simple fraction that is 3 upon
00:094 and we have to convert it into decimal form so first of all we have to divide
00:14it so first our above number that is called numerator we have to put this
00:20number inside the box as dividend and we have to write the lower number that is
00:264 this is called denominator this is outside of the box so here we have to
00:32check that how many times 4 goes into 3 so we can see that 4 times 1 is 4 that is
00:39greater than 3 that is not possible so we go back we see that 4 times 0 is 0 so we
00:46have write 4 times 0 and 4 times 0 is 0 so we have to subtract it after
00:53subtraction we have 3 again we have 3 here and 4 does not fit into 3 so we have
00:59to check here decimal point here we have decimal point and after the decimal
01:03point we have many zeros we can put many zeros so we can bring down 1 0 in this
01:09step and you know that when we bring down this 0 we have to put decimal point
01:14above in the quotient so now you can carry on now you can see that 4 times 7 is 28
01:20so we can put here 4 times 7 is 28 and after subtraction we can get here 2 and
01:26again we have to bring down this to 0 so we have 20 so we can write that 4 times 5
01:32is 20 so our final answer is 0.75 that is decimal form of this fraction so we can
01:40write finally that 3 or 4 in fraction form is equal to 0.75 or only 0.75
