00:00Welcome to the first Sunday of NFL football.
00:04And I don't know about you guys, but I've been waiting forever for this moment.
00:07Are you ready? I'm going to have all the live updates for you right here.
00:10So we're going to start off by looking at our first three games, which will all be kicking off at 1 o'clock.
00:15We're going to start with the Cincinnati Bengals, traveling to Cleveland to take on the Browns.
00:19This is always a big matchup in an AFC North rivalry.
00:23We also have the Las Vegas Raiders taking on the New England Patriots, and then the Pittsburgh Steelers.
00:28Their new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, making his debut in New York against the Jets.
00:33I mean, what could be a better slate than that?
00:36But we're going to start off with the Bengals and Browns and the Raiders and Patriots.
00:40And if you haven't had a chance to check out Yahoo Fantasy Football, now's the time because we are in full swing.
00:46Now, let's see what is happening in these games.
00:49It looks like both of these games are very low scoring.
00:53And you know what? This is exactly what I expected.
00:55You've got the Browns and the Bengals. It's two teams that really think they can make a run at the Super Bowl.
01:00So I knew defense was going to play a big role here.
01:03This has kind of, you know, turned into a slugfest early on.
01:07Nick Chubb finds the end zone.
01:08It is 7-3 Browns heading into halftime.
01:12Joe Burrow has struggled so far, throwing for just 84 yards on 6 of 14 passing.
01:17The Bengals have really struggled in the red zone.
01:19They've turned the ball over on downs twice inside the Browns' 5-yard line.
01:25Deshaun Watson on the other side hasn't been that much better.
01:28He's thrown for 121 yards on 12-19 passing.
01:31Not a lot of movement at all on this one.
01:34Meanwhile, over in Foxborough, Mack Jones was having a pretty good day.
01:38He was hitting his receivers in stride, and the Patriots looked poised to pull away late.
01:43They led 13-3 in the fourth quarter.
01:46But Josh Jacobs busted a big run, and the Raiders were able to move the ball down the field and kick a couple field goals.
01:52And they ended up winning this one 20-13.
01:55Alright, so our next game will be the one everyone's waiting for.
01:58Can Aaron Rodgers lead the Steelers to victory in his debut?
02:01They're going up against the New York Jets and their quarterback.
02:04Many people thought would be the no.
02:06One pick in this year's draft, Zach Wilson.
02:09Let's see what happens here.
02:11So we're in the third quarter now.
02:13The score is tied at 17, and Justin Fields just found Garrett Wilson on a crossing route.
02:19This guy just finds him on a wheel route, and he's gone.
02:21It is 24-17 Jets as the fourth quarter gets underway.
02:25Both of these guys have played well.
02:27Justin Fields has thrown for 180 yards and a touchdown.
02:31Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 173 yards and two touchdowns.
02:35The Jets' defense has played a great game so far, but they can't seem to stop George Pickens.
02:40He's had a huge day.
02:41He's got six catches for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
02:45If the Jets want to win this game, they need to step it up.
02:49The Jets do get a field goal, and they push their lead to 27-17.
02:54But the Steelers answer back with a Pat Fryer-Muth touchdown.
02:58The Jets are pinned deep in their own territory, and they're forced to punt.
03:03Now, this is where this game gets crazy.
03:06Aaron Rodgers takes the snap, rolls to his right, and launches one deep down the field.
03:10George Pickens is falling out of bounds, but he reaches back and grabs it.
03:15It's 31-27.
03:17Steelers with under 10 minutes remaining.
03:20Now, the Jets answer back with a big drive of their own.
03:23They move the ball down the field, and they punch it in.
03:26This one, though, is called back because of an illegal block in the back.
03:31Do you see it?
03:32Do you see it?
03:33Yep.
03:33There's a little bit of contact on the back end, but there's no way this guy's blocking him.
03:38Back.
03:38I don't even know why they reviewed it.
03:40It was obviously not a block in the back.
03:42But that's kind of one of those ticky-tack calls you do.
03:45You'd want to see in a big spot like this.
03:47They re-gone-nah.
03:48Come back, and they re-gone-nah.
03:50Kick the field goal, and they re-gone-nah.
03:53Take a 32-27 lead.
03:55Now, the Steelers have the ball back with just under 6 minutes to go.
03:59They drive the ball down the field, and Chris Boswell kicks a 60-yard field goal,
04:04the longest of his career.
04:06We re-tied at 32 as the Jets get the ball back with just under 4 minutes to go.
04:10This is now the drive that will likely win this game.
04:14They get a first down, and they're moving the ball.
04:17They hit a couple of big passes, and they're moving the chains,
04:20picking up big chunks of yards.
04:22There's a little over 2 minutes left, and they're at the Pittsburgh 45-yard line.
04:26Brees Hall breaks a tackle, and he's gone.
04:28Touchdown, Jets.
04:30It is 39-32 with just under 2 minutes to go.
04:34Now, the Steelers have the ball back.
04:37They start driving the ball down the field.
04:39Aaron Rodgers is trying to make some magic happen here,
04:41but they turn the ball over on downs with just under a minute to go.
04:46The Jets are able to run the clock out, and they win 39-32.
04:50So the Steelers, even though they lose this game,
04:53I thought Aaron Rodgers played really well.
04:55He threw for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns.
04:58He did throw an interception.
05:00Did lose a fumble.
05:01He did get sacked twice.
05:03So I guess that's the price you pay for being 41 years old.
05:06But man, it was exciting to see him in that uniform, the black and gold.
05:11Let's look at the rest of the games on the early slate.
05:15Down in Miami, the Colts have absolutely embarrassed the Dolphins.
05:19It was 26-8 midway through the fourth quarter.
05:22It was 29-8.
05:24The Dolphins actually scored a touchdown late, but it was way too little, way too late.
05:28Anthony Richardson played well, 214 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Colts.
05:34The Dolphins only mustered up 114 passing yards.
05:38Tua Tagovalloa threw for a touchdown, but he also threw 2 interceptions.
05:43He also lost a fumble.
05:44That's the type of game the Dolphins had.
05:46Back in Washington, Sam Howell and the Commanders were able to take care of the Giants 21-6.
05:54Darren Payne was a monster for the Commanders, racking up two sacks and two forced fumbles.
06:01The Commanders' defense gave Saquon Barkley fits all throughout this one.
06:05In Atlanta, it was a shootout, but the Buccaneers were able to edge out the Falcons 23-20.
06:10Baker Mayfield threw for 316 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw 2 interceptions.
06:17Desmond Ritter was even worse for the Falcons.
06:19He threw for 278 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
