00:00We're getting some breaking news from Jammu and Kashmir.
00:02Anti-terror encounter in Kulgaam Forest, Jammu and Kashmir Cops, CRPF, Army in joint anti-terror hunt.
00:10Officer and a jawaan injured in the exchange of fire.
00:13One soldier sustains critical injuries.
00:16That's the latest that's coming in from Jammu and Kashmir where an anti-terror encounter in Kulgaam Forest is underway.
00:22My colleague Meir Fareed is now joining us with more details on this.
00:26Meir, over to you.
00:27Yes, Anjali.
00:30This, again, was a cordon search operation based on a timely intel input about the presence of a Lashkar group.
00:37Now, this is Gadura or Guder forest area of South Kashmir's Kulgaam district.
00:43And early this morning, the cordon was late.
00:45Joint search parties started the operation.
00:48And as soon as they reached a particular point in the forest area, they were greeted with gunfire.
00:53This Lashkar group, heavily armed, was in ambush.
00:56And in the first burst of gunfire, we've come to the promise that three soldiers have been injured.
01:04One of them is said to be an officer, while one is said to be very critical.
01:10They have been shifted to the hospital.
01:12More troops have been mobilized.
01:13An effort is on to corner them and end their resistance.
01:16Now, we know, again, it's a forest area.
01:19And of late, this theater of militancy has shifted from urban to the jungles.
01:25And that's become tricky for the security forces because these operations are difficult.
01:29Visibility is low.
01:31Weather is bad.
01:32And then these militants have ample opportunity to take cover in the forest area.
01:37So, seems to be one more of those challenging gunfire situations.
01:41But security forces are on it.
01:42And at least three are said to be in the forest area.
01:46And they're trying to corner them and basically pin them to a location and end their resistance.
01:51Anjali.
01:51All right, Amir.
01:52Thank you for those details.
01:54We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on this anti-terror encounter in Kulga.
01:59With that, we're now shifting focus.
02:32After political war, meanwhile, actress Trisha has wished Vijay good luck, saying that may Vijay's dreams come true.
02:38So, actor Trisha has wished TVK chief and superstar Vijay good luck.
02:52Trisha has said that may Vijay's dreams come true and that Vijay deserves his dreams coming true.
02:59Now, remember, TVK chief is now in the political arena.
03:05Now, Vijay is now logged in Tamil Nadu political war.
03:12Actress Trisha has wished Vijay good luck, saying that may Vijay's all the wishes come true.
03:18And now the fans can't keep calm as the actress has wished TVK chief and superstar Vijay good luck, saying that he deserves that all his dreams come true.
03:30Remember, Vijay, the superstar Vijay, has now entered the political arena.
03:34He's the TVK chief and meanwhile, the Kulga is now wishing him good luck and Vijay is already locked in the Tamil Nadu political war and wishes poor for Vijay from his colleagues in Kulga.
03:51Actress Trisha has wished him good luck, saying that may Vijay good luck, saying that may Vijay's dreams come true as he deserves all his dreams to come true.
04:08So, wishes pouring in for the TVK chief and superstar Vijay from his Kulga.
04:15And he is logged in the Tamil Nadu political war and now wishes pouring in for the superstar.
04:45Vijay from Kulga.
04:46And we're now getting some more breaking news.
04:57Aam Admi Party targets Rahul Gandhi's foreign trip.
05:00Aam Admi Party says Punjab fights flood, meanwhile Rahul is abroad.
05:05Aam Admi Party points to Rahul Gandhi's Malaysia trip.
05:08Flood politics escalates in Punjab.
05:11So, scathing attack by the Aam Admi Party against Rahul Gandhi's foreign visit.
05:17The Aam Admi Party says that as Punjab fights flood, Rahul Gandhi is abroad.
05:22Aam Admi Party is pointing to Rahul Gandhi's Malaysia trip.
05:26And clearly, the flood politics is escalating in Punjab with the Aam Admi Party now attacking Rahul Gandhi for his Malaysia trip,
05:34saying that while Punjab fights flood, Rahul Gandhi is busy on his abroad trip.
05:41So, Punjab flood politics escalates.
05:49It is the Aam Admi Party versus Rahul Gandhi this time.
05:52Aam Admi Party has targeted Rahul Gandhi for his Malaysia trip,
05:56saying that as Punjab fights flood, the deadly floods,
06:00there is a devastation and destruction all over the state of Punjab.
06:05Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is busy on his Malaysia trip.
06:12And my colleague Aman Bhadwa just now joining us on the story.
06:16Aman, as Punjab is battling floods, the politics over floods is also raging with the Aam Admi Party now attacking Rahul Gandhi for his Malaysia trip.
06:25Exactly, Anjali, because here the Punjab is fighting with floods and here the Congress leadership is there.
06:33They were promising people that their senior leaders from the Gandhi family or Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Punjab.
06:39They'll talk to people, they'll visit farm fairs.
06:42But no one came.
06:43Even Rahul Gandhi's schedule, which was once to be finalized, was not even finalized.
06:48And in that case, Aam Admi Party is targeting, because BJP has also tweeted a few days back,
06:55the tweet by Amit Malviya was also there, on the same that foreign trips are there,
07:02where the Punjab, not even Punjab, even Himachal, where the Congress government is there.
07:07So Rahul Gandhi should be visiting those places where Congress is running a government.
07:11They should meet people because Congress has been voted in the area.
07:14And here also, before Aam Admi Party, Congress was ruling the state.
07:18So where is Rahul Gandhi?
07:20That is a big quotient by the political class.
07:23And Aam Admi Party, though is in government, they are themselves raising quotient.
07:28And that too, to the people who were in India alliance with them.
07:32And this, because before 2027, this is going to give a mileage to the political parties as well.
07:40Because there are elections in Bihar and in coming years, there will be election in Punjab as well.
07:47So this amplifies the political motives also for the different parties.
07:55But yes, it was expected that Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party is there in Himachal,
08:02is ruling Himachal Pradesh as well.
08:05And before Aam Admi Party here in Punjab as well, Congress holds a strong hold here in Punjab.
08:13So Rahul Gandhi was expected to visit here, but the visit has been not made yet.
08:18And Prime Minister even will be coming.
08:20All right, Amman, thank you for those details.
08:23So politics clearly raging on Punjab floods with the Aam Admi Party asking the Congress party,
08:28where is Rahul Gandhi pointing at his Malaysia trip?
08:31Now, 10 days after floods devastated parts of Punjab,
08:34several families are still living by the roadside, trapped between survival and silence.
08:39With cattle they can't leave and homes they can't return to.
08:42They rely entirely on volunteers while the wait for government help drags on.
08:47We tell you more in our ground report by my colleague Amman Bhardwaj.
08:50Take a look.
08:51We are not in a village or somewhere you could see through the visuals,
08:56but this is a national highway and we'll try to show you how the life of people are being affected
09:01and people with their kettles and all their belongings are living on a national highway.
09:06This is a Ferozpur-Husainiwala national highway where people are dependent on the aid,
09:12help they are getting.
09:13Everyone who passes through and donates or do a seva, they're trying to safeguard themselves.
09:20We are running on national highway.
09:26Why are you running on the road?
09:27We are running on the highway.
09:29We are running on the highway.
09:30How many days?
09:31We have to keep staying.
09:33How many days after a while?
09:34We run for 2 or 4 weeks.
09:36When we continue after the water, we have to bend it.
09:39You are doing things like this.
09:41What is the government?
09:42We don't particularly believe that we are not in front of the wind.
09:47If we are in front of the wind and then we will get into the wind.
09:50you see in this all shelter they are living they are trying to save their life and this
10:08now that they got a tea in langar and they which each and everything they are getting they try to
10:16say that they are trying to live on that they are dependent on that and next to it on the road
10:22there's a jungle but this condition is in Firozpur where the headquarter the DC office or the
10:31administration would hardly be on 8 to 10 kilometers
10:34.
10:41.
10:46.
10:51all the demand is a compensation till now but administration or the government should take
11:13a call on it and see the concern they are raising with video journalist Aman Gupta
11:18this is Aman Bhadwaj for India today Ferozpur

12:03on a two-day tour in the flood affected areas and now this video of him being carried on the
12:10shoulders by the locals is going viral my colleague Rohit Singh is now joining us with more details on
12:15this Rohit a controversy has now erupted over this video of Tariq Anwar going viral on social media
12:20in which he can be seen carrying on the shoulders by the locals over there so on one hand he is
12:26visiting the flood affected areas but on the other hand he himself is seen being carried on the shoulders
12:32by the locals well that is the question being asked that yes Kathihar MP the Congress MP here in this case
12:41Tariq Anwar is visiting the flood affected region in his constituency but the pictures now that have
12:49come out of the two-day visit to the flood affected areas in Kathihar have no has not gone down well
12:57either with Tariq Anwar and also for the Congress party it has come as a major major embarrassment
13:02because the video clearly in the video we are seeing that Tariq Anwar it appears that he may be
13:10reluctant to walk in the flood affected areas and for what reason he has done that that is not known
13:16till now but what the pictures have gone viral the video has gone viral is where he's seen being carried
13:22on the shoulder by two locals there even a cop in this case is seen helping the 74 year old MP in
13:31this case so the video has gone viral on social media and does not all the well for Tariq Anwar and
13:36has also come as a major embarrassment for the Congress party back to you thank you so much for
13:43those details so a big embarrassment for the Congress party as Congress MP Tariq Anwar is being seen
13:49carrying on the shoulders by the locals in flood affected areas in Kathihar

14:25fleeing apple orchard Jammu and Kashmir cops CRPF army in joint anti-terror hunt an officer and a jawan
14:33have also been injured in the exchange of fire in fact one soldier has sustained critical injuries but
14:39the big update that is coming in is that one terrorist has been shot dead in the Kulgam encounter three
14:46terrorists were said to be trapped in the forest and uh one out of those three has been shot dead in the
14:54encounter my colleague me Farid is now joining us with more details on this me we're learning that

17:24Thank you very much.
17:54Thank you very much.
18:24Thank you very much.
18:54And we have some more breaking news coming in.
18:55Ukraine backs Donald Trump tariff on India.
18:59Zelensky says right idea to penalize India.
19:03Ukraine says that penalize nations dealing with Russia.
19:07So, Zelensky's big remark to US TV network saying and in fact backing Donald Trump's tariff on India.
19:14Remember, US has imposed 50% tariffs on India, which now Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has backed.
19:22He has said that it's a right idea to penalize India.
19:25In fact, he goes on to say that penalize nations dealing with Russia.
19:30So, that's the big remark coming to the fore by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the Trump tariffs on India.
19:37So, 50% tariffs on India have been imposed by Donald Trump, which has now been backed by Ukrainian President Zelensky.
19:46So, amid the Russia-Ukraine war.
19:48Remember, just a week ago, before the SEO summit, Prime Minister Modi also had talks with the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
19:57And Prime Minister Modi called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
20:02But, the war still continues.
20:04But, amid all of this, the Ukraine has now backed Donald Trump's tariff on India, saying that it is a right idea to penalize India.
20:13India Today Global's Pranayopadhyay is now joining us with more details on this front.
20:17A big remark by the Ukrainian President now backing the Trump tariffs, the 50% tariffs imposed by the United States on India,
20:25saying that it is a right idea to penalize India as it deals with Russia.
20:29It is, this is not for the first time that the Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky has, you know, endorsed the idea of putting pressure on countries like India,
20:39those who are buying Russian oil.
20:41And, in fact, this entire noise that India or the oil purchases or countries, those who are dealing with Russia,
20:49is actually helping Vladimir Putin, is being generated by President Zelensky and many others in the European bloc.
20:57But, definitely, while he was there on a television show, he endorsed the idea of President Donald Trump.
21:04And, he has no other option but to endorse this idea because he is being supported by President Donald Trump and the European Union.
21:12But, on the other side, you know, the question remains that what is he saying as far as the European oil purchase
21:22and the European gas purchase from the Russia is concerned and many other countries, including China, are also buying a huge amount as compared to India, the Russian oil.
21:33So, this remains a very, you know, a very confused or a convoluted thing because President Zelensky, on one side, he is looking at a solution,
21:42he is looking for a ceasefire, but on the other side, many other countries, including many of his allies and partners in Europe,
21:50are buying a big amount of LNG, you know, which is the gas from Russia.
21:55And, the European oil gas purchase is much more in number, much more in volume, much more in monetary terms,
22:03as compared to the Indian oil purchase from Russia.
22:06So, definitely, this remains an issue.
22:10However, on the other side, the U.S. President Donald Trump will be holding meetings with the European leaders
22:15to go ahead with the secondary phase of sanctions.
22:18So, definitely, we have to see that, you know, what comes from Washington, D.C. on those meetings.
22:24Right. Pranay, thank you so much for all those details and for that context.
22:27So, as negotiations are underway to resolve the war in Europe, Russia has hit Ukraine with the largest air attack since the war began.
22:40Russian forces launched 810 drones and 13 missiles in an overnight attack,
22:45killing at least three people across the country and setting dozens of buildings on fire.
22:50After the attack, U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed that the war was more difficult to resolve
22:55than he anticipated and asserted that he was ready to impose secondary sanctions on Russia.
23:01Zelensky called on allies for support after Russia launched a huge drone and missile barrage.
23:06Zelensky called for a broad response from Ukraine's European allies,
23:10adding that Putin does not want negotiations.
23:13Zelensky called for the second phase of sanctions against Russia or punishing Putin.
23:19It's important that today there is a wide reaction of partners on this attack.
23:27Of course, Russia tries to challenge the pain of Ukraine and attacks more quickly.
23:33It's a clear sign, that Putin is trying to take the world whether they take it or die.
23:39So it is important to decide leaders, leaders, societies and institutions are continuing hard to carry on
24:08So the deficit of gasoline in Russia and other economic issues is a logical answer to the Russian invitation to stop the fire.
24:18To meet leaders.
