00:00So I'm really excited to get JBL's take on this tonight, Coria.
00:06The Baron Corbin situation.
00:08Many people were upset when Kurt Angle tapped Corbin to have his final match at WrestleMania.
00:14Yeah, look, I think it's a great choice.
00:15I think Baron Corbin is a future world champion.
00:17He's got everything you possibly need in a champion.
00:20It's just a matter of his young man to put it together.
00:22And a win tonight against Kurt Angle in his last match.
00:26You talk about a notch on your belt.
00:27Well, obviously, Baron Corbin has spent enough time under the skin and in the mind of Kurt Angle
00:32that Kurt felt it appropriate to challenge Baron Corbin in his final match.
00:37This was Kurt Angle's choice, not Baron Corbin's.
00:40But Baron Corbin will gladly accept the opportunity to ruin Kurt's last night on the grandest stage of them all.
00:48And his opponents competing in his final match
00:53after a 20-year Hall of Fame career,
00:58the only Olympic gold medalist in WWE history,
01:05Kurt Angle!
01:08Brandon Corbin!
01:16What!
01:20Oh!
01:21Like, what?
01:22You.
01:24Oh!
01:26Oh!
01:27Oh!
01:30Oh!
01:33Oh!
01:34Oh!
01:34Oh!
01:35Oh!
01:35Oh!
01:36So for the final time as an in-ring competitor, Kurt Angle is serenaded by the chance of you suck as he makes his way to the ring.
01:57John, you've had an illustrious career and much of that career is spent in the ring with Kurt Angle. I go back to 2005 at the Royal Rumble when you and Angle and the Big Show were involved in a matchup. Are you also in a last man standing match with this man? What an incredible athlete you've ever been in the ring with.
02:17I've been in with some incredible athletes. Kurt Angle, to me, there's a reason that only four people in amateur wrestling history have done the Amateur Grand Slam, the Junior Nationals, NCAAs, the World Championship, and the gold medal.
02:30And one of the greatest performers WWE has ever seen.
02:36Kurt Angle performs at his highest level when the pressure is highest. Tonight, couldn't get any higher.
02:44I talked to Baron Corbin earlier today. He said he fully expects Kurt Angle to be a step quicker than he's been recently. A little more intense. The Kurt Angle of old.
02:57And Kurt Angle with the right hand will drive Baron Corbin back and Angle looking to get out of the box quickly and perhaps put this match away quickly against Corbin.
03:05John, you had to call it a career. Look at this. Belly throw by Angle. A step of the hips. Perfect suplex by Kurt Angle.
03:13Jason Point. Kurt Angle still has the power.
03:17A rake of the eyes by Corbin as the official was trying to separate the two men.
03:22Here we see some of the athleticism of Wrestlemania's favorite son, Baron Corbin.
03:29Big right hand slows down the Olympic gold medalist.
03:33Kurt Angle bounced off the top rope.
03:36And now Baron Corbin...
03:37That's your gold medalist right there!
03:39...in control, hoping to embarrass and humiliate him.
03:42That's your gold medalist!
03:44Here tonight at Wrestlemania.
03:46John, you and I have had this conversation many times.
03:49You knew at the point that you had to hang it up that it was time to retire.
03:53Kurt Angle at that point in his career.
03:55Kurt's at the same exact point that I was at.
03:58I've talked to Kurt about it this morning when I talked to him over lunch.
04:01He said the same thing.
04:02He can't do it anymore.
04:04But like Ted Williams, he didn't bat 400 his last season.
04:07But he went out with a home run his last at bat.
04:09And that's what Kurt Angle wants to do tonight.
04:13And Baron Corbin hoping to end that dream.
04:15Here at Wrestlemania.
04:18The scowl on the face of a man who's made Angle's life miserable.
04:22The better part of the last year.
04:24There's all this talk about the storybook ending.
04:27The beautiful button on the career for Kurt Angle.
04:29A big win at Wrestlemania.
04:31Think of what this would do for Baron Corbin.
04:33Think of what is driving Baron Corbin right now.
04:36To say that he is the man.
04:38He is the man that beat Kurt Angle in Kurt's final match of his Hall of Fame career.
04:43That would do great things and propel Corbin to whole new heights.
04:47Corbin mocking Angle's family who is here tonight.
04:50Kurt though moves out of the way.
04:52Corbin hung up top rope.
04:53And there is the German suplex.
04:56Hands remain clasped.
04:58Will deliver a second one to Baron Corbin.
05:00We're seeing some of the pit bull that Baron Corbin expected out of Kurt Angle.
05:04And a third by Angle.
05:06Cover.
05:06Is it enough to win his final match here at Wrestlemania?
05:09Winning a kick out by Corbin.
05:12You felt those German suplexes plenty of times, JBI.
05:15I still feel him.
05:16Uh-oh.
05:17Angle slam on the way.
05:18No.
05:18Corbin lands in his feet.
05:20What a big boot.
05:21Right to the face of Kurt Angle.
05:27I talked to Adam Durrell, who was Baron's old college coach.
05:30One of the best college coaches in the country.
05:32Told me that Baron Corbin, out of all the people he coached,
05:34had the biggest mean streak he had ever seen.
05:37And that's what you're seeing with this guy.
05:39I think Baron Corbin has all the talent in the world.
05:41And what a great chance for him tonight.
05:44And look at this.
05:45Kurt rolls through.
05:45Oh!
05:46The ankle lock.
05:47Ankle lock center of the ring.
05:48Will Corbin tap out to Kurt Angle?
05:51And powers out of it.
05:55Corbin misses wildly.
05:57Uh-oh.
05:57Oh!
05:58Good night, Kurt.
05:59Deep six.
06:01For the win.
06:02Over Kurt Angle.
06:03Oh!
06:04And a kick out by Kurt at two.
06:05Your point about Baron's mean streak, John.
06:07I mean, Corbin would be the first to tell you.
06:09He's got a big ego.
06:10He's proud of what he's capable of.
06:12He knows how dangerous he is,
06:15which is why tonight means so much to Baron.
06:18One, two, three, four.
06:18That deep six, so dangerous.
06:20Kurt Angle able to survive.
06:24Angle looking to regroup.
06:26Moves out of the way.
06:27Now look at the angle.
06:28Slot in.
06:29Got him.
06:29On Corbin.
06:30Got him.
06:31For the win.
06:32The gold medalist going out a winner.
06:34Oh, and Corbin powered out.
06:39You have to wonder if that was Kurt Angle's last gasp in this match.
06:44Straps are down.
06:47Kurt might be running on fumes,
06:49but there's still something left in the tank.
06:51The ankle lock is applied in the middle of the ring.
06:55Can Corbin hold on?
06:57Is Corbin going to tap out to Kurt Angle?
06:59Imagine how embarrassing and humiliating this would be for Baron Corbin
07:04after all the trash he's talked over the last number of weeks.
07:08Kurt could tap out to an Olympic gold medalist.
07:10That's not exactly humiliating.
07:12I mean, but I think that's not how Corbin wants to go out.
07:15Not just an Olympic gold medalist, Corey.
07:18Someone who Baron Corbin said was over the hill.
07:21They couldn't get it done anymore in the ring.
07:23That he should have retired 10 years ago.
07:26And Angle, oh, face first off the middle turnbuckle.
07:29Kurt lost his balance there.
07:31It's obvious.
07:32Baron didn't necessarily mean all those things about Kurt being over the hill.
07:35Just mind games.
07:38Baron knows what a dangerous competitor Kurt is.
07:42Baron just knows that he's a little better these days.
07:45That's all.
07:46Hey, Kurt.
07:47You can't see me.
07:49Now mocking Cena, who we saw earlier tonight.
07:52Wow.
07:53What a shot.
07:54What a shot.
07:55Baron Corbin was, uh-oh.
07:57Oh, and a German suplex.
07:58Blocking the WWE Universe, many of whom wanted John Cena to have Kurt Angle's final match.
08:03Indeed, off the second German suplex by Angle.
08:07Corbin makes it back to his feet.
08:08The third delivered by Kurt.
08:11Corbin in a bad way right now.
08:17The WWE Universe on its feet.
08:24A show of respect for Kurt Angle.
08:27One of the all-time greats.
08:29A Hall of Famer.
08:32We've seen this before.
08:34I don't know how long it's been since Kurt's done this.
08:37Does he have one left?
08:38Kurt Angle!
08:39No!
08:40Nobody home!
08:43Corbin moved out of the way.
08:45Here it comes!
08:47End of days!
08:48In the end of the career of Kurt Angle!
08:52He got him!
08:56Here is your winner, Baron Corbin!
09:03Baron Corbin came to WrestleMania.
09:06He did exactly what he promised to do.
09:10He beat a WWE Hall of Famer.
09:14He beat an Olympic gold medalist.
09:17Baron Corbin just beat Kurt Angle.
09:20Well, Corey, you're over there celebrating.
09:23I'm not celebrating!
09:24Corbin beat Kurt Angle on Kurt Angle's last match.
09:27That just isn't right.
09:29Something doesn't taste good about that.
09:32Listen, Kurt Angle got a little bit carried away.
09:36Caught in the emotion of the moment.
09:37It's understandable, but Kurt Angle experienced the end of days on the grandest stage of the mark.
09:47A tremendous career, nonetheless, for Kurt Angle.
09:50Possibly the greatest combat athlete of all time.
09:532006, he was named the greatest shoot wrestler of all time by USA Wrestling.
09:58For the past 20 years, I have had the time of my life.
10:23In addition to tonight, right here in front of all of you, and I want to thank each
10:31and every one of you.
10:33With the end of this night the way that I want to, I want to hear those two words that epitomize
10:39my career.
10:40So play my music, and let's do it.
10:43Let's do it.
11:13That is a once-in-a-lifetime performer right there.
11:17They will never make another one like Kurt Angle.
11:20You know, John, back in 1998, your good friend, WWE Hall of Famer, talent scout, Gerald Briscoe,
11:26told me that that man, Kurt Angle, was campus.
11:30That he was going to be one of the greatest performers in the history of WWE.
11:3520 years later, he was right.
11:37And I'm sure this is not how Kurt Angle envisioned his final match at WrestleMania as a result.
11:43But look at the class.
11:44Look at the dignity with which Angle is handling this situation.
11:49These two words may have epitomized his career in Kurt's words, but nothing about the man,
11:54the sports entertainer, the human being, suck.
11:57Kurt Angle is the best.
12:04Well, these few suck chants, of course, in no way represent Kurt Angle's career.
12:10Kurt Angle is an all-time class act.
12:13And tonight, he takes his final bow on the greatest stage.
12:18And it's appreciation to Kurt Angle for the WWE Universe.
12:20That's why they do it, Michael.
12:22They love this gold medal.
12:24It's the six-time WWE Champion.
12:26Who doesn't?
12:28Thank you, Kurt.
12:31What a legend.
12:35What an honor it was to be out here for this.
12:38After a Hall of Fame career, Kurt Angle becomes immortal at WrestleMania.
