00:00Carter gets ejected before the game even gets going.
00:03He's out.
00:06And it turns out that three hours later, I mean, really,
00:12three full hours after the ejection of Jalen Carter in this game,
00:18we find video that Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys,
00:21had spit in Carter's direction first.
00:24He didn't hit him.
00:25He didn't hawk a full loogie.
00:27Dak to.
00:28Dak to.
00:29There you go.
00:30Yeah, there was a Dak to a moment where he spit in the direction of Carter,
00:34and then Carter said, well, if that's going to go on,
00:37well, I'm going to spit right back, but I'm going to make sure I hit you with it.
00:42Oh, he hit him.
00:43Oh, yeah.
00:43Oh, yeah.
00:45It caught Tariq off guard.
00:47Whoa.
00:48Why do you ever hear Tariq go crazy like that?
00:50Well, think about it, though.
00:50Like, you're coming out of the gate.
00:52It's kickoff night.
00:53Whatever you did, your banner, you had all the music, the songs.
00:57Everybody's all over the field.
00:58You interview the quarterback.
01:00He's fired up.
01:01He's ready to go.
01:02And the game doesn't even start yet.
01:04And Tariq is like, oh, did he spit on him?
01:08Like, throws you off, man.
01:10Like, you weren't ready for that.
01:11Nobody was ready for that.
01:13Then Big Dom walks him off.
01:14I saw too many shots of Big Dom last night.
01:18He was very present.
01:19He was a celebrity.
01:20Very present.
01:21He was a football celebrity.
01:22I think he's a little red light.
01:23Fred and Hardy were talking about this morning.
01:25I think he likes the camera.
01:27He knows what a camera is.
01:27Oh, yeah.
01:28He definitely does.
01:28Yeah.
01:29For sure.
01:29Standing behind the coach.
01:30Yeah.
01:30Game high in action.
01:32How did you feel about the game itself?
01:33I thought it was a good game.
01:34I thought Dallas came out.
01:36Way better than expected.
01:36I thought Dallas came out and went right down the field.
01:39And I thought they were ready to go.
01:40And Philly got caught sleeping.
01:41I think they had the process of losing their best defensive player.
01:45There's a reason this guy didn't go number one.
01:46He was supposed to go number one in the draft.
01:48He was that devastating when he was at Georgia.
01:50Then he had them stupid car races, drag races, and some other things.
01:56They've got to get him under control.
01:58You can't do that.
01:59You can learn it in first grade, man.
02:00Second guy always gets caught.
02:02Second guy always gets caught.
02:03Yeah, it's always the person who retaliates.
02:05And I think in football that happens a lot.
02:07In any kind of personal foul situation.
02:09That the person who retaliates is the one who ends up getting penalized.
02:12Look at the situation.
02:13It's not like you just tackled Dak Prescott.
02:15You got him on the ground.
02:17You kind of give him one down there.
02:18Yeah.
02:19You walk over to the huddle.
02:21And then go face-to-face with him while the ref's right next to you.
02:24And you put one on him.
02:26That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
02:28It really is.
02:29Ejected.
02:30I couldn't believe they ejected him.
02:31I'm like, wow, that is an ejection.
02:33Holy crap.
02:34Do you feel like there's any part of Philadelphia that's lucky
02:36to have won that game given their lack of discipline in that game?
02:40They had nearly 100 yards of penalties in the first half alone.
02:44I think they're a loose bunch to begin with.
02:46I think they are.
02:47They're not buttoned up with that coach.
02:48I'm sorry.
02:49They're just very, very uber-talented.
02:51That was my takeaway.
02:52This team is so effing talented.
02:54The fact that they won the Super Bowl with this head coach
02:56and as undisciplined as they are to dominate the way they did last year
03:00tells you how talented that roster is.
03:01They're kind of a stupid team.
03:02They're not a smart team.
03:04They don't get by on being smart and disciplined and execution.
03:09No, they're just so good that they can make up for their mistakes.
03:12They remind me a little bit of it's like the Joey Porter Steelers
03:15or the Ravens back in the day when, you know,
03:18Suggs would get all the calls, mouthing off, talk of crap.
03:23They are a high-flying bunch, though.
03:25They know they're good, and they try to walk the walk.
03:28And they got out of there with a win last night.
03:30It was good for them.
03:31Yeah, and a big part of that is, you know, a 51-yard pass to Dotson
03:36with just such a monster play in there.
03:39And then the turnover for the Cowboys that they capitalized on.
03:41I don't feel like they went out and really took it to the Cowboys.
03:45I can tell you that.
03:46And I don't think the Cowboys are a very good team.
03:48Do you feel like when you watch the game that Dak Prescott
03:50is the highest-paid player in the league?
03:52No.
03:53You don't.
03:53He's – I don't know if he'll ever get them to where they need to go,
03:59if that makes sense.
04:00I mean, we sit here and we do our quarterback rankings.
04:02We talk about it.
04:03You talked about Lamar.
04:04Maybe it's his time coming up next.
04:06Can Pro do it, you know, with a bad defense?
04:09Can Josh Allen – is this Josh Allen's year?
04:12I don't think anybody says, hey, this is Dak's year.
04:15You never hear that.
04:16He's never in a conversation.
04:17Well, it would help if C.D. Lamb could catch the football for him.
04:19It would.
04:20It would.
04:20C.D. Lamb is supposed to be one of the best receivers in the sport.
04:23He is.
04:23And he does make some great catches, but sometimes you need him to make the catch,
04:28period.
04:28And last night he had drops in critical moments that could have changed the way
04:33the game looked.
04:34So drops and a turnover?
04:37Yeah.
04:38That, to me, is a little bit lucky for Philadelphia.
04:40They should feel a little bit lucky today that they can get by just by being
04:44talented and not having to really outsmart the opponents.
04:47It sucks for them, too.
04:48It's very Patriot-like.
04:49Wait for the other team to screw it up.
04:50Dallas had a massive opportunity to get up in that division, get that big win on
04:53the road, catch them sleeping.
04:55They just traded Micah Parsons, and they let one go.
04:59They did.
05:00Dallas had a chance in that game last night.
05:02Without a doubt.
05:03Yeah, they definitely did.
05:06If I'm Brable, Dak's just not a primetime player with the clock going down.
05:09It's just a tick, tick, tick, and you're watching it.
05:12Keeping an eye on the Eagles this year.
05:13One target for A.J. Brown for a stud receiver.
05:17Getting this year a little bit.
05:18Talk about how they're not using them the right way.
05:21Maybe he should be a little unhappy.
05:22New beginnings.
05:23Get that book out.
05:24Yeah, that's right.
05:25Get the book out.
05:26Maybe he should be with a quarterback with a big arm.
05:30A team that's going to use you.
05:32A team that wants to throw the football.
05:34One target?
05:36Come on.
05:37Not enough.
05:38That's kind of what he went through last year at Spurts.
05:40Not enough.
05:40That's going to piss him off.
05:41Let's keep talking about that.
05:44Not enough for the man.
05:46A.J. Brown watch.
05:47We should have one of those.
05:48Do an A.J. Brown segment once a week.
05:52Friday.
05:53How many targets?
05:54Monday.
05:55A Monday five-minute segment on A.J. Brown.
05:58Sponsored by Nissan.
05:59Well, off of what happened in the game last night with the spitting incident and the
06:05ejection, the NFL over the summer had their referees going around and talking to different
06:12clubs like they always do and doing their meetings with the media.
06:15We saw that in Foxborough going back a few weeks.
06:18The NFL this season is emphasizing sportsmanship and they want to crack down on anything that
06:26could be violent or things that could be suggestive in nature with any sort of hand
06:33gestures, motions, whatever it might be.
06:37Rub your leg on them and flex and stuff.
06:39Can't do that.
06:41The league wants to encourage appropriate celebrations and remove any sort of inappropriate ones that
06:49they deem to be possibly like gang related or things of that nature.
06:54But they're cracking down on things that they think are, you know, too violent, violent
06:59gestures and sportsmanship in general.
07:04Does that help a violent team or a team that wants to be violent and play very aggressive?
07:10Because when you play super aggressive and you play in a, you know, you, you, you keep
07:15preaching that you want to be a violent defense as I think the Patriots do kind of preach
07:19that now, don't they?
07:20Yeah.
07:21I mean, they haven't heard the word in a while.
07:22Well, they, they, they've had to remove it from their press conferences.
07:27And when they talk, yes.
07:29Did you notice that?
07:30Because it's been removed.
07:31It's because of the league.
07:32Yeah.
07:32Right.
07:32I mean, it's out of the Patriots lexicon.
07:34Now you're not using the word violent around here anymore because the league is looking
07:38out for that.
07:38And I just wonder if that shows up for this team because the league is, I, I, I don't
07:45even know exactly what they're going to penalize.
07:47That's new.
07:47It's not like there's any new rules on the book, but if they are super tight on anything that
07:52could be unsportsmanlike, well, I think, well, the Patriots had some problems with that last
07:58year.
07:58You know, Keon White last year was taking penalties.
08:02They were all legit though.
08:04Like there, there wasn't one where I could look at it and say, oh, you gotta let that
08:07one slide there.
08:08No, I agree.
08:09I'm saying so late after the whistle.
08:11Those ones are legit.
08:12What about the ones that may have been on the, on the fringe that were not called?
08:15Are those all of a sudden penalties now?
08:16I can't think of any specific plays, but all I, all I can think last night is, oh, well,
08:22this is really a thing.
08:23Oh, they're really like cracking down on, on stuff.
08:27I think you, I think you gotta preach to them.
08:29Be happy for your teammates, but be careful with the celebration on defense.
08:33You know what I mean?
08:33You gotta, you gotta somehow bottle up the violence.
08:35This sucks, by the way.
08:36Just lower some boom hits, but you can't, you can't stand over, can't get close to him.
08:40You can't flex.
08:41You can't, you can't Brian Dawkins it, you know?
08:44It sucks for the league.
08:45You got a great league.
08:46Walt Anderson said, unsportsmanlike gestures like simulating or either shooting a gun or
08:52brandishing a gun or inappropriate gestures like a throat slash or unfortunate sexual gestures.
08:59Can't do this?
09:00What's an unfortunate sexual gesture, by the way?
09:03Right.
09:03Is that, is those like, yeah.
09:05It's a friendly sexual gesture.
09:07I mean, is that, is that too much?
09:09Is that too much thrust?
09:11You know, is there, is there a degree of hip thrust that the NFL is willing to allow?
09:16I don't know.
09:17But Walt Anderson said it's up 133%.
09:21So now it's got to be a point of emphasis because there was just too much banging out
09:25there on the field last year.
09:29According to, that's what he said.
09:30That's how he phrased it.
09:31Yes, sir.
09:31You guys are two horns up.
09:33Joking.
09:33Yeah.
09:35Yeah.
09:35I mean, the, the, the throat slash is out.
09:39I, what?
09:39I understand.
09:40What are we doing?
09:41That's, that's like cutting the neck and I understand the gun.
09:44Oh, come on.
09:45Yeah.
09:46How can you sleep at night?
09:48I like the dances.
09:49I like the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
09:52spin the ball.
09:53You're like a pirate or something.
09:54Like what?
09:55We're not doing that?
09:56We can't do the, why?
09:57It's been going on for years.
10:01What if I did what I did in Atlanta where I run to midfield, take, you can't down, take
10:04an arrow out of my backpack.
10:06No.
10:06Violent.
10:07Violent.
10:07Violent.
10:07Too violent.
10:08That thing's got to come down.
10:10So with his Yosemite Sam six shooters.
10:13Four game suspension.
10:14That's out.
10:15They'd be throwing flags on you now.
10:17Right.
10:17And so.
10:18No, that's out.
10:23Yeah.
10:26I mean.
10:28Would you find Gronkowski this year for spiking it if he was still playing?
10:32Is that too violent?
10:34You also can't do the nose wipe gesture.
10:37Why?
10:38I don't know.
10:39That's.
10:40That's how.
10:40That's running.
10:42So that.
10:42Would that be like what, what Judon did?
10:44Judon did.
10:44Yeah.
10:44So Judon can't do this anymore?
10:48That's out.
10:49Yes, sir.
10:49What are we doing?
10:51NFL.
10:52What are we doing?
10:55I just, I just wonder.
10:57I mean, I know this is going to be a very aggressive defense.
11:00I think we're looking forward to seeing it on Sunday.
11:03They had problems with discipline a year ago.
11:05I hope they're not going to have more of them now because the league is cracking down.
11:09What if they just do like, hey, we got the boom.
11:13That's what we do.
11:14We got the boom.
11:15What's that kid?
11:16The Rizzler?
11:17The Rizzler.
11:17Yeah.
11:19They can do that.
11:20It's not violent.
11:21But they got the boom.
11:22Yeah.
11:24That thing went away fast, huh?
11:26Yeah.
11:29It wasn't really a.
11:31It was a thing.
11:32Well, it wasn't really like a.
11:34It was a thing.
11:34A long standing thing.
11:35I still think it's out there.
11:37All right.
11:37It's finished strong Friday.
11:39It's just a question I have.
11:40How's that going to impact the Patriots?
11:44With all these penalty flags they're going to throw this year.
11:47I have a lot of them.
11:49I think it's a little bit.
11:50I'm going to play.
11:51I'm going to play.
11:52I'm going to play.
