Alan Pattullo at the Parken Stadion after Scotland's 0-0 draw with Denmark.
Transcript
00:00Full-time in Scotland's World Cup qualifier against Denmark. It's finished at the park in
00:07Denmark 0, Scotland 0. Alan, who's over there at the stadium in Copenhagen, quick reflections on
00:14that performance and result. I think it's a very, very good result in the circumstances here in a
00:22very, very difficult venue. I don't think too many people were anticipating Scotland coming here and
00:27getting a really commendable 0-0 draw. A point to start with in a place where many, many teams have
00:37come here in the past and floundered. I think it's a really strong start. Steve Clarke, credit to him
00:43as well. He put out a team that not many people have predicted. I think that's fair to say. Lyndon
00:49Dykes and Shee Adams up front, not playing Billy Gilmore from the start. A few eyebrows were raised,
00:55but I think it was vindicated. His choices were vindicated this evening. They can now travel
01:03on to Hungary to play Belarus in a really, really good heart.
01:06You're right, Alan. They go there in great spirits. There was one moment of real consternation when
01:11Max Johnston survived a VAR check for a red card, probably the key talking point from the match. What
01:17was your view from the press box on that?
01:18Well, probably not as good as your view. We're high up here in the parking stadium.
01:24Did it look like a red card to you at the time?
01:26It didn't actually to me. And I have to say, you know, usually when the referee goes to the screen,
01:30you're really thinking, well, you're thinking the worst. It's going to be ominous. I just had this
01:34feeling that he wouldn't upgrade it, actually. And fair play to the referee. He kind of stuck to
01:39his guns. And yeah, it would have been an extra, extra nervy last 20 or so minutes, I think,
01:44if Scotland had gone down to 10 men at that time, it was nervy enough as it was.
01:49Indeed, Alan. Luke, you've got Steve Clarke to go and speak to and the players will let you crack on.
01:53Thank you very much for joining us in the parking stadium. We've finished Denmark 0, Scotland 0.
