00:00We were just talking there about how the Coalition of the Willing, which is, of course, a group made up of about 30 nations, has been meeting in Paris.
00:10It's a mostly European collection of nations, but there is also Canada, Australia and Japan.
00:17Are they all looking and sounding united, would you say?
00:23I think the Europeans and those other countries you mentioned are pretty united, Tom, yes.
00:28What they're trying to do is two things, really.
00:31One is to reassure Ukraine that the financial and military political commitment is there and will continue as long as it's necessary.
00:43But also trying to send a message to President Trump that the Europeans are now paying their way.
00:50They're stepping up to the plate.
00:52They're carrying the burden, but America is required in particular as some sort of safety net to any security guarantees that are agreed as part of an eventual peace deal.
