Transcript
00:00I think when you first hear about four trails, it is just so unfathomable that
00:10someone can do 300k straight, that it attracts a lot of questions.
00:15Physically, you're abusing your body in a way you shouldn't.
00:31You can't really imagine how hard it is until you try.
00:34I've never in my whole life gone through such a thing.
00:37It throws everything at you, roads, stairs, technical, a ton of elevation, it just beats
00:44the shit out of you.
00:46No matter how good you are, no matter how well you're prepared, you can still fail.
00:52You're pushing the edge of what's possible in human endurance.
00:57How far do you push your body?
01:00The longer the distance you go, the more factors come into play.
01:05Over the course of 300k, there's always going to be something that's going to go wrong.
01:0972 hours is three days straight, nonstop.
01:13That was when my mind just completely disintegrated.
01:17I think it's quite tempting to take on the challenge and not really realize when a challenge
01:26is appropriate versus completely ridiculous.
01:32I've never done something as hard as the four trails.
01:37Four trails, hands down, is one of the world's toughest events.
01:43For the sport of trail running, the ultimate ball breaker.
01:47There's always going to be a part of my life.
01:58I'm the one of the people who is a little based on your way,
02:02and I can never change that way.
02:03I've never seen that when the tally of the people are home.
