03:36After two incredible days at Sentosa island, the competition moved inland to our Tempanese hub and to a celebration of artistic support.

05:35To be here in Singapore in the championships is really great.

05:38This is my childhood dream to be a world champion.

05:42Such a special experience. I'm so happy.

05:49It's been an incredible experience.

05:50It's been great to race, you know,

05:52...some fabulous people from around the world.

05:54Especially because I am here with my friend.

06:00It's actually really fun. We're really fast,

06:02...and some good ladies to swim with.

06:09This is my fourth World Championship,

06:12...and finally I win my medal.

06:22It's not about the competition itself.

06:24It's just meeting up with all sorts of different people

06:26...that have passion.

06:28I've met people here.

06:30I hope to see them again in two years in Budapest.

06:38Yeah, look, this is a very big moment for me.

06:41...I didn't expect to get a medal here,

06:43...and I'm so happy and proud that I did.

06:58I want to congratulate Singapore people for the great organization

07:02...that they put on this World Masters Championship.

07:05...I can never remember not being in the water.

07:23Being in the water is a big part of what I am,

07:29...who I am, that that's part of me.

07:31How does water shape me?

07:37Well, water is serenity.

07:39It's where I go to think.

07:41It's where I go to get the best out of myself.

07:46It's everything I do.

07:47It shapes what time I get out of bed,

07:49...what time I do everything.

07:51It's my whole life.

07:54Water makes me the person that I am.

07:57I've spent so many years in a swimming pool,

08:00...or associated with artistic swimming.

08:03It's a massive part of who I am.

08:09How does water shape me?

08:13Skinnier shape.

08:15By draining hard.

08:17It keeps me motivated,

08:19...and totally shapes my life.

08:21I think it connects me with my childhood.

08:27When I was a baby, wanting how to swim,

08:30...with my dad in the Pacific Ocean.

08:32It gives me a feeling of being very free in the water,

08:38...with all my movements.

08:40It's shaped what I believe my values,

08:43...through my interactions with my teammates,

08:45...with my competitors.

08:47Water shapes me.

08:49Self-discipline, self-motivation,

08:51...driving yourself forward to be something better.

08:53The water shapes you.

08:55It offers people so much opportunity.

09:04At the purpose-built World Championships Arena,

09:07...starting blocks had made way for nets,

09:09...and swimming lanes had become pitches,

09:11...with the start of the water polo competition.

09:15Well, I know we look like we're in our 30s,

09:21...but we're actually 40 plus.

09:31The community, the friendship,

09:33...the family support, the friends support.

09:35That's the best from the sport.

09:37We are playing just for fun,

09:46...and that we made friends for the whole 50 years ago.

09:59It's an amazing experience,

10:00...so thank you to World Aquatics and to Singapore.

10:04One thing I like about water polo is,

10:06...every 30 seconds you have a chance to redeem yourself.

10:27The final event of the World Aquatics Masters Championships 2025,

10:38...was diving,

10:39...where competitors from ages 25 to 86,

10:42...made a splash,

10:44...at the OCBC Aquatic Centre.

10:46Diving is about a family,

10:57...and so we make friends even with people around the world.

10:59...this is my gold!

11:04Age is just a number anyhow.

11:07I got a few more years I hope.

11:16I'm just holding my tears because this is a journey I've done.

11:34...now the dreams come true.

11:41Some of these people like,

11:43...I mean I watched at the Olympics,

11:45...and to get to be here and dive with them is amazing!

11:54We connect and then our friends for all time.

12:05Why should people get in the World Aquatics Masters?

12:07Why not?

12:08Why not is probably my question.

12:09When you surround yourself with a bunch of like-minded individuals

12:12...that want to have a laugh and want to have fun,

12:15...and not take life too seriously,

12:16...I mean this is one of the best places you can do it.

12:19...because it offers them so much opportunity in life.

12:26It gives them the opportunity to make friends.

12:28It gives them the opportunity to excel.

12:31You just see the world.

12:33It's wonderful.

12:36Don't tell me that you are tired.

12:40I know you.

12:41I know you, my friend.

12:44Travelling the world, taking part in these competitions,

12:47...and building friendships that will last a lifetime.

12:50Well, it's a great event.

12:53It brings all races all over the world,

12:57...come together as one.

12:58It's a big community.

13:02I just couldn't imagine not doing this.

13:05It's just so much fun.

13:09Being involved in Masters works the body.

13:12It works the mind.

13:14...and as big a part of that is the social.

13:17That it's so well-rounded.

13:19To have her as my teammate is an absolute honor and inspiration.

13:24She is artistic swimming.

13:28It gives you happiness if you come into this world.

13:34I promise you, once you get into this world,

13:37...you realize the joy and happiness of artistic swimming.

13:40It shapes your personality as a total, you know?

13:43So you become physically strong, mentally alert, and socially active.

13:57People should be in the world aquatics simply because it's being with friends,

14:02...that you know from around the world.

14:04Wow!

14:09If you want to stay fit,

14:10...if you want to have a goal in life,

14:13...if you want to make good friends,

14:15...and share your passion,

14:16...I think you should be part of this amazing event.

14:19Guys, I encourage everybody to do it.

14:31It's a great thing to be part of the World Aquatics Masters.

14:34You'll meet so many people from around the world that are just like you.

14:37They might not speak the same language, but they're just like you.
