Jason gives you a sort-of secret demo of what he things will be the best sim racing rig of the year. Asetek is known for high-performance sim racing gear but for the first time ever, the brand is launching a value model, and I’m the first person on the planet to try this $1,000 rig. The demo includes testing the wheel, pedals and even the seat! Don't tell them I'm showing you this...

00:00Sim racing can be a rich person's game, but more and more companies are trying to make
00:05it more accessible.
00:06This is the AceTech .
00:10I've had to censor that last bit because I'm technically not allowed to tell you what it's
00:14even called.
00:15I can't really talk to you about it, but you know what?
00:18I'm going to go a bit rogue and I'm going to say some little bits and bobs here.
00:22It may have five newton meters of force feedback through the wheel.
00:27It may have a completely customizable acceleration and brake pedal system with a load cell brake
00:34system going on here as well.
00:36The wheel may feel really, really good on it and there may be a lot of detail coming through
00:41this direct drive wheelbase that is on here.
00:43Stuff that you expect from a company that has such a premium pedigree in Sim racing.
00:50Oh, and if you were to ask me about console support, then I could say yes.
00:56I would add the condition that PlayStation support is coming later.
00:59But in terms of out the box, you could plug this into your Xbox and play something like
01:05Forza Horizon 5 here.
01:06But here's the kicker.
01:08While I crash into a lamppost.
01:11This is where the value proposition of this comes in.
01:15Because what they're aiming for is to get basically all of this.
01:20So I'm not just talking about the wheel and the pedals.
01:22I'm talking about the wheel, the pedals and the very throne I'm sitting on right now for
01:28around about the $1,000 mark.
01:30So I know we're wondering around the four figure price tag going on here, but for an entire
01:34thing like this, that is seriously good value for money.
01:38And in terms of when you can get it, well, you absolutely won't be able to find it maybe
01:46around August.
01:47Obviously you didn't hear that from me.
01:49Don't get me in trouble with AceTech.
01:50And also it's something that will be easily upgradeable over the course of time as well.
01:55So as you start to get better and better at Sim racing and you need something like a
01:58strong wheel, maybe you need like a more advanced pedal system.
02:02Maybe you want like the shifter to kind of work on value.
02:04It will all work with this as part of AceTech's ecosystem.
02:08So I want to know what you think.
02:09First of all, are you as obsessed with Sim racing as I am?
02:13Totally fine if you're not.
02:14I know I'm a bit of a special example.
02:16But would you buy something like this?
02:18Go ahead and let me know in the comments.
02:19And for more Computech stuff, keep it locked on TomSky.com.
02:32Thanks.
02:34Bye.
02:34Bye.
02:35Bye.
