00:00Hello, how are you? That was very gentlemanly of you both there. How are you both doing?
00:13Right, how are you? We stood back naturally.
00:15Yeah, and you were speechless. You were taking it back. Honestly, I felt like we were back in the 1930s there for a minute.
00:21Oh yeah, have a bit of that.
00:23Listen, I love your characters in this. I love the alliance that they have. It's a quiet alliance.
00:29I love your necklace. That's beautiful. A little bit of glamour there.
00:32I mean, I tried, but I got caught in the downturn. I'm just having my foes taken, and the show must go on.
00:38It's the distressed look, and it looks good. You're pulling it off.
00:41I'm probably like a lady, but clearly it's not going to work. Do you know what I mean? I'm not meant to be that.
00:46No, the jewellery is working, honestly.
00:49But listen, the alliance that your character's going to have, Lady Mary, they support her, even though she's going through the divorce and everything.
00:56They've got that quiet support. I love that kind of storyline. It's my favourite thing in the movie.
01:00So how was it, kind of, playing these characters in that time where, you know, divorce was such a bad thing?
01:08Well, that and being gay, you know, we're the gays, so we stick up for everyone.
01:12That was harder.
01:13Yeah, that's harder than divorce.
01:15Yeah, you don't know.
01:16I didn't want to say it, but it was on the tip of my tongue to say the girls and the gays, the alliance was there, even way back when.
01:22Yeah, we're right there with her.
01:24No, I think, obviously, you can empathise with someone being ostracised for no good reason, apart from falling out of love or whatever, you know what I mean?
01:32So, yeah, they're definitely down with Lady Mary for that very reason.
01:36Honestly, favourite thing in the movie.
01:37What was it like being an actor of that time as well?
01:40I think they had a ball, you know, all the lot, the, like, guy who were, they were called the British Raj, the Hollywood Raj, and they'd all come out from England where they were, you know, miserable and cold, go out to Hollywood and play cricket on the beach.
01:53They loved it, they had a ball, I'd love to have gone there, you know.
01:57And they drank a lot as well, didn't they?
01:58Yeah, yeah, David and Nib and all that lot.
02:01Did you two have a good laugh together then? I feel like you did.
02:06I don't, I think so, I don't know.
02:11We did, we did.
02:14We, they didn't keep our sex scene in for some reason, but I suppose they were, you know.
02:19When he was in stirrups, it was.
02:21Listen, there was one storyline that was scandalous enough, that'd have been too much.
02:26Yeah, it'd have been too much too soon, but in the spin-off, that's, that's.
02:30DVD extras.
02:31I'm obsessed with you two saying, we are the gays, that's made my night, thank you both.
02:34Boys, boys, boys.
02:37See you later.
