00:00Are you very young in the business?
00:06Yes.
00:06Napaka-bata mo. Nakita namin lahat yan.
00:09Ang iyong pag-usbong, pag-bloom into a young man.
00:16Paano ka binoo at binasag ng iyong maagang pagtatrabaho sa industriya?
00:23Binoo ako very early stage pa lang.
00:26I was mentally prepared for this job.
00:30Dahil nagsimula ako, three years old ako.
00:32I was doing all commercials.
00:34First movie ko, I was six years old.
00:35Pumasok ako sa That's Entertainment, I was four years old.
00:38Surrounded ako ng lahat ng mga adults.
00:41So I was briefed definitely na ito yung ginagawa ko.
00:45Trabaho na.
00:45It's not fun and games.
00:48But yun nga, I think yung pagkabasag sa akin is the reality struck
00:54when I was in my teens,
00:56when I have to kind of hide what I was doing in school
01:00para hindi lang ako malait
01:02or yung hindi ako bigyan ng special treatment,
01:06especially with the other kids in school.
01:07Itinatago mo ang iyong pag-aartista sa skwela
01:10para hindi ka mabuli.
01:11In New York, para hindi ako mabuli,
01:12para hindi ako...
01:14There's no judgment whatsoever.
01:16Were you successful?
01:18I was successful for ilang taon.
01:20Na hindi nila alam?
01:21Na hindi nila alam until one time,
01:23I sang the national anthem to one of the games in New York.
01:29And nagsitingin ng lahat like,
01:31you didn't tell me you sing,
01:33ganito-ganyan,
01:33pero I've already come out with two albums at that time.
01:37Dalawa na yun nalabas ko sa ibang bansa.
01:38I was back and forth na
01:39from Europe to America.
01:43Pero tinago ko for the longest time,
01:46not just because na
01:47I wasn't proud or I was manipulated.
01:51It was just,
01:52I don't want to be judged
01:54and I don't want to be bullied.
01:55Especially in New York.
01:56Yeah, I know.
01:56Especially in New York.
01:57Pero na-bullied ka?
01:58Yeah, of course I was bullied.
01:59I had my hamburgers spat on every day in school.
02:03I was in and out of fights here and there.
02:06Dahil I was the only Asian in my school.
02:08There was 90% black people
02:10and the rest of them was Puerto Rican, Dominicans.
02:12Ako lang yung Pinoy.
02:14Umabot sa physical?
02:15Oh yeah.
02:16Oh yeah.
02:16Oh yeah.
02:18Okay.
02:18It was a rough, rough, rough, rough
02:21adolescence for me.
02:23You fought back?
02:24Of course I fought back.
02:25For the first two years, I didn't
02:27because I was scared.
02:27Uh-oh.
02:28But my dad told me,
02:29uh, if you, uh, stand if you're correct.
02:32You know what I mean?
02:32And, and, and fight for...
02:34So dad knew that you were being bullied.
02:36My dad knew.
02:36But my dad as well, you know,
02:38he was working.
02:40Nasa trabaho ang tatay ko most of the time.
02:41So he was there rarely.
02:43So when he was there,
02:44he was trying to guide me
02:45and, you know, teaching me how to be a man.
02:47I got to see.
