00:00Echoes of Valour has found its first screening at the prestigious Venezuelan Festival and the
00:23response we got was overwhelming. It's so amazing to see people from different cultures
00:29coming together watching your film and one reaction coming from all and that is
00:34speechless. For a while everyone was quiet until they all came out of the
00:39theater and gave their reactions. I guess somewhere we all feel the same and
00:45somewhere it resonates beautifully so I'm glad we had this beautiful screening
00:50in Venice and just love to thank the audience here and I'm sure it's gonna
00:56soar higher and reach where this film really deserves to reach the most
01:06challenging thing about being Shukla Bandhapadhyay was that first of all it's
01:12not an easy life to live she's been an epitome of strength grit and grace and
01:21just talking with her was like a huge responsibility coming my way I could
01:28foresee that it's gonna be a lot of hard work and the hard work lay in not just
01:34giving all your lines and being on the set the way you have to but feel the pain
01:43that she had feel the grief that she had try to be as sincere as genuine to her
01:50story and it became such a huge thing because many times she was on the set
01:58watching herself being played so yeah that was my first that I had and I'm doing a
02:06biopic on someone's life and that person is on the set with you I think it's a
02:10not necessarily an experience and a huge responsibility
02:18we live in very tough times where everyone is talking about war this story
02:27transcends above all that about human relationships about human bonds about
02:32the families that suffer because of war and here is the story of this very strong
02:38woman who's a mother and she in spite of losing her son to the Lord takes the
02:46message of love and due to the other countries and and just spreads this thing
02:53that if we teach our children love I think this this war and and everything else the
03:02loss that comes with it might lessen out not just for people who give away their lives
03:07but for the families who are attached to these army people the young lads
03:12everyone who gives away their lives so it's a beautiful message it overwhelms me
03:19to see a message of love coming in the difficult times we live in and I think
03:24for that matter echoes of battle is a very very important film in today's times
03:28so we are here at the Venice film festival representing echoes of valor and I'm playing the character of
03:40Hady Ryan in the film who is a professor and he acts as a catalyst in the film helping the
03:46protagonist get to her end goal I don't want to tell more about the about what I'm doing in the film
03:52because it will reveal the story of the film but I can guarantee you once you watch the
03:58film if you don't cry in the beginning of the film I'll probably take you out for
04:04dinner if you don't cry but it is a very emotional film it talks about topics it
04:10touches the topics of patriotism it touches the topics of her mother's love and the
04:14extent to which a mother is ready to go just to you know just to know what has
04:21happened to their child and it resonated a lot with me because I'm very close to my
04:26mother and I can't wait for you guys to watch it because it is a beautiful film
04:32beautifully conceptualized written and directed by Indra Dhar and yeah that's
04:37that's pretty much all I can speak about the film right now coming to Venice with
04:42the film I would again like to thank my director for having me in this film
04:46because it's my first film festival and that was such a prestigious one
04:51um everyone who saw the film they loved it and it was a common reaction from
04:56people that they could not stop crying so yeah echoes of valor we're not ready for it
05:01thank you
