Shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei and Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah received a heroes’ welcome after returning home following their historic success at the World Championships in Paris.  Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh and Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Deputy President V. Subramaniam were among those who greeted Tang Jie-Ee Wei and Pearly-Thinaah at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang on Tuesday (Sept 2). 01:13Dan saya sangat gembira mereka teruskan usaha mereka sejak bulan April sehingga sekarang.

01:24Dan hari ini satu negara, satu dunia boleh tengok kemenangan itu, kejayaan itu merupakan hasil kuat pelbagai pihak.

01:33Semestinya daripada atlet sendiri, mereka mesti mahukan kemenangan tersebut dan persatuan, keluarga mereka dan paling penting tangji dengan iwei.

01:48Keyakinan dan kemahuan untuk bertanding bersama.

01:52Oleh sebab itu, resepi itu berjaya.

01:54Of course, untuk Road to Goal, kita sangat gembira.

01:57Because Road to Goal, setiap atlet, mereka sign contract untuk bagikan komitmen mereka kepada negara.

02:04Kerana ini adalah pelaburan negara.

02:06Jadi mereka follow through dengan komitmen yang mereka telah sign.

02:11Dan dalam empat bulan sahaja, kita boleh lihat kemenangan itu.

02:15So, they are really our Road to Goal success story.

02:17And today, both of them must now see that they are history makers.

02:26Ganjaran untuk Syakam, untuk Gold Medal, dia ada kadar.

02:33Jadi untuk pemenang pingat emas RM20,000, setiap seorang dapat RM10,000.

02:40Untuk pemenang pingat perak RM10,000, tetapi setiap pemenang dapat RM5,000.

02:45Saya telah berbincang dengan Presiden BAM, Tengku Zafrol.

02:49Dan kita nantikan syakam tambahan daripada Tengku Zafrol, Presiden BAM nantilah.

02:57Untuk Perli dan Tina, saya nak nyatakan bahawa mereka telah memberikan inspirasi kepada ramai pemain wanita di Malaysia.

03:11Selalunya, when we talk about badminton, our male athletes get a lot of attention and focus.

03:18But both of them have changed the face of women in badminton in Malaysia.

03:24And mereka pulang dengan pingat perak.

03:28This is a great achievement.

03:29Okay, so syabas kepada our athlete.

03:34Saya lihat badminton adalah sukan perpaduan Malaysia.

03:39Jadi bagi pihak kerajaan Madani, kita akan terus memberikan pelaburan besar untuk badminton.

03:45Boleh share sikitlah you punya perlastaan sekarang.

03:49Okay, firstly I thank everyone for coming.

03:51And thank you YB, Hana Yo.

03:56I want to share about my journey.

03:59Because as you know, my journey is not easy.

04:03And I got a lot of up and down, a lot of signals also.

04:07But then MSN and ISN help me a lot.

04:11And also YB, Hana and Aldi G give us a lot of support.

04:17That's why we can go all out on the court and give our best.

04:22Because as you all know, I got a signal on my back.

04:26So Aldi G give me extra support for my prehab, rehab, all this.

04:32So that's really help me on the court.

04:34Not only for me, but also for every player at the BM.

04:37I hope not only me because all the players, they sacrifice for everything for our country.

05:07And they fight all out on the court.

05:11Yeah, this is what we want to do for Malaysia.

05:14Because we're playing with the flag on our chest.

05:17And we're really proud of it.

05:19So we want to win for Malaysia.

05:21And also for ourselves.

05:22We're working hard.

05:23Because every day we're training hard.

05:26Like, Politina, Changjian, everyone.

05:28We see every day also.

05:30Like, more than our parents.

05:33So we really do our best for our country.

05:35You win, you hadir ke World Championship dengan tak ada target.

05:40Maybe Bourdieu sahaja.

05:41Tapi ramai yang target must to main double.

05:44You rasa pressure tu kurang ke atau apa?

05:46Masa you datang ke World Championship.

05:47Ramai yang tak tengok you in World Championship, tapi untuk main double sahaja.

05:50Ya, memang that time kita tak ada cakap apa masa that time.

05:56Because there's a lot of things happen to us.

06:01It's not easy.

06:03Because, but I'm really thankful for my coach that he trusts me and my partner a lot.

06:09So when we reach to the court, so we just give our best on the court.

06:14And step by step, really, ya, we can make it.

06:17Because the final is a Merdeka Day also.

06:22So we really trying hard lah.

06:25Everyone is trying hard for it.

06:27Ya.

06:27I want to run the same thing to Dina.

06:29Because all eyes on man double, so this one chip be chip, you rasa it will help you to reduce pressure on yourself.

06:35How are you?

06:35I think we have our own targets as well.

06:40Of course, I think entering the tournament at second seats, kita pun ada expectations and all.

06:45But then, thankfully, that we have the coaches and also my partner to be there.

06:49So I think everyone really did their best in the games.

06:53Not, nobody wants to lose.

06:55So I think this is something we have to learn.

06:58And also, congrats to Zhang Ji and Atou as well for their championship.

07:02And also, congrats to all the players that have given their best.

07:05And, ya, we will definitely come back stronger in the next one.

07:08Your silver medal ni is historic juga.

07:11Jadi, apa you rasa mungkin you maharapkan ia akan menjadi satu pemangkin pada,

07:16might be, or lebih untuk pencapaian rumah sahabat dalam di Badminton Malaysia?

07:23I think, ya, to win this medal is also something big.

07:27And we really hope that this can really open eyes to a lot of, especially women atlet out there.

07:32And also, to believe that as long as you work hard and also enjoy the process of it, anything is possible.

07:39Yeah, like what Tina said, I'm very happy and proud that we can bring Women's Double to the eye of the world.

07:51There's no regret, and we really give everything, we work hard for this medal, and there's still more journey to go.

08:02We won't stay here and we will fight again.
