00:01Now that Inside Gaming has its own channel, we're finally able to get out and do what we've always tried to do
00:07and make the best thing that we can possibly do together here as a team.
00:13Inside Gaming is what would happen if your life depended on reporting on video game news on YouTube on a small channel.
00:25Kids are important because kids are the future and gaming is the future for kids and we're reporting on gaming which is the future of news for the kids who are the future of us.
00:35Inside Gaming was originally founded so that Machinima could get free video games but as time went on we found that we could do things with this name, we could change lives.
00:44If you were to go out into the woods and you found out that you needed to hunt and filter water and set up a tent and squat by a tree, that's what I feel like everyday when I come into the office.
01:02The team we've assembled here is the most important group of people in the history of entertainment.
01:07These are people willing to do anything so we can get a couple thousand views but it's changing lives.
01:14It's like it's about when you go out into the woods and you hunt for food and you filter water and you pitch a tent and you squat by a tree and it's about video games.
01:23Adam and Bruce fight a lot and that conflict is really what gives good.
01:38Like my relationship with COVID, it's tumultuous at best.
01:45I literally have kids come up to me everyday and ask, who is inside gaming?
01:50We all are.
02:08I would say inside gaming is the single most important thing on this earth today.
02:20If not ever, today.
02:23A lot of people talk about success and what it means to them.
02:27I think for us it's more important that we're successful than anybody else being successful.
02:32Because when we're successful, our success is reflected in our work.
02:36And also we get money for being successful.
02:39For three days we did this.
02:41And at the end of the three days, Kovic looked at me and he said,
02:44Paul, he said,
02:46Paul is a figure of our love.
02:48And I did it.
02:50And he said, that's inside gaming.
02:53When a game launches or someone puts out concept art or some guy on Twitter speculates about information,
02:59who's going to cover it?
03:01There's nobody out there.
03:02Except for these guys, who are out there.
03:05And in here.
03:06And in here.
03:08Inside gaming is like one part hydrogen and the other sulfide.
03:13And when you put it together, you get a really unstable combination.
03:16But here in this office, we're able to create something magical that really is the most important thing ever.
03:22When, when I all, when I came up, I walked up to them and Kovic said,
03:26this is sticky and this is branchy and this is woody.
03:29I was like, whoa, like they really were a bunch of sticks.
03:33And I kept wondering, like I was, I was like, why the comments on inside gaming say they're all a bunch of fags.
03:38Now I know why, because they really are.
03:41They really are.
03:43I'll see you next time.
03:45All right.
03:46Bye.
03:47Bye.
03:48Bye.
03:49Bye.
03:50Bye.
03:52Bye.
04:13Yeah, just today a man in a wheelchair backed up into my spot and hit my bike and knocked
04:24it over and cursed at me.
04:27Branding is really important to inside gaming because when you brand something, you really
04:32have to like, you've got to sink that metal into the fire and you've got to heat that
04:37metal up and you know, just jam it on your arm and it scars you, it scars you for life.
04:44That scar, really important because it reminds you of how terrible you felt when it hit your
04:49arm.
04:51That's inside gaming.
04:52If you picture it like red blood cells carrying oxygen through the body, I would say that's
05:01branding to me.
05:03Without the oxygen, inside gaming dies.
05:09We need them to understand through the power of this brand exactly what inside gaming means.
05:15Every day for lunch we have a pretty strict protein regime.
05:18We start off with an appetizer of nuts, almonds predominantly, although sometimes we'll do
05:24macadamia nuts, just depending on what the market price is.
05:28Even Adam usually has three turkey patties, but he has them in between two beef patties.
05:34He calls it the meat burger.
05:36Kovic was eight years old and he'd learned about video games from his step-step father.
05:45And his step-step father told him, son, son, we really need you to report on video game news.
05:54He knew it was going to be a big deal.
05:56I would love to know who gave Kovic this job because it wasn't me and it's a good point.
06:03Maybe nobody gave him the job and he just turns up.
06:05I don't even know if he gets a paycheck.
06:06Maybe he just shows up every day and he doesn't get paid for it.
06:10Brand isn't that important for any gaming site like ours because at the end of the day,
06:15people are coming for the video games.
06:17The video games are always going to be more important than the actual people making the content.
06:29That's actually true.
06:31I'm so fucked up.
06:33I'm so fucked up.
06:51There's a timeline on a chart between zero and infinity.
07:12Inside gaming is right in the middle.
07:16Dreams can come true if you believe in those dreams, and if those dreams are inside gaming,
07:21those dreams will come true every day.
07:25Inside gaming gives me magical powers to fly, and I can only fly to Machinima and back.
07:33I can't fly anywhere else.
07:35Kovac hops on my back, we fly to Machinima, and we both have the space.
07:43My favorite Star Wars character is probably Newt Gunray from the Trade Federation.
07:49He really speaks to me in his attempts to unilaterally control media and trade Natalie Portman.
08:00We've actually engineered sleep pods, which are time lock activated.
08:06At 8 a.m., a small Japanese woman comes by and knocks lightly on them.
08:11She opens it up, and I greet her for the day.
08:13I say reporting for duty, and then I just stand up and I'm here.
08:26These are the things that sustain us and that we put in to every single thing we do.
08:31We need the sustenance of heart and power to be able to push that out.
08:36Dreams can come true.
08:38It could happen to you, but it's already happened to us.
08:43The best thing about this office is the door, because it opens so many opportunities, but
08:48it also keeps people out that we don't want inside there.
09:10And for now, I will run into it.
09:56We have a lot of fans for a lot of games. Darkstalker fans eclipse them all in their annoyance levels, their babydom, their propensity of using foul language. And so they're super vocal. It's a vocal minority, I would say.
10:15Darkstalkers. The person to ask about Darkstalkers is Phil. Phil could tell you about Darkstalkers probably until he's blue in the face because it's the kind of pretty awful game that he would absolutely revel in.
10:28There's this really hot chick in Darkstalkers named Morrigan. And I cosplay as Morrigan. And Kovic, he cosplays as those things on her head.
10:43So what we do is, I'm Morrigan and I show off my cleavage. I got some pretty good cleavage. It's Harry that's there. Put that costume on and then he, again, he's the horns. He's like whatever those things are on the top. He gets on top of my head. Sits right here.
11:00Clearly, there was my life before Darkstalkers. And there's my life after Darkstalkers. Would you say that your life is in the past? Or would you say it's in the future? It's neither. It's in the present.
11:14We go to San Diego Comic Con. No one recognizes us. No one. It's Morrigan. It's Morrigan. They come up and take pictures. Morrigan. I have no idea that Adam Kovic is on the head. Just sitting there. It's great.
11:28From my understanding, Darkstalkers is a very well-known franchise of t-shirts that fit very well. And I will continue wearing those shirts as long as people will let me.
11:42I couldn't name a Darkstalkers character if we were here till the end of time.
11:46Oh, I don't play Darkstalkers.
11:48I know nothing about Darkstalkers. I know literally nothing about Darkstalkers.
11:58I don't play Darkstalkers. I know.
12:28We get asked this all the time by people who define your favorite game of all time.
12:33And that's just not true.
12:35Games are always changing and becoming better.
12:37Skyrim.
12:38Well, Kovic has a certain affinity to Skyrim because for the first time in his career he
12:44found his quote on boxes and on the internet and he got an overzealous sense of worth.
12:51Ask him about any game, he will bring up Skyrim because he feels attached to it.
12:56Skyrim is easily the best game of 2013.
13:03Star Wars Monopoly would be Insight Gaming's game of 1997.
13:12What's that shitty game in the arcade where you would do the King's Quest or the King's
13:19Lair?
13:20Or the one with the fucking shitty video, real time video?
13:23Yeah, it was all real time video.
13:24What was it called?
13:25King's Lair.
13:26King's Lair?
13:27Fucking whatever.
13:28Dragon's Lair?
13:29Dragon's Lair.
13:30That's our game of 1997.
13:31Who gives a fuck?
13:32Insight Gaming's game of 1997 would be, because I was around then and can probably remember,
13:37Duke Nukem 3D.
13:39Oh no, that was 96.
13:41Insight Gaming's game of the year is probably going to be the game of love because we found
13:46it in this office.
13:47For 1997, I believe the best game of all time for Insight Gaming here was Skyrim.
13:53I believe it must be on a long time for the moment.
13:56After the next session...
13:57Oh no!
13:58Oh no, we haven't caught it.
13:59Oh no, oh no!
14:01No!
14:02You're the one who's on the other side!
14:03I have a wrong day!
14:04For now I will see you in the next session!
14:05Well, you've still saw the game of the game of the game of $7,000.
14:07And that's what I saw.
14:09I'll be like when I saw a game of the game, of the game of the game.
14:11This episode of Force Quit is brought to you by The Shaggy Dog, starring Tim Allen.
14:29Raise the Wolf, March 10th, 2006.
14:34E3 is all about the video games, so I predict that the Xbox will not be priced,
14:39and that the Sony PlayStation 4 will be renamed to something better.
14:44So number one, Microsoft comes out, does the Xbox One presentation, and goes bankrupt in the middle of it.
14:53Just totally in the middle, like somebody comes out, gives them a Chapter 11, that's it, Microsoft's done.
14:59From there, during the Microsoft press conference, Katsurai from Sony comes out and yells Ridge Racer at the top of his lungs,
15:06and a car drives through the fucking stage, and it's the Sony press conference.
15:12It starts right in the middle of the Microsoft press conference, they're bankrupt, Sony's taken over, and that's it.
15:17And then he butt-
15:17I remember E3 1974,
15:25and Atari just started bragging about all the profits that they had accrued,
15:32and they started handing out, like, little press conference gift bags,
15:37and they were just dime bags of cocaine, there was so much cocaine.
15:41It was the 70s, and it was just a different time.
15:44The food is my worst and best E3 memory, because I had a burrito, and it was really good,
15:53and then the next time, I had a salad, and it was really, really bad, and it made me sick.
15:59Like everybody...
16:01As an industry insider, I can confidently say that this year's E3 will be the biggest ever.
16:07I mean, it's the one everybody's with.
16:09And hopefully, this year, it won't end in murder.
16:11I certainly don't need blood on my hands again.
16:13Like everybody, our fingers are crossed, we're hoping for the best.
16:16I'm genuinely excited to see how many different shirts Bruce can wear in one day.
16:24It's always exciting.
16:25If you watch, like, some of IG Daily, you'll see.
16:28He'll start in one shirt, yet somehow ends either shirtless or in another.
16:33So it's really good, it's like a chance I get to see Bruce's fashion, like who he is.
16:38It's a really exciting time for me.
16:40I'm actually tearing up just thinking about it.
16:42My last E3 will probably take place on my deathbed, as they wheel me in and stick a mic in my face,
16:47and ask me to keep talking about E3.
16:49It's a really important industry event.
16:51So my first E3 was actually E3 1983.
16:54I finally, I got to, I got to E3, and I remember being blown away,
17:00because there was like, there was Pong, and there was like Ataris, and Commodore 64s,
17:06and computers, things I'd never seen before, because I was two.
17:10I will say E3 was the greatest thing I ever went to, or died at.
17:30I got to, I got to, I got to, I got to get to see you.
17:39That's where I got to play.
17:44DUDE E3 is like a new video, right?
17:46But yeah.
17:48And that's what it means that I made up in the world of the world of the world.
17:51And that's what I want to do.
17:53So, I'm going to have to do this first time I'm going to have to do this.
17:55The future of Inside Gaming is probably going to just be something that's so much more than
18:01what it is now that you won't really know what it is until you see it.
18:06Inside Gaming's favorite television show, and this isn't a guess, this is real, it's
18:12Rizzoli and Isles on USA.
18:15There's nothing bigger than Inside's gaming car.
18:18We have so many plans to really just take over the world, take over the world, take
18:23over the world, nothing is ever going to keep them down.
18:53I can be there and ain't that much.
18:57I can be there and I can be there.
19:07I can be there.
19:15inside gaming was once an innocent piece of baby we're still a baby but now we're way worse
19:32you know i work out seven eight days a week so it becomes like a it becomes like a thing for me
19:41i look in the mirror i'm like boy i look good what i really like is to continue the sense of
19:48professionalism that we've established in the year 2013 and the year 2012 and the year 2011
19:56and the year 2010 and the year 2009
20:02i'm dave bill what did you do with the money
20:05uh i can do almost 10 push-ups uh there was this one time where there was this thing growing out
20:13of my back and i could feel it but i couldn't scratch it off i used tweezers without looking
20:19and was like bam ripped it right out so i was saying that when i have sex with women
20:27they talk about how big my penis is the only way inside gaming can get any lower is if people find
20:36out that actually we were responsible for the robot attacks because joel rubin is always
