00:00It is the duty of every Muslim that he should do Dawah. Dawah is compulsory for every Muslim.
00:08What is the meaning of the Arabic word Dawah? The Arabic word Dawah means to invite, to call.
00:16And in Islamic context, Dawah to Islam means inviting the non-Muslims towards Islam.
00:22I start my talk by quoting a verse of the glorious Quran from Surah Nihal, chapter number 16, verse number 125, which says,
00:32Invite all to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them and reason with them in the ways that are best, most gracious.
00:45Here Allah is saying to the Muslims, Invite all to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them in the ways that are best, most gracious.
00:56Allah says in the glorious Quran, in Surah Al-Imran, chapter number 3, verse 110, Allah says,
01:03O Muslims, ye are the best of peoples, you are all for mankind.
01:12Allah is giving us an honor.
01:15He is calling us Muslims as Khaira Ummah, the best of peoples, you are all for mankind.
01:23Allah is giving us an honor.
01:25Whenever there is honor, it is always followers of responsibility.
01:29For example, in a school, a principal has got more honor than a teacher.
01:36A teacher has got more honor than a clerk.
01:39Similarly, in a school, the principal has got more responsibility than a teacher.
01:47A teacher had got more responsibility than a clerk.
01:50There is no honor without responsibility.
01:52So in this verse of the Quran, in Surah Al-Imran, chapter 3, verse 110,
01:56Allah is calling us Muslims as Khaira Ummah, the best of peoples.
02:01Don't you think we have a responsibility?
02:03The reply is given in the same verse.
02:05Allah continues and says,
02:06Because we enjoy what is good and we forbid what is wrong and we believe in Allah.
02:16Allah is calling us Khaira Ummah because we Muslims are supposed to enjoy what is good and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.
02:25If we do not enjoy what is good and if we do not forbid what is wrong, we aren't fit to be called as Khaira Ummah.
02:33We aren't fit to be called as Muslims.
02:36Doing Dawah, conveying the message of Islam to non-Muslim is a farad.
02:40And Allah says in Surah Al-Asr, chapter number 103, verse number 1 to 3, it is known as Rahe Nijjad, the path to salvation.
02:49Allah says,
02:50Allah is taking the oath of time and he's saying, by the token of time,
02:58Man is verily in a state of loss, in khasara.
03:04Except those who have four criteria, except those who have faith, iman, those who have amal-e-saliha, the righteous deed,
03:17those who exhort people to truth that is doing Dawah and Islam,
03:22and those who invite people to patience and perseverance.
03:26So according to Surah Al-Asr, for any human being to go to Jannah, there are many more four criteria required.
03:33Iman, righteous deed,
03:36watawa sawabil haq,
03:37inviting people to truth, that is Dawah,
03:39and inviting people to patience and perseverance.
