00:00As a Christian, God will not permit you to face a test.

00:09He does not equip you to pass.

00:14But whenever God teaches a lesson, there is always an area to adjust.

00:30Grace and peace to you, all children of God, in Jesus' mighty name.

00:48Today, I want to address a common misconception among some believers today.

00:57And I will explain it using a very simple illustration.

01:05You are folding your hands and expecting blessings to fall down.

01:15Or I can put it like this.

01:17You are sitting down and expecting blessings from heaven to just land in your lap.

01:32Think about that, people of God.

01:35There's a common phrase among many Christians that I'm waiting on the Lord.

01:45That is, I'm waiting for the fulfillment of God's promises in my life.

01:53You hear people say, I'm waiting on the Lord for my destined marriage partner.

01:58I'm waiting on the Lord for that financial breakthrough.

02:02I'm waiting on the Lord for that job opening.

02:06I'm waiting on the Lord for career promotion.

02:10The question I have for you today is this.

02:15As you are waiting on the Lord, are you waiting in the Lord?

02:31Because your attitude while you wait reveals why you wait.

02:41I'm waiting on the Lord for my destined marriage partner.

02:49But are you isolating yourself from godly friendship where iron sharpens iron

03:00and the maturity necessary for marriage can be learned?

03:05I'm waiting on the Lord for my destined job.

03:12But are you sitting at home, alone, daydreaming, busy, wasting time watching the lives of others

03:25rather than living yours?

03:27I'm waiting on the Lord in my education to get into that university, to further my education.

03:41But are you using the resources at your disposal to study hard in the field of your choice?

03:52To equip yourself with more practical experience, to prepare you to excel.

04:01Or you hear people say, I'm waiting on the Lord for that financial breakthrough.

04:06Then I will settle my debts.

04:08I will be able to pay off my debts.

04:10But what are you doing with what is in your hands today?

04:22Remember what I said.

04:29Don't fold your hands and expect a blessing to fall into them.

04:39God's blessings are not a lottery we win by luck.

04:58Think about that.

05:00The promises of God work in line with the principles of God.

05:05God, divine provision, may break man-made protocols.

05:12But his provision will not violate divine protocols.

05:17God will not shift his standards to suit your fantasies.

05:25No.

05:28Are you watching this right now?

05:30And perhaps you are in debts.

05:36Can I give you a word of advice?

05:43Responsible management is the fertile ground for a financial miracle.

05:53Prayer alone is not enough.

05:58It must be coupled with godly stewardship.

06:04And that begins with what is in your hands today.

06:09For whoever is faithful in the little will be faithful in much.

06:16Luke 16, verse 10.

06:19People of God, the reason I'm talking about this principle is because if you are waiting on the Lord without waiting in the Lord,

06:35you will waste your time.

06:37You will waste your weight.

06:42For it is preparation that determines whether you meet or miss divine opportunity.

06:54this is what i want to talk about today and i'll title this message don't waste your weights

07:04do not waste your weights because the waiting room is a training ground

07:15in the waiting god is working he is working all things together for your good but also he is

07:27working in you to get you ready for what you are waiting for

07:34that's why a time to wait is not a time to waste

07:43a time to wait is not a time to be idle

07:47remember what happened to the people of israel in exodus 32 verse 1 they wasted their weights

07:58when moses was on the mountain with god not only were they idle they ended up building an idol

08:13if you wait without faith it will end up as a weight a weight on your spirit

08:20you will be weighed down by worry weighed down by comparison weighed down by anxiety

08:29weighed down by frustration and people of god getting frustrated does not legitimize being

08:42impatient because life's biggest mistakes happen due to impatience and let me give you an observation

08:54complaints complaints are easily found on the lips of the frustrated

09:01a word of warning if you are whining while waiting it is wasted you're complaining busy complaining

09:13i'm a christian i'm a child of god why is this happening to me why is this not come at the time i

09:20expected this blessing has come to this person but it's not yet come to me why

09:29your complaints before man reveals your condition before god

09:39natural complaints indicate spiritual restraints people of god

09:50not only complain about the pain of a problem they also complain about the process of the solution

10:09you complain

10:14you complain

10:16not because of the presence of a problem but because of the absence of peace

10:24if the source of your comforts is your situation it will also be the cause of your complaints

10:33and as christians

10:38as the scripture says in philippians chapter 2 we have to do everything without complaining

10:47you can have a complaint in your life without a complaint on your lips

10:52you can have a complaint without complaining

10:56how you bring that concern to god you don't bring that complaint to man

11:04if you wait in faith

11:10you will not complain even if the process involves pain

11:16that something is painful does not mean it is pointless yes there may be pain in the waiting

11:37but see your pain from the perspective of its purpose and it will surely turn to gain in god's time

11:54as a christian who waits in the lord you know this what looks like delay is actually preparation

12:05what seems like disappointments is really preservation

12:14so that when the blessing comes it will not become a burden when the progress the promotion comes

12:23it will not corrupt your purity

12:27i want you to reflect on this perhaps you're connected to this

12:37message right now and there's an area of your life which looks like delay

12:45you're waiting on the lord for something you're waiting for the fulfillment of god's promise

12:50yes i want you to know this as a christian god will not permit you

13:01to face a test he does not equip you to pass

13:08but whenever god teaches a lesson there is always an area to adjust

13:15our unwillingness to adjust our unwillingness to adjust not only prolongs our problems it expresses our pride

13:32what you are waiting for god to give may be waiting for you to grow

13:41some people are there thinking i'm waiting for god to act whereas there's an area you need to adjust

13:53there's an area you need to address he is waiting for you to act he will not come down from heaven

14:02and do for you what you must do yourself when it comes to the things of god

14:12that something looks delayed does not mean it is late no that something seems to be stalled does not

14:22mean it has stopped we may waste our time god never wastes his

14:32as i said at the beginning of this message

14:34if you fold your hands don't expect blessings to fall down

14:47to position yourself to receive from god

14:51you must open your hands and open your hearts your hands must be active your hearts must be alert

15:03work as if everything depends on you pray as if everything depends on god prayer is not a replacement for

15:12hard work no it is an encouragement to hard work with a right attitude

15:22how can you know you have a right attitude how can you know you are waiting in the lord

15:31when you are content without what you are waiting for

15:43if you are content without it

15:46it is the surest sign spiritually that you are ready for it this is a secret of life people of god i'm

15:58not saying you are content with your situation you are content despite your situation the secrets of

16:07of satisfaction in life lies in never being satisfied with your spiritual attainments

16:18if you keep pressing spiritually you will stop stressing

16:24you will stop stressing naturally because when god is involved it is always worth the weights

16:35yes people of god a life founded a life grounded on the solid rock of god's word

16:47is as fruitful as he is faithful

16:54i want to end this message by reading a word of wisdom from the psalmist david in psalm 37 let's read

17:07together reflect on these wise words i will start from verse one do not fret because of evil doers

17:19nor be envious of the workers of iniquity for they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither

17:31as the green herb

17:36trust in the lord and do good dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness

17:45delight yourself also in the lord and he shall give you the desires of your hearts

17:55commit your way to the lord trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass

18:04he shall bring forth your righteousness as the lights and your justice as the noon day

18:10rest in the lord and waits patiently for him do not fret because of him who prospers in his way

18:21he shall bring forth his way because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass

18:32cease from anger and forsake wrath do not fret it only causes harm

18:45children of god

18:52don't waste your weights may god bless his word in the midst of our hearts in jesus name

19:03right now let us pray

19:11what is that mountain

19:16standing between you and the fulfillment of god's promises in your life

19:24i say to that mountain right now be removed in jesus name be removed in the name of jesus christ

19:38what is rubbing you of contentment peace of hearts

19:45that's every tangled web of lies woven by the devil through envy rivalry comparison jealousy be torn down

20:00be torn down in jesus mighty name

20:03that waits on your spirits

20:13hindering you from waiting well be lifted be lifted be lifted that burden on your soul

20:24the burden of worry the burden of anxiety be lifted in jesus name

20:33every spirits behind laziness

20:45and procrastination come out today come out in the name of jesus christ

20:54what is it that has taken you to debts receive the kind of breakthrough to take you out of it

21:03out of it out of that debt in jesus name

21:12your future begins with what is in your hands today let there be stewardship

21:24let there be accountability

21:28let there be management in jesus mighty name

21:41right now

21:41i speak to that hearts that restless hearts receive the rest that only the promises of christ can bring
