A young journalist decides to delve into the past of his father, now on his deathbed and with whom he had severed contact years earlier, to find information on an old friend of his father's who is a candidate for canonization: Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, founder of Opus Dei. The journalist will thus shed light on events related to the childhood and youth of the two men, which took place against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War.
