00:29Bagu Khan, also known as Samandar Chacha, has now been killed.
00:33Bagu Khan was based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, POK, since 1995.
00:40My colleague Meer Fareed is now joining me.
00:43On the story, Meer, this is good news for our Indian forces.
00:47This is a big blow to the terror networks that were being run by Pakistani-occupied Kashmir.
00:51This is a blow to the logistical network of the terror outfits.
01:00Now, Bagu Khan, as you said, he was also known as Samandar Chacha, was active from the last 25 years.
01:07So sources in the security grid tell us that he had facilitated more than 100 infiltration bits, and the majority of whom were a sucker.
01:15So that really tells you how important ECOG he was as far as the infiltration plans of various terror outfits are concerned.
01:24And for the last 25 years, one after the other, there were many operations that the security forces planned against him.
01:30But he managed to do it, because he had quite intimate knowledge of this tough terrain of Kuraizh,
01:36gave secret routes, and always managed to give a slip to the security agencies.
01:39But finally, his luck ran out.
01:41On the 28th, when he was trying to bring in another group, he was intercepted by the army along with his group.
01:48There was a firefight, and in this too, including Bagu Khan and one more, probably Lashkar Kader, was gunned down.
01:55And as the belongings and as his identity was ascertained, security forces found that he was the man they were looking for for the last almost, or in fact, more than two decades.
02:06So big blow to the logistical network and also to the infiltration plans of various outfits.
02:13So he was with the Hezbollah Mujahideen, who was the top commander.
02:16But as I said, he was acting as the key facilitator for all the terror groups as they tried to do infiltration.
02:22Now, this operation is in its third day, and the security forces are scanning the forest area very close to the encounter side to see that there are others also.
02:31And just to be sure that the area is completely scanned, sweeped, and no one is allowed to really come to this side or reach the hinterland.
02:40Ashwari.
02:41Thank you, Mir, for giving us all those details.
02:44Big win for the forces in the Kuraizh encounter.
