00:54or academic conference on the differences

00:57between British and American humor.

01:02we would delve into the history of British comedy,

01:06the history of American comedy, what made it so,

01:09and just talking to Jamie Dimitriou about...

01:15and watching Andy Samberg and Jamie Dimitriou talk about...

01:18it was like... I felt like I was at a conference in the best way.

01:24It's like watching like a comedy Oppenheimer in a way.

01:27Without the explosions of the death.

01:29And all of the boring bits in between.

01:33I mean, he's responsible for some of the funniest movies of my upbringing.

01:40What was his like... his working mechanisms like?

01:44Because I guess when you're working with talent like you guys,

01:46you've got to give you a bit of rope in a way,

01:48rather than like reining you in so much.

01:50That's exactly his... like his best attribute, I think.

01:53The rope that he gives and the gentleness that he affords.

01:58And he really just gets a kick out of people

02:01and lets them tickle themselves.
