A Dresde en Allemagne la semaine dernière. John Rudat, un Américain de 21 ans, a été agressé et gravement blessé alors qu’il tentait de protéger deux jeunes femmes attaquées dans un tramway. Originaire de l’État de New York, John Rudat qui est mannequin est intervenu pour porter secours à deux passagères menacées par deux hommes. L’un des agresseurs a sorti un couteau de 15 centimètres et a frappé John au visage. Le jeune homme a été grièvement blessé : son nez et sa lèvre ont été profondément sectionnés, une entaille qui a failli atteindre son œil.
Rapidement transporté à l’hôpital, il a subi une lourde opération et restera marqué par une cicatrice visible.
“Je porterai cette cicatrice avec fierté”, a-t-il confié dans une vidéo publiée sur Instagram depuis son lit d’hôpital.
L’affaire a suscité une vive émotion en Allemagne et aux États-Unis.
Un suspect syrien de 21 ans, connu des services de police pour des affaires de drogue, a été arrêté puis rapidement remis en liberté faute de preuves directes.
Cette libération a provoqué l’indignation du jeune Américain qui a dénoncé ce qu’il considère comme un problème d’insécurité et de gestion migratoire en Europe.
