00:00And let's stay in California where a parole board denied Eric Menendez parole on Thursday after 10 hours of virtual hearings.

00:09Eric was convicted alongside his brother Lyle Menendez in the notorious 1989 murders of their parents.

00:16They were originally sentenced to life in prison without parole but became eligible for release after a judge resentenced them this past May.

00:23The board said Eric Menendez continues to, quote, pose an unreasonable risk to public safety.

00:30The decision does not bode well, though, for Eric's brother Lyle, who has his parole hearing in the coming day.

00:37Regardless of any parole recommendation, California's governor has the final word on whether they'll be released or have to stay in prison.
