01:47ever since we're like oh i love your horse and you're like i love your horse yeah we just like
01:52the same things but what they love most is the high life i'm looking fab when you look good
02:01then you you feel good and looking this good doesn't come cheap just my hair appointments
02:07every four weeks come to around 250 pounds we are high maintenance but i don't see that as a bad thing
02:16sammy and her husband turn over millions selling classic cars to the super rich
02:20these cars they're just so sexy which funds her fairy tale life fit for a princess
02:26what is expensive in here pretty much everything this bath was three and a half thousand pounds
02:35i don't tend to look at the price tag neither does camilla breathe the energy out who makes a mint
02:44from her luxury wellness business miller in zoom soothing energy am i your breath of fresh air yeah
02:53she runs yoga retreats for a-listers in the world's most exclusive hotels i really love that you can
02:59transform people through yoga through sound healing as for holidays i prefer to fly business class
03:08should have put that on my phone shouldn't i phobia economy they drop a ton on exotic destinations
03:15dubai seychelles more daves and big ticket activities i do love a little bit of um adrenaline
03:23but some adventures are a step too far hand paintings you said a swear word pretty sure i heard a swear
03:30with communal bathroom absolutely not wouldn't ever ingratiate myself with the masses and what about
03:38sharing their break with two cash-strapped strangers we great to have people similar to ourselves that's
03:44not gonna happen although the universe does bring you together with people for a reason yes very yogi
03:52a hundred and sixty miles away in bristol can i have a pinot grigio please live budgeting besties hannah
04:01and lucy i met hannah on my fifth speed dating nights we didn't match with any of the men but we kind
04:06of matched with each other it was definitely friendship at first yeah definitely
04:15hannah has been a rock for lucy she's really helped bring a lot of humor back in my life we love
04:20a drink we love a dance we try and laugh as much as we can and have a good time
04:26kids breakfast is ready lucy is a stay-at-home single mom so it's just me surviving with three kids
04:35it's just always super super busy it's really good mom thank you she relies on benefits and after bills
04:42there's just 60 quid disposable income per week paula bang all right oh you're right pop it can be
04:51really difficult to sort of keep a happy face kids asked to do something where and i just haven't got
04:56the money and bye guys hard up hannah works shifts as a travel nurse for 16 quid an hour at the moment
05:04i'm only on a zero hour contract month to month i never really know what my monthly wage is going to
05:10be home is shared accommodation with 10 housemates it is cheaper than renting somewhere on my own but
05:18it can be quite busy and chaotic at times even on their breaks these two bezis don't get any me time
05:25all my holidays is centered all around the kids enjoyment i often stay in hostels because that makes
05:31it much much cheaper so if money were no object what's top of the wish list my dream holiday would
05:37be somewhere warm and sunny and somewhere without the children so i can fully relax but can they chill
05:44out on a holiday with two rich strangers i find when people are overly flashy or talk about their money
05:50you would struggle with that yeah oh my god yeah
05:52oh my goodness oh my god they'll all be sharing two very different holidays in the same country
06:02i'm just really excited to just see what's in there an exclusive five-star stay right up camilla and
06:08sammy street but first a bargain break to suit lucy and hannah's wallet stomach is churning
06:16okay okay you're going to morocco hey so far so good i'm reading and it's getting worse and worse
06:24budget campsite where you'll be bunking up in a camper van close to the bustling city of marrakesh
06:32camper van what is that well a bit like a horse box located on the northwest tip of africa
06:41morocco is a mainly muslim country almost twice the size of the uk welcoming a million holidaying
06:47brits a year it offers year-round sun a rich blend of arab berber and european cultures and a taste of
06:54the exotic whatever your budget first they'll holiday on the cheap in vibrant marrakesh famed for
07:02its lively main square and sprawling souks accommodation is a tiny camper van on a rough and ready campsite
07:09just outside the city budget campsite we're fine with that i'm so excited turns out i don't like
07:15words that begin with b budget bunking and bustling this is going to be a bummer
07:25it's day one and luxury travelers sammy and camilla have hit their first hurdle
07:30on earth does one pack to stay in a campsite it's campsite packing it's basic
07:40i'm so excited for this north africa here we come
07:46it's a four-hour flight to morocco and for high maintenance sammy it's a first taste of economy
07:53somebody who's really rather it's not right the couples will meet for the first time oh my god
08:00there's like loads of palm trees everywhere after they've checked out their campsite dicks
08:05you should get the driver twice the worst

08:27i reckon we we kind of termed this as rustic rustic charm that's what i'm going with but camilla's mind
08:33over matter approach this feels like the beginning of a nightmare and it's a holiday
08:39is lost on sammy if i'd have booked and paid for this holiday i would have been turning around
08:44straight away and finding somewhere else oh my no it's not no that's not a camper van that's a transit van
08:52the camper van is a snug three by two meters well that's where are we both gonna sleep
09:05oh maybe this pulls out into a double bed how double bed are you having a laugh i've got singles
09:10bigger than this indoors i can't even stand up in this thing this is like my worst day
09:17oh my god no there is no way on god green earth that you or me are going in this
09:34while the rookie campers search out a bathroom upgrade this is nice
09:39season pro lucy and best mate hannah settle in see our home for the week

11:09but they seem really nice really friendly seem like you know what you're doing yeah
11:14we're pros at all this this is what we need yeah we can give you all the right advice
11:18we have got a little something for you what do we have for the first half of the week camilla and
11:24sammy will have to survive on lucy and hannah's spending money your budget for food and activities

11:37okay camilla's jaw just hit the floor i think she was not expecting that i think that they
11:42have ever had to budget for anything so that's 130 divided by two yeah
11:49yeah yeah i don't have any idea how that is gonna spread over this holiday
11:56we go on holiday on a budget quite often and so we know how to kind of like be a bit creative with
12:02our money as long as you're willing to sort of embrace everything yeah and get really stuck in to
12:07make your money stretch you might get a real love for it and then you might become a campsite barbie
12:13yeah i think we've got a lot of convincing yeah such lovely girls we are holidaying with
12:22if i could leave out the camping site bit it would be better i don't think they'll survive the night

12:46coming up welcome to the chaos people welcome to the madness the camping crew get a taste of morocco
12:54it's got the teeth and everything in it and camilla and sammy ditch their thoroughbreds
12:59that was not glamorous
13:08two hard-up besties africa here we come are showing a posh pair of globetrotters i wouldn't ever
13:16ingratiate myself with the masses how to holiday on a budget 130 pounds i'm wondering why i've done this
13:24and can i go home it's the first morning in marrakesh so looking forward to today just to
13:34explore yeah i'm very excited as well and the first time camilla and sammy have ever woken up in a camper van
13:44in the back of the van with the with luggage sammy is in the front with the gear stick in the steering
13:49room waking up in all of her glory keeping with the handbrake in a place that i wouldn't want a
13:56handbrake yeah it's been an education here we go another envelope but there's more to learn
14:05as they're about to find out what budget activities they've got in store soaking up the sights sounds
14:11and smells of marrakesh is medina oh it's completely free isn't it yeah but we haven't bought anything
14:21yet yeah oh my god budget camel adventure oh what's a budget camel adventure okay okay
14:34sampling local street food uh that that's a challenge for me when in morocco i think you've just got to try
14:40these things i'm really not looking forward to street food but i'm really looking forward to
14:47getting off the campsite and going into marrakesh yeah it was an absolute no no it's definitely not fine
14:56dining that's for sure first on the itinerary the old city of marrakesh welcome to the chaos people
15:06welcome to the madness a unesco world heritage site and home to the famous jamaar elfanar square
15:13this bustling marketplace is bursting with street vendors exotic animals and food stalls are you feeling
15:20hungry i know it's a bit out of your comfort zone absolutely yeah we can convince you that this is the
15:28best way to eat on a budget hopefully camilla and sammy think nothing of dropping 200 quid on a meal out
15:35but for lunch today there's just four pounds each no mind doesn't matter like we always say manifest
15:42manifest great food amazing wellness yeah oh i think we should try this place okay okay so what have you got
15:50here this is sheep's head coming in on budget the sheep's head is a traditional moroccan dish that's
15:59charred over coals then steamed with onions my god okay it's got the teeth and everything in it
16:07it's a delicacy here it's what the locals eat i think it's nice to try and experience it
16:14you never know you might look at and think oh i really want to try this i feel really lightheaded
16:24do you yeah yeah can zen camilla channel enough positive energy to get through a lunch
16:32i did just meditate i just do a little bit of breath work i am imagining my egg and banana pancake with
16:39my mananuka honey and my organic berries are you not tempted camilla
16:46camilla felt faint sammy felt ill they were not keen at all me and hannah wanted to immerse ourselves
16:53in the local culture you know this is what we love to do what's the skin taste like oh my god did you
17:02just say that the skin is a bit sort of gristly but it's not oh my god it's not horrible and still
17:08smell that smell i mean that was vile feeling a little bit disappointed that sammy and camilla
17:17didn't manage touch the plate or go near it it's a shame we're actually looking forward to getting back
17:22to our bag never thought those words would ever leave my mouth next on the holiday agenda
17:30i'll just go spend loads of money a deep dive into marrakesh's maze of vibrant markets where tourists
17:38flock to buy handcraft ceramics rugs and leather gods just want to buy everything but on lucy and
17:46hannah's budget they'll need to show restraint because we're more like window shopping aren't we like oh that
17:51looks lovely that looks nice but we have a quick chat about it and we carry on walking okay you
17:56need flip-flops i need flip-flops looks like window shopping's out the window they're nice all the
18:04pretty colors some of those are cute i like okay so this is the shop for me definitely as the universe
18:11provides camilla with the perfect flip-flop shop i agree i really like those and i genuinely need
18:18need to be this is a need shop she has got some other lovely flip flops with her so i'm not quite
18:23sure why she felt she needed them so much do you have these ones please yes how much are they
18:31first i would make it for 450 oh it's like really great that we're really trying to say to them you
18:39haven't got the money in your budget what about food yeah we would we would buy shoes and stuff
18:46230. okay camilla's impulse buy makes an 18 pound dent in their limited budget i'm very happy with these
18:55little beauties they're gonna get lots of wear draining almost all their spending money for the day
19:02they've just done their own thing and just spent what they like if we can save our money and we can
19:07spend wisely then why can't they really shows how different our lifestyles are
19:16it's a new morning in camp let's go and next on the activity list the pairs are settling up
19:23super excited about camel riding very excited i love it i've done it so many times um in dubai and abu
19:29dubai how far is the sahara desert from marrakesh camilla and sammy would normally pay top dollar for
19:37an authentic camel ride in rolling sun jeans about 19 miles south of marrakesh that's doable we're going
19:45to the sahara i'm actually much more excited now sahara desert here we come right uh not exactly this
19:54budget camel ride is just a couple of miles away on the edge of marrakesh
19:57what do we think then girls you no the sahara sahara welcome to your budget camel experience
20:07thank you you probably would describe this as a scrubland you'll still get to ride a camel oh my god
20:16sammy and camilla were sort of hoping to be welcomed with mint tea and rugs and kind of like
20:23a glamping type experience last time sammy went on a camel it cost over 100 pounds more than lucy's
20:31weekly rent here it's just 20 quid i really want to show them you can make things a bit cheaper
20:38and and actually have a really good time
20:48that was not glamorous
20:55sammy your one is groaning all the way i know i don't know what a problem is i've got a moody man
21:00that makes two of them can't lie i was not happy the whole point of the trip
21:09is just sort of getting really involved they're on our holiday so i'm hoping they show willing
21:14show enthusiasm and just get stuck in there are no sand dunes time for camilla to tap up her inner
21:22chakra the power of the visualization power of the mind oh look over there maybe that could be
21:28considered a sand dune but amazingly all it takes is a few little ones hi darling look there's a baby one
21:39i'm so happy that there's all these little babies to get over the hump it was just really magical wasn't it
21:46it was magical it wasn't quite the sahara but i didn't notice any of that because i was just so
21:51absorbed in our experience and our camels miss grumpy one and there's happy sammy grumpy just
22:01really enjoyed it yeah i think sammy and camilla really tried today just goes to show though that
22:08you can have an amazing time on a budget camel budget riding is really amazing
22:14batima oh no she's like she wants to be on the luxury one yeah
22:28it's the final evening in marrakesh and with no money left in the budget it's an early night for
22:34the campus they really got into it actually didn't absolutely and i think we're finally getting
22:39through something about that you can holiday on a budget and you can holiday well exactly
22:44hold that thought i don't want another sleepless night last night i have spotted there's a couple
22:50of cabins on the campsite that's really naughty
22:56i actually called it taking the initiative
23:00i do feel a bit bad without telling their holiday pals the pair ditched the van for a basic bedroom above
23:07the campsite loo block i mean it's not the greatest is it but it's fabulous fabulous it's only 25 quid but
23:19with no budget left oh it smells amazing oh that is heaven they've had to dip into their own pockets
23:27for a decent night's kit
23:29it's the last morning before the switch up to the rich holiday
23:36look at that starry i know quick that's good but will camilla and sammy come clean
23:43hey have a good night we had a good night sleep
23:52but it wasn't in the van we had to make a little change
23:58okay for the for the health and well-being right there's the little bedrooms up above the communal
24:05showers and toilets so we flipped up there
24:08yeah we were kind of feeling that they were really getting on board with the whole experience
24:15for them to kind of go off and stay in a room it is a little bit disappointing really
24:20we didn't use any of the budget because it's done right already yeah we paid them to add our own money
24:27you've used your own money to do that which me and hannah wouldn't ever have that option
24:32we would always have to do the budget ban and kind of put up with it even if it was uncomfortable
24:39yeah we did feel really guilty can't lie but it didn't stop us doing it
24:44so how much did it all cost total bill for your holiday is
24:51940 pounds wow that is like amazing everything that we've done i mean yeah great value so does it
25:00show you that you don't need to have money to have a good time absolutely and although this hasn't been
25:05ideal i will still take away fond memories thank you thank you but now the journey continues yay

27:36the cost of a two-week family camping holiday for lucy this is beautiful this is almost as big as my
27:43whole house look how big the bathroom is oh my goodness i can't believe that sammy and camilla
27:52to this as they're just their normal holidays this is just mind-blowing these petals everywhere yeah
28:00this place is so luxurious you get all the beautiful products to use in the bathroom
28:05never had that before on holiday this is gorgeous
28:13oh my god full-length mirror oh my goodness we're so missed a full-length mirror
28:19so relieved to see toilet roll oh yes thank you oh my god it's clean it's beautiful there's gorgeous
28:31surroundings it just smells amazing everywhere this will definitely definitely do
28:38oh why just seeing all of this and realizing that we're actually gonna stay here yeah this is how
28:50the other half lives this is definitely how the other half live yeah when i walked in i just felt like
28:56this is just a whole nother world it really doesn't feel real right now
29:08on this break lucy and hannah will live like a-listers
29:16so they're ditching their usual cans of cider for a bottle of shampoos at 220 pounder pop
29:22tastes like i don't want to neck it all in one go we're getting a real taste for how sammy and camilla
29:31just splash the cash over 220 pounds for a bottle of champagne that's almost what i pay for a week's
29:39rent at home it's the first morning of the luxury holiday i mean everything is just
29:48serene and the mountain views have restored camilla's zen i feel like we're going to float
29:55through the next few days for lucy and hannah and we're waking up in paradise it really is paradise
30:02a welcome lie-in back home busy mum lucy would have got three kids up fed and out of the door by now
30:10it's a whole nother level of relaxation yeah definitely
30:13no bacon and eggs here oh wow oh my god the ladies are kick-starting their day with an indulgent and
30:24super healthy brekkie this is beautiful oh i can't wait bon appetit ladies i mean there's a lot of fruit
30:34a lot of avocado not really my thing on this five-star trip lucy and hannah will indulge in the kind of
30:43activities camilla and sammy can afford absolutely gorgeous but first some words of wisdom to help us
30:51really embrace the experience we have got some little guidelines okay yeah we would love you to
30:59holiday as as we would usually holiday allow yourself to relax unwind and embrace the experiences
31:08okay how does that sound to you both yeah we'll try and relax okay
31:15our holiday activities are a haman chomas i'm really looking forward to being feeling a bit pumped
31:23a sunrise yoga and sound healing with camilla yay she sounds fun oh my goodness paragliding
31:36not normally sort of an adventurous kind of extreme sports person but stick off the list
31:43something stick off the list yeah it's so far removed from what me and hannah do for holidays
31:49early morning yoga and paragliding not my cup of tea at all it's spa time we're ready on the luxury list
32:02a traditional moroccan clay treatment at the hotel's hammam both camilla and i spend lots of time in spas
32:10and it is something that is a necessity when we go on holiday my best day
32:15with a price tag of 50 pounds per person it smells lovely it's more than lucy spends on beauty products
32:24in a year do you want for your friends yeah yeah it's right yeah wherever yeah
32:30the only other time that i've been covered in that much mud is when i visited western supermare beach
32:36how amazing is that oh heaven oh did you love it absolutely oh look how great we all are
32:51for lucy this kind of pampering is a real one-off it was a really nice treat i loved it
32:58and well beyond her means back home a holiday like this gives me a lot of motivation towards
33:04getting a good career i'm trying to study for a degree in psychology so unfortunately i've
33:11currently accrued about 15 000 pounds in debt yeah it's really always at the back of my mind yeah
33:19i have had to rely on food banks in the past we've been through like the homeless system as well it's
33:26almost like a different level of stress and yeah darling a sort of worrying about not being able to
33:39feed your children yeah it was really upsetting you've just got to keep the end goal yes in sight i
33:47think the universe is really powerful if only positivity could pay the bills that would be a nice
33:52too i think they really really were shocked they get a real understanding of what life is like
33:59for us now it does make you just hope that the universe opens up and presents them with just
34:07love and luck and lottery win maybe
34:11and up the next morning left arm it's 6 a.m and camilla's yoga session has already begun and floor to
34:24the sides as we exhale to tadasana mountain pose but her new holiday buddies didn't get the memo
34:33morning ladies it's really beautiful out there it's going to be a really lovely start thank you
34:41it'll just be like a few minutes okay yeah
34:48doing early morning yoga on holiday is definitely not my thing
34:54yeah i was a bit grumpy not happy at all
34:56is this really what you do on a luxury holiday six o'clock normally every morning wow much before a
35:05lion and a fry up
35:10much pricier than a fried brekkie yoga teacher camilla normally charges 60 quid per head
35:17a whole month's worth of petrol for mom lucy good night everyone
35:27you can keep the duvet or would you like me to just remove it you can take the duvet if you wish
35:32yep i think at one point i'm annoyed it off so as you cat lift your tummy towards your spine and as
35:39you take cow and slowly walk the hands towards the knees exhale flow down
35:47visualize this beautiful river flowing through your body manifest what you wish to be your reality
35:53because that is where your visualization will come true so if i visualize a big stack of money will
36:00that come true yeah it's not really my thing i must stay thank you everybody
36:06i think they really embraced it and and really enjoyed it which makes me so happy once we were up we
36:15did enjoy it didn't we yeah we did enjoy it yeah it was outside mountain views yeah

37:25with a 400 pound price tag it's a high cost high octane experience not for the faint-hearted
37:32tell my children i love them paragliding is literally just running off the edge of a cliff
37:39with a little bit of material attached to you mind over matter mind over matter for adrenaline junkie
37:46camilla it's all in a day's holiday good luck camilla oh my gosh she's just gone up really high
37:55as the rest of the group follow her lead
38:02i'm starting to rethink some of my life choices before i go lucy's getting cold feet

38:52flying and it was so peaceful amazing scenery breathtaking views of the mountains i absolutely loved it
39:01as hannah lands 500 meters up i feel like lucy's no longer enjoying the view i'm feeling quite sick
39:14it's okay i'm gonna you want to stop coming on down camilla lands like a pro

39:39to be that hannah's a nurse so we'll just leave her
39:53when lucy took off oh my god like i could have cried i was just so proud of her
39:58her inner strength keeps shining through there were some times this morning where i thought i really might
40:03not do this i'm very proud of myself for doing it but i will never do that again in my life
40:09ticked off yeah lucy is one of the greatest people i know how she handled what happened was
40:16yeah amazing
40:21the week's almost over but before they leave there's a chance to reflect on the two different holidays
40:27and clear the air was there anything that you felt that me and hannah didn't really embrace with your
40:41luxury holiday here i think we were a little bit disappointed when we had to go and wake you guys
40:46up for early morning yoga okay i'll take that if you gave us an early morning wake-up call to take us to
40:52the spa you would have had a very different reaction how did you feel about holidaying on a budget i think
41:01really it was terrifying initially the toilets the van street food um basically everything about
41:10camping yeah wow i think leaving on the last night to go and to stay into the room bedroom that we'd
41:19know nothing about yeah that felt a bit like you were sort of abandoning the whole experience don't
41:25generally shy away from things but you know what sometimes there will be things kind of you you can't
41:30quite take on i hope i'm right in saying that we are now all friends yeah so how much is the luxury break
41:39cost okay ladies thank you please take a look okay the total bill for your holiday is ten thousand
41:50four hundred and six pounds so that's five thousand two hundred and three pounds for each pair a third of
41:56my debt on what on a holiday for us yeah i'm shocked it's more than ten times the price of the budget holiday
42:06i've really enjoyed staying here it's a beautiful place and it's been a lovely experience personally
42:14i would rather spend that money elsewhere it's almost home time can you believe we're leaving
42:22can i really miss this place it's been lovely but i have really missed the kids
42:25but before they go their separate ways hey ladies hi you're a little something it doesn't feel like
42:35much these will remind you of us and our lovely holiday that we've had yeah yeah

42:59we have a little something for you both we do okay you've spoken a lot about kind of having time for
43:05yourself which was a big aim with this holiday so what we've organized for you is to come to one
43:12of my retreats at the five star luxury country house manor hotel oh thank you yeah i don't know how
43:19to thank you yeah that is really really kind of you both thank you this whole experience has felt like
43:24a dream i think when i get home i'm not going to believe that we actually really did this for lucy i
43:31think the relaxing part of this holiday has really given her the boost that she needed and the fact
43:37we've done it together is lovely back in the uk back to bristol sad not to be morocco anymore and cold
43:51i had the most fabulous time our new friends lucy and hannah both of them were just so inspiring in
43:57their own ways i don't think money necessarily buys you a happier holiday money helps open like the
44:05chance to do more things but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's happier biggest thing that i will
44:11take away money is not a divider between friendships at all
