Alex Miller on Sheffield Wednesday's Wrexham fightback
Transcript
00:00Well good evening Alex Miller here outside Wrexham's racecourse ground where
00:05we've seen a fight back of huge proportions from Sheffield Wednesday
00:09again not just players on the pitch more on them later but the spirit from the
00:15away end just incredible really all afternoon never show up in that second
00:20half a really bright moment of solidarity solidarity I should say from
00:28the Raptors and supporters who have supported throughout with the black and
00:33gold movement and there'll be plenty more written on that in the next couple of days
00:38I assure you but for now the football and how that away and inspired the second
00:43half we know the the issues that Sheffield Wednesday have got in terms of
00:47numbers in terms of where the squads at with what happened in preseason Barry
00:53Bannon and Olaf Kabaki both came off in the second half with with cramp but they
01:00weren't the only ones suffering out there and that was a huge huge effort from
01:04Sheffield Wednesday from two goals down at halftime a first half where Wrexham
01:10just looked really threatening everything went through Kiefer Moore he was bullying
01:13the Wednesday defense and Wednesday just couldn't get any sort of grip in the game
01:18watching the players come off at the break they look beaten they look bruised and the
01:27body language was understandably quite downtrodden but to come back in the
01:36second half and deserve it and and they could have won it at the end they
01:39probably should have won at the end it's a great chance for Charlie McNeil very well
01:43worked counter-attack and that would have been the just reward for a fight back as I say
01:48that was that was completed by Terrace and on the pitch in terms of
01:54individual performances we've just spoken to Bader Kadamati who was outstanding
01:58again but to a man really that's a fight back from a pretty hairy first half it
02:05was a very good all-round performance Jan Valery operating in the middle of
02:10defense again came back from a couple of hairy moments battling Kiefer Moore in that
02:16first half Jamal Lowe came on to good effect Ike Ugbo who's obviously had his struggles last
02:21season in that second half you know he had some some good chances he wanted to put at least one
02:28of them away but he's shown for them he looks like a different player the one from last season
02:32and Barry Bannon just took control of that second half again after a quiet first half and changed the
02:41momentum of the game so yeah a afternoon full of stories at the racecourse ground you can grab
02:46them all at the star.co.uk as we go through the next couple of days catch you next time
