00:00So I switched out to the new Shrixon driver this year, I've been using the
00:06Shrixon driver since 2019 so this is my third different model of it so I feel
00:10like every year they keep getting better. The two fairway woods I've had I've had
00:13for four or five years at this stage and so I don't like changing my equipment
00:18too much. My irons I put them in at the end of last year it's just a new model
00:24iron the Shrixon I've come out with I think they're pretty similar to last
00:27years if I'm they're probably feeling a little bit more solid yeah like I said
00:31I don't like changing my equipment too much so when I find something I like I
00:34like to keep it. What happens when one of the guys comes up in new equipment and he
00:38wants to buy a new driver in the air and what happens then do you give it a go?
00:41So if it's a new if Shrixon come out with a new product I'll do my absolute best to
00:45get it in the bag and I'm generally pretty good at it and they know that so
00:49there hasn't been a time since I've started using the Shrixon driver that I've
00:52struggled to get in the bag so hopefully they can keep coming out with good
00:55drivers and I can do them. What about your wedge line up?
00:57I don't see a wedge line up I just carry I carry three a pitching wedge but that's
01:01part of the set but I I carry a gap wedge it's a 50 degree bent 51 and I've got a
01:0658 degree full face Cleveland wedge so it's there's a big gap there but I I try
01:12putting in a sand wedge like a 55 or 56 degree and it I find it takes away the
01:18feel from for me a little bit and I end up hitting every shot full out whereas when
01:22I've got that gap I can kind of play around with a little bit more and and be
01:26creative and that's that's how I like. And do you tweak with the the lineup as a
01:30whole too much on a week like this? Never no I mean this is my this be my this
01:35has been my setup for a few years now I had a two iron say I would have had a two
01:39iron in the bag in Portrush but to be honest the new long irons the three iron
01:44is is as good as a two iron and you know I can hit that low and it goes pretty good
01:48so there's no there's no point having a two iron that goes five or ten yards
01:52further you just you know I've got a five wood that three wood and what's your
01:55only sign is a three iron yeah is that quite rare these days to play as many
01:59players hitting three iron? I would say yeah but the way they build a club now they're
02:03designed to hit in the air like that three iron I can hit really in the air but I
02:06can also do really low as well and like a stinger shot with it it goes pretty good in
02:10the wind so. So that bag line up there it'd be the exact same every week yeah I
02:16don't know when you're playing in America Nick? Well I played in America two
02:19weeks ago and that's what it is so yeah. And what's it like being in Florida I
02:22remember speaking to you a couple years ago? Yeah I like it it's great look it's a
02:26great way of life down there to be honest I feel like it's helped improve my
02:29game I spend a lot of time with world-class players then they're playing
02:32golf and yeah yeah it's it's it's a great great place to practice you know I
02:37I think I love Ireland and I love being there and I'd love to live there but I
02:41just can't get done in Ireland like you get done in Florida so I I hadn't been
02:46home since Christmas I got back last week for the first time so yeah I don't get I
02:50don't get home as much as I would like. Well there's gonna be a lot of demands on
02:53your time now you're back in the UK this week thanks for speaking to you. Thanks for having me.
