00:00The Brave Boy of Swat Part 2
00:03In the lush green valley of Swat, nestled between the tall mountains and rushing rivers,
00:10lived a 12-year-old boy named O-San.
00:12He was known in his village for his boundless energy, love for nature, and an unusual courage for his age.
00:20No one could have imagined that this young boy would one day become the hero of his community.
00:25It was the monsoon season when dark clouds gathered over the valley.
00:29Days of heavy rain had swollen the river into a raging monster.
00:33The water thundered down from the mountains, sweeping away trees, bridges, and houses in its path.
00:40The villagers were terrified.
00:42Parents rushed to bring their children home, while elders gathered to pray for safety.
00:47On the morning of the flood, O-San heard cries echoing from across the river.
00:51He ran toward the sound and saw a heartbreaking sight.
00:54A group of children from the neighboring hamlet was trapped on a small piece of land surrounded by rising water.
01:00The river was swallowing everything around them, and the frightened children clung to each other, sobbing.
01:06The adults on the riverbank were helpless.
01:08The current was too strong, and no one dared to step into the violent waters.
01:13O-San's heart pounded.
01:14He looked at the terrified faces of the children, and then at the frightened villagers.
01:18Something stirred deep inside him.
01:21He could not just stand and watch.
01:24Without hesitation, O-San grabbed a long rope that was tied to a tree.
01:27He fastened it around his waist and shouted to the men nearby to hold the other end tightly.
01:32Don't let go!
01:33He yelled.
01:34Before anyone could stop him, he plunged into the icy torrent.
01:37The river pulled him with terrifying force, but O-San fought with all his strength.
01:42Push in against the waves, kicking toward the stranded children!
01:46The villagers shouted prayers, their eyes fixed on the boy battling the river.
01:51After what felt like an eternity, O-San reached the children.
01:54Don't be afraid!
01:56He said firmly, trying to sound braver than he felt.
01:59He tied the rope around the youngest child first and signaled to the men on the bank.
02:04Slowly, carefully, they pulled the child across to safety.
02:08Again!
02:09And again, O-San secured the rope around each child, sending them back one by one through
02:13the roaring flood.
02:14His body ached, his lungs burned, and the cold water numbed his arms.
02:19But he refused to give up.
02:21Finally, only one little girl remained.
02:24She was the smallest and clung tightly to O-San, crying.
02:29With all his might, he carried her against his chest as the rope pulled them back toward
02:32safety.
02:33When they reached the bank, the villagers rushed forward, lifting both O-San and the girl from
02:38the water.
02:39The children were safe.
02:41Their families wept with gratitude, hugging O-San and calling him their savior.
02:46Though exhausted and shivering, O-San smiled faintly, his heart filled with relief.
02:51From that day on, the people of Swat remembered the courage of the brave boy who risked his
02:57life to save others.
02:58In the face of the raging flood, O-San had proven that true heroism is born not from strength
03:05or age, but from the willingness to put others before oneself.
