00:00The next question.
00:05My name is Arman. I am from India.
00:08My question is, Islam has prohibited to shake hands with the opposite gender.
00:13Because in Islam, it is prohibited to touch a namaram.
00:17So my question is, can a man shake hands with a woman while wearing gloves?
00:23Please answer as soon as possible.
00:25The question posed by Arman is that it is prohibited in Islam for a man to touch a namaram woman.
00:32And he agrees with it. It's haram.
00:34But can he touch a woman after wearing gloves?
00:38Means if you are wearing gloves, can he shake hands with a woman?
00:41And we know the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is very clear.
00:45That the Prophet peace be upon him said,
00:46It is better to hammer a nail or a needle into the head rather than touch an namaram.
00:54The hadith is very strong, it's very bold, it's very direct.
00:59It is preferable to hammer a nail or a needle in the head rather than touch a namaram woman.
01:06So therefore touching namaram is completely haram.
01:08It is prohibited and it is not permitted.
01:12Regarding the question, that can you touch a woman wearing gloves?
01:15Now there are some hadith in which the Prophet is said to have shaken hands of ladies beneath a cloth.
01:26There are a few hadith.
01:27But all these hadiths are azaif.
01:29They are weak.
01:30There is no authentic hadith in which the Prophet ever shook hands with ladies.
01:34In fact, there are various hadiths of azaifah Mellah will be with her,
01:38who is the wife of the Prophet, saying that the Prophet in his life has never touched any namaram woman.
01:45So based on this, it is not permitted to shake hands with women.
01:49Neither is it permitted to shake hands wearing a glove.
01:52Because yet, even if you wear a glove and you shake hands, of course it's haram.
01:59There are going to be feelings.
02:00You cannot say nothing is happening to you.
02:02So it's not permitted to shake hands with glove or without glove.
02:06Both are prohibited.
