00:00After Trump's Zelensky meet in Washington, all eyes now on US, Ukraine and Russia trilateral meeting.
00:06Trump dials Putin for trilateral peace talks.
00:10Zelensky says no date yet for the trilateral meeting.
00:13Zelensky agrees for the trilateral meeting.
00:16Donald Trump says that he is arranging for a three-way peace meet between US, Russia and Ukraine.
00:23So that's the update that is coming in.
00:24The date has not been finalized for the trilateral meeting.
00:27But one thing is finalized, that it is going to happen.
00:31Rane, let's listen in to what Ukrainian President Zelensky said on the trilateral meeting.
00:37Is there a date for you to meet with President President President Biden?
00:40Date?
00:40Yes.
00:41No, no, we don't have any date.
00:43We don't have any date.
00:44We just conformed after this productive meeting with President and then with all our colleagues,
00:53with partners, we conformed that we are ready for trilateral meeting.
00:56And if Russia proposed to President of the United States bilateral and then we will see there the result of bilateral and then it can be trilateral.
01:08So I said always so, Ukraine will never stop on the way to peace and we are ready for any kind of formats but on the level of leaders.
01:17And India Today Global's Pranay continues to stay with us.
01:22Pranay, the trilateral meeting has been finalized but the date has not been finalized.
01:26Could it be this month itself?
01:28As indicated by U.S. President Donald Trump, this meeting could take place very soon.
01:35He did not indicate, he didn't mention any specific date because that needs to be worked out by both the sides.
01:41The officials have to work out the arrangement for it.
01:44And also, as indicated by the Ukrainian President, that he is also not shying away from any trilateral meeting but it has to be at the level of the leaders.
01:55Because, you know, Ukraine wants this sovereign guarantee, Ukraine wants assurance at the level of the leaders that he wants, Ukraine's president wants, wanted the Russian President Vladimir Putin to assure this is not going to happen again.
02:09And also, as whatever, you know, arrangement happens, whatever agreement happens, that has to be guaranteed by the leadership and also that has to be negated because U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that he would be there, though he wanted both the leaders to agree on these things.
02:29And if they want, U.S. can be there, President Donald Trump could be there in the meeting, but later he indicated and he said in a statement that, you know, he has to be there because he wanted this war to end and that's why he is working out all these arrangements.
02:46He held a productive meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska and thereafter.
02:51Now, he held this productive meeting with Ukrainian President as well as the European leaders as we were talking, Anjali, that, you know, in this entire conflict or any possible C-swap formula, the key issue remains the security guarantee for Ukraine.
03:08Also, the territorial swap, that, you know, currently Russian forces are holding around 20% of the Ukrainian territory.
03:16Russia wants the entire Donbass region and also some of the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhia.
03:24So, will Ukraine be ready to yield this much of territory because initially, you know, Ukraine all wanted any possible solution for the vacation with the vacation of Ukrainian territory because Ukraine, President Zelensky, you know, posted on the social media timeline that the security guarantees were also given to Ukraine in 1994 as well.
03:49The budget did not hold any, you know, any matter or any place and thereafter, in 2014, Crimea was taken away from Ukraine and thereafter, you know, Russia used it as a springboard and thereafter, in 2022, more territory was smashed from Ukraine and now, if Ukraine is being asked to give away that territory,
04:12then this has to stop because it's about the Ukrainian territorial integrity and Ukraine wants assurance, Ukraine wants a sovereign guarantee and also a security guarantee that there has to be, you know, there has to be some arrangement.
04:28Though US President Donald Trump indicated, however, he also mentioned that, you know, a NATO intrusion of Ukraine is not possible because,
04:38and Ukraine also has to give up the idea of intrusion in NATO, this time, President Zelensky was, you know, he was, you know, seemed to be agreeable to these propositions and he wanted to stand on the side of US President Donald Trump.
04:58So, these are the key important takeaways, but as far as the next date of meeting is concerned, all the sides are trying to work out the date of a trial of the meeting as soon as possible.
05:07Right. Prane, do stay with us. So, the Trump-Zelensky meet happened in Washington. All eyes are now on the trilateral meeting that has been finalized in this meeting,
05:17which will happen between US, Russia and Ukraine. Trump, in fact, dialed Russian President Putin for the trilateral peace talks and Russia and Ukraine both have agreed for it,
05:27although the date has not been finalized.
05:29finalized.
05:30finalized.
