00:00:40injuries you heard from carl hooper campbell and samuel so that there was no other batsman no other
00:00:46option for them to use and they decided to go with the leg spinner ramnerine rather than
00:00:51one of the other fast bullers they've got here who are cory colormore and daryl brown so ramnerine
00:00:58the leg spinner is in that's the only change in the west indies team good morning to the wheels
00:01:05and pakistan is making a predictable change naveed latif making way for shahid afridi naveed latif
00:01:13as buka youness pointed out that he was not very comfortable at the wicket shahid afridi
00:01:19not with his batting talent but he can be used as a leg spinner and he can be a handy cricketer
00:01:25here's the first ball and that's a very very good one to start off with
00:01:35from merv dylan right through toffee kumar it's a beautiful delivery first up to an opening batsman
00:01:48business area when it comes to uh the left hand batsman there's a bit of moisture in the wicket

00:02:30must have swung just a little bit too much for umpire shakil khan good delivery

00:04:09so ganga takes a very sharp catch at short leg that's the kind of catching the west indies would
00:04:13have wanted in the first test match and that's a very good catch dylan strikes bat and pad
00:04:19and the breakthrough has been made with toffee kumar going with the score at 12 for one
00:04:25outwitting the opening batsman mavin dinnel feeding him with the deliveries which were moving away from
00:04:32him and on this occasion the ball came back and toffee kumar was looking to play that delivery towards
00:04:40extra cover that was the mistake shut the face of the bat getting an inside edge
00:04:46west indies making early inroads pakistan 12 for one
00:04:52younis khan now comes in to replace toffee kumar
00:04:59my goodness that could have gone anywhere comes off an inside edge and goes for four he wasn't
00:05:04certain about that at all but he gets off the mark with the boundary
00:05:08edge through the slips down to the boundary for four he went hard
00:05:17ryan hines throwing himself to his right couldn't make the catch it was really traveling it was high
00:05:23but it was an edge and it's gone for four pakistan 20 for one

00:19:43off stump line short balls but shahid afridi played totally across in this delivery short you
00:19:52are looking to pull it through the mid wicked region
00:19:55and got bold well that's the line that you want to be bowling not necessarily length i think it was
00:20:01a bit too short shahid afridi not playing a very good shot at all but the end of a very good knock from
00:20:06shahid afridi is second test century 202 for two pakistan lovely touch player
00:20:22that's beautiful replay found the gap timed it superbly and all the way for four that's a superb shot
00:20:29from uniskan to end off the over at 209 for two
00:20:33good shot that's going to get in game a bit that's a lovely shot in front of square on the offside
00:20:42plenty of time to play it and he put it away perfectly
00:20:53he's got that away as well plenty of time again to play square on the offside so four more

00:24:24beautifully bolden through jacobs beat everyone goes away for four runs so that's another chance for
00:24:35the west indies outside edge found jacobs lets it go first ball didn't see more a lot excited about the
00:24:44edge the west city feelers but yes definitely right through jacobs's legs
00:24:56decisive blow this time from yosef yohana always intended to play it in the air over mid wicket

00:27:54match whereas the western days found things very tough right from the moment carl hooper
00:27:59won the toss and inserted them in on what turned out to be a good batting track let's just refresh
00:28:03our minds of what has happened so far pakistan well they have safely placed a couple of hundreds from
00:28:09shayda fridi and unis khan and importantly for pakistan yusuf yohanna is batting beautifully
00:28:13on 47 with just 61 deliveries well the west Indian ball has struggled one wicket for mervyn dylan one
00:28:21for cameron kaffee and one for dinanas ram narayan who was punished by shayda fridi but later picked
00:28:26up a wicket well this still looks very good for batting let's go to our experts mike hazeman and
00:28:32michael holding who are out there to narrate the tale of the track wow did we see some great
00:28:38cricket yesterday let's check out the tale of the track now the first thing you got to remember is
00:28:43that carl hooper won the toss and asked pakistan to bat and then pakistan certainly rubs salt in the
00:28:48wounds by scoring it just under four runs and over and ending the day at 344 for three there are also
00:28:55some hot chances flying around and overall west indies missed six of them and sixty percent sixty
00:29:01percent of pakistan's runs were scored in boundaries and so far it's been a batsman's paradise
00:29:06now the west indies they've got some work to do today hey mikey do you fancy ball not at 48 mike
00:29:13perhaps 20 years ago and even then i wouldn't be in a hurry to come out and bowl on this pitch
00:29:17it's very very good the ball is coming onto the bat quite nicely the only thing i'm worried about
00:29:22though and this is just the second day are a few marks here that are in the danger area these marks
00:29:27these spring marks were obviously made from batsmen we saw the umpire warning a few batsmen yesterday
00:29:31about running on the pitch it's churning up just a bit still not serious yet the bowlers follow through
00:29:36as usual well wide of the danger area absolutely no problems if you forget about that you'll see that
00:29:41the pitch is in general condition very very good the ball is still coming onto the bat still no problems
00:29:47for the batsmen pakistan three four to four for three at the end of the first day one suspects that
00:29:52they'll come out and bat most of today conditions still ideal for batting not too short one with
00:29:58bowling with three four to four for three on the board
00:30:03it's a good start a little bit of movement perhaps off a little bit of a crack
00:30:08and also uh looks like the westerners players have taken the second new ball
00:30:19so they've got a strike early
00:30:25cries of catcher but it went quickly past carl hooper no real chance there
00:30:31flew away for four runs so seven off the first over this morning 351 for three
00:30:39and so far it runs for pakistan that ball flying again off the top edge of the bat
00:30:46unis can throwing everything at it well wide of carl hooper had no chance of getting there
00:30:52mervyn dillon getting a little bit excited again but if he had a first dip possibly
00:30:57in the air but it's going to race away for four
00:31:03and that's got through third man's got work to do it's going to be touch and go let's go four more
00:31:21carl hooper can afford to have a 7-2 field for him on so many occasions at the moment there is a
00:31:307-2 field as well three slips in place just two men on the one side
00:31:34well deserved by moving down he's tried hard and he's got an important breakthrough early on day two

00:31:44first delivery this morning came back quite sharply and again this one to yosef yohana excellent delivery
00:31:54again this new ball they needed it to do a bit of work it has played on yosef yohana again perhaps
00:32:02looking to just guide that ball down through the goalie region and the movement cramping him for
00:32:07room good bowling they needed that we get the rest in this yosef yohana not getting to three figures on
00:32:13this occasion three sixty four four four abdurizak is the next man in he's been sitting with the pads
00:32:19on for some time very very talented all around this man just 22 years of age he's got a secondary
00:32:25ball to contend with now that uh was a noise i don't think it was a nick though i knew there's
00:32:31darrell here and he's the one that counts out there 364 for four
00:32:41flashed away
00:32:44goes away for four he really took advantage of a ball too wide ready to bother him he had plenty of time
00:32:51and this is a nice easy pace pitch and it goes away for 373 for four
00:32:56he's not taking up anyone's space i can assure you there's plenty of it on the ground here what a
00:33:04lovely shot stood up straight and punched it through the offside
00:33:08that's a magnificent shot from abdul razak just emphasizing the quality of his batsmanship and
00:33:17also the quality of the pitch for batting full swing of the bat so he goes on to 11 383 for four
00:33:26as we see it again it's worth seeing it again too
00:33:30because that really was a classical back foot shot through the offside
00:33:41that's nicely put away by uniston a bit of width
00:33:45and that boundary will also bring his 150 what a knock from a very fine young cricketer
00:33:50he's career best being applauded by everyone here on the ground in the dressing room area
00:34:00very good knock very very good knock by uniskan came back out this morning with 131
00:34:08to his name and started all over again which he should
00:34:12up in the end this will be taken it's got to be out caught and yes safely done
00:34:20garan ganda made sure that he called early and so easy catch and uniskan departs
00:34:29attempted the same shot that he played against cameron coffee in the over four but this time i think the
00:34:35ball the angle of the delivery from pedro collins pushing it across the body of the right hander
00:34:41just made it a touch more difficult trying to drag that from outside of them across his entire body
00:34:48towards the onside just succeeding in spooning a simple catch for darren ganga another wicket
00:34:55for the west indies but the end of a very good knock from uniskan 393 for five pakistan
00:35:00rashad latif is a new batsman in
00:35:15he's had a wonderful time both with the gloves and with the bat very useful cricketer there you see
00:35:22that phenomenal innings in the first this match the first innings 150 and then quick fire 47 not out
00:35:32and he's off the mark it's very good cricket from russia overtures we learn them more runs five
00:35:39in the first innings no one really backing up ridley jacobs a little late in covering that throw from
00:35:48from brown
00:35:52just came onto the field as well brown as a substitute fielder that was very wide
00:36:01raises the 400 against the west indies this is becoming a a very familiar sight to western news
00:36:14in the field total of 400 pakistan with 493 in the first innings of the first test match
00:36:22sri lanka with scores of over 500 and over 600 in the recent series in sri lanka to maintain the kind
00:36:34of control which the west indies have managed to exert this morning fast bowlers dylan collins and
00:36:41cuffy have done a very good job and that's gone through the bowler
00:36:50early should have made the save off his own bowling won't go all the way to the boundary
00:36:55just uh trotting through for two might just have carried to the bull um yet caught him bold here hit
00:37:02pretty hard
00:37:03not quite perhaps but uh have a better look there here
00:37:13it was hit with immense power although it would be considered as a chance
00:37:22but there wasn't much reaction time for the for the baller russia latif giving everything behind that stroke

00:38:23just before lunch looking to build up a partnership and he himself was in very good form and really
00:38:30giving it on the platter here playing across the line across the spin he really had to clear karl hooper
00:38:36his position himself even that mid wicket earlier picked up in zamam al-hat with a stunner now get
00:38:41get rid of get rid of russia latif for 16 and four 16 for six pakistan
00:38:47it's a clean muster the off spinner the very talented off spinner is the next man in for pakistan
00:38:57he's had a full go at that he's got it over around about the second slip region high and wide no
00:39:03chance of any dismissal another four runs safely done in the end by abduraza the wits was there he's
00:39:09looking for the gap and it was created over the slip cord going hard at it slashing it hard and over

00:45:52now when i say limit that's a comparative term of course given the start they had at the

00:46:05have been the best of the bowlers dinanath ramblerine came back well today after the punishment
00:46:10he received yesterday three four hundred and thirty seven and pedro collins figures of one for 99 don't
00:46:16reflect uh the way he bowled because he bowled better than that but he hasn't got the figures and
00:46:21it always is no it's not always the case that uh the figures reflect the way a boulder has bowled
00:46:27there are the partnerships 190 then 70 then 92 and after that nothing too much for the pakistanis
00:46:43it's like sides a little bit loose and darren ganga has got off the mark officially
00:46:48oh there's a slip chris gal has gone down but luckily it was an early call from him

01:02:17number 11 for the west indies is pedro collins normally doesn't stick around too long
01:02:21there it is ox dump has been knocked back so it's all over the second test and charge has been won by
01:02:33pakistan quite convincingly supporters are very very happy mixed emotions of course in the change room area
01:02:40and pakistan have been outstanding here 170 run 171 runs i'll start that again 170 runs they won the first test by this one
01:02:51244 runs so it really is a wonderful job and congratulations to them and pedro collins has got his seventh duck
01:03:00pakistan is the master of getting rid of the tail enders in swinger flicking the pad went on to hit off stump
01:03:13like a number three hundred and fifty two for wakai yunas
01:03:20and russian thief looked very happy
01:03:22leaving a bit of gate between bad and bad and allowed the ball to hit the stumps
01:03:33so now one of the flags are flying high wakai yunas has finished perfectly here four for 44 off 10
01:03:38overs for him was that also did some serious damage and pakistan win by 244 runs and take the series
01:03:46the first ever series in sharjah 2-0 two it is waka 2-0
01:03:55brilliant performance from pakistan they have been so impressive they've been very impressive throughout
01:04:00the series they batted very well they pulled their heart out and the feeling was excellent
01:04:09pakistan outclassed west indies in every department of the game
01:04:16so there it is just the uh shaking of hands between the two teams the series has been played
01:04:24in uh pretty good spirits been nice and aggressive that's a lovely shot isn't it
01:04:28it is at sunset and 189 all out for the west indies so yet again they didn't get past 200
01:04:33when batting in the second innings main contributions from ryan hines who looks a very very good find for
01:04:39the west indies 46 of 55 balls and uh his namesake wavele hines 34 and then you've also got to look to
01:04:46riddy jacobs who finished not out on 35 but again a disappointing test for the west indies overall
01:04:53and i think once that we've got to keep remembering is the fact that karl hooper won the toss and asked
01:04:57pakistan to have a bat we surprised uh everyone in the stadium so disappointing 189 all out for the
01:05:04westernies in their second innings and the balling card wakai yunis picking up four wickets for just 44
01:05:13runs sure was very lethal when he was falling with a new ball picking up an important wicket abdul razak
01:05:21as usual giving pakistanis very important breakthroughs picking up three wickets and
01:05:28saklayan mustak was superb ball with the heart picked up two wickets for just 42 runs shahid afridi
01:05:35giving away 14 runs in two overs and danish kanaria he went for 25. so there's a look back at the mini
01:05:45card of the second test pakistan in the first innings that was a good total 472 with yunis khan
01:05:51playing superbly for 153. cameron coffey picking up four for 82 overall and the second innings uh 225
01:05:59for five declared but the western is of course only made 264 in their first innings with the skipper
01:06:04making 84 not out and chob akhtar getting four for 63 on that occasion and then in the second innings
01:06:10the west innings rolled over for 189 and once again they've done it they've lost five wickets
01:06:16for 28 runs and pakistan won by 244. first i'd like to invite karl hooper the losing captain to please

01:06:35battler karl the batting and bowling well that didn't suffer at the end but it was the feeling 17
01:06:42catches we estimated up there were dropped in this two test series well obviously we uh it was very
01:06:48disappointing for us um i think we've got enough worries with the batting and bowling not to mention
01:06:53the feeling um that's the third headache that we don't need um i don't know you know it's been very
01:06:58very disappointing and we've never got us both sit back and get ourselves together for the one day
01:07:03series and then there's still a lot of free to be played is india coming home to the caribbean and new
01:07:07zealand and then we go to india so um something to look forward to did the background had got
01:07:11anything to do with it well no not really i think the background is perfect is it ever so often um
01:07:18you know we had some slow balls being both one thing in the back of the hand and it would go up in a
01:07:21loop and sometimes you just lose sight of it but i think more or less is sometimes a change of pace
01:07:26that more more or less do it rather than deciding that's right now um how difficult was the pakistani
01:07:31bowlers with the old ball i mean their master with the reverse swing was it difficult really to
01:07:35play that kind of uh bowling well obviously it's difficult um you know like you said they're
01:07:40massive this uh the old ball and know how to reverse swing and so on um i think it was a good experience
01:07:45for us um and hopefully we can take something away from this series and what next up obviously you're
01:07:50involved in a three one-day series looking forward to that oh yes i've always enjoyed playing one day
01:07:56cricket here in sharjah um we haven't been playing too badly in the one day form hopefully we can turn

01:10:44and having said that you know it wasn't too bad effort um you know talk luck to the captain and
01:10:48the rest of the guys and congrats to the pakistani team and the catches were missed that uh must have
01:10:53been very difficult for you to motivate yourself all the time yeah i mean you've been taught from a
01:10:58early age that you know catches win matches and we didn't catch too well so it showed in the results
01:11:03and how difficult was it bowling on a pitch like this in charger um it's not too different from the
01:11:10pitches around the world today they all seem to be quite flat um you just have to get used to it um
01:11:15you know we tried our best and you know we just have to come and try again next time well we'll
