00:00This is a story about the turtle and the rabbit.
00:03Timmy the turtle was very slow.
00:05Really, really slow.
00:08His friends always said,
00:09Timmy, you're the slowest turtle ever.
00:12But Timmy didn't mind.
00:14He took his time to enjoy life.
00:16One day, the forest animals were having a picnic.
00:19Let's have a race, said Ricky Rabbit.
00:21Let's see who's the fastest.
00:23Ricky Rabbit was known for his super speedy hops.
00:26I bet I can hop to the big oak tree before any of you even move an inch, he said, and wiggled his whiskers.
00:33Bella Bluebird was sitting on a low-hanging branch.
00:36That sounds like fun, she said.
00:38I bet I can fly to the top of that tree before any of you get there.
00:42She spread her wings.
00:43Sally Squirrel was busy burying an acorch, but she quickly dug it up.
00:47Let's make it to the talking rock before the sun goes down, she said.
00:51That should be plenty of time for a little race.
00:53The animals all agreed, and Timmy the turtle wanted to join in, too.
00:59You, a race?
01:00Ricky Rabbit couldn't stop laughing.
01:02Ha, you can start while we're eating lunch.
01:04I may be slow, said Timmy, but I never give up.
01:08Ricky Rabbit just shook his head and said,
01:10Suit yourself.
01:11And with that, the race began.
01:14Ricky Rabbit zoomed off like a rocket.
01:17Bella Bluebird flew high so she could see everything from above.
01:21Sally Squirrel darted through the trees.
01:26And Timmy the turtle, well, he just started walking, slow and steady.
01:34Ricky Rabbit was so far ahead of everyone else, he could already see the finish line.
01:39I won, he shouted, and slowed down to a walk.
01:43I can't wait to tell everyone I won the race, he said with a big smile.
01:47But then he stopped.
01:49Wait a second, he said.
01:51What's that smell?
01:53Mmm, carrot cake, he said.
01:55And before he knew it, he had stopped to eat the whole thing.
02:01Meanwhile, Bella Bluebird was having some problems of her own.
02:05She had flown too close to a big spider web, and now she was stuck.
02:11Help, I'm stuck, she called.
02:13Don't worry, Bella, said a kind spider.
02:17I'll help you out.
02:18And with that, the spider gently pulled apart the web, and Bella Bluebird was free.
02:25Thanks, she said.
02:27Now I better get going.
02:29And she flew to the finish line just as Sally Squirrel was crossing it.
02:34Sally had stopped to juggle some acorns.
02:36But she accidentally dropped one, and it landed on her head.
02:41Owie, she said, and slowly made her way to the finish line.
02:46And what about Timmy?
02:48He had been walking the whole time, slow and steady, and he wasn't giving up.
02:54Finally, he made it to the finish line.
02:57All the animals cheered.
02:59Wow, Timmy, you did it, they shouted.
03:02Timmy smiled and said, slow and steady wins the race.
03:07Just then, a skateboard zoomed past him.
03:11It was Ricky Rabbit.
03:12I knew I would win, he said, and winked at Timmy.
03:16How did you get here so fast?
03:18Asked Timmy.
03:19I brought these wheels, said Ricky Rabbit.
03:22So next time, the race will be even faster.
03:26Oh, I don't know, said Timmy.
03:29I think I'd rather walk.
03:31And with that, the friends started their long walk back home.
03:36They talked about all the things they had seen on their way to the finish line.
03:40And they all agreed it had been a fun day.
03:43This way.
03:43This way.
03:43This way.
03:44This way.
03:45This, this camels fell down.
03:45Come on.
03:46But thanks.
03:47This way.
