00:00While surveying the site of some ancient ruins, two young archaeologists, Derek and Margo,
00:19and their nomad friend, Moki, find themselves trapped and sinking in a whirling pool of sand.
00:30And when the dust settles, they stare up in awe at a vast chamber filled with giant relics
00:42and artifacts from another civilization.
00:45And there, at the far end of the cavern, a door with a strange inscription.
00:51All who enter these portals pass through time.

01:28In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
01:55And the earth was formless and empty, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
02:06And God said, Let there be light.
02:13And there was light.
02:17And God separated the light from the darkness and called the light day and the darkness he called night.
02:25There was evening and there was morning, the first day.
02:32On the second day, God said, Let the waters separate and form a space, a sky above and oceans below.
02:44And let that space be called heaven.
02:59On the third day, God said, Let the waters be gathered into one place and let dry land appear.
03:29God called the dry land earth, and the gathered waters he called seas.
03:49And he saw that it was good.
03:52Then God said, Let the earth bring forth grass and seed-bearing plants.
03:58And it was so.
04:03The earth brought forth vegetation.
04:05And God saw that it was good.
04:20And God saw that it was good.
04:27There was evening and there was morning, the third day.
04:36And on the fourth day, God made the stars.
04:43And he made the sun and the moon to divide day from night and to mark the seasons and the years.
04:53And God saw that it was good.
05:06And God saw that it was good.
05:07So on the fifth day, God said, Let the waters bring forth living creatures.
05:14And there were great sea creatures and sea animals of all forms and shapes.
05:41To fly in the skies above, God created every kind of bird.
05:46God saw that it was good.
05:56And on the sixth day, God made every kind of animal.
06:02The beasts of the field.
06:09And everything that creeps upon the earth.
06:15And everything that creeps upon the earth.
06:18So hey, God.
06:20The force of the wings.
06:38And God was pleased and said,
06:53Let us make man in our own image, in our own likeness.
06:59And so, from the dust of the ground, God formed man
07:04and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.
07:09Man became a living soul.
07:20And God made him master of all life upon the earth.
07:34And on the seventh day, God rested,
07:37and he blessed that day and made it holy.
07:41God planted a garden eastward, in Eden.
07:51And there he put the man whom he had formed, the man called Adam.
07:56And God told Adam to tend and care for the garden of Eden
08:01and to eat freely of the fruit of its trees.
08:04All but one tree.
08:07This one.
08:08The tree of knowledge of good and evil.
08:11God warned Adam that eating the fruit of this tree
08:14would make him know right and wrong, good and evil.
08:17And he would be doomed to die.
08:20And I would love to come to see him.
08:23And I would love to see him in the garden of Eden.
08:25I hope he made it.
08:26The tree of knowledge of a mother
08:29And he would love to come to him in the garden of Eden.
08:29He would like to have seen him in the garden of Eden.
08:31He would like to see him in the garden of Eden.
08:32I've grown these apples myself. Nothing but the best in my orchard.
08:38But maybe they're sour.
08:40Sour? My apples?
08:43Are they the sweetest apples in Nod?
08:45Who says?
08:47Here, try one.
08:54Well, am I not right?
09:00Sour.
09:01Sour?
09:03Impossible.
09:07Let's settle this, Margot and Derek.
09:10Are these apples sour or not?
09:21Delicious.
09:23The best apple I ever ate.
09:26You see? What did I tell you?
09:29Well, I've got to admit.
09:31I was wrong, and you were right.
09:36I guess I showed him.
09:38Hey, hey, come back here, you old tricksters.
09:51Come back here.
09:53Come back here.
09:53We really shouldn't have done that.
10:10I know.
10:12But we were so hungry.
10:13Where do you think we are?
10:16Where? We don't even know when we are.
10:18You are never lost if you have friends.
10:21Shall we be their friends and let them join us?
10:24Sure.
10:26Why not?
10:28Only if they sit quiet, and you get right back to the story.
10:32Well, I was telling you about the creation.
10:34We are in a land the Bible calls Nod, just east of Eden.
10:39Eden?
10:42You mean like in the Garden of Eden?
10:44Exactly so.
10:46Look at the four rivers.
10:51The Bishon.
10:52The Gihon.
10:53The Tigris.
10:54And the Euphrates.
10:55So, what does that mean?
10:58According to the Bible, that one large river watered the Garden of Eden.
11:03The real Garden of Eden?
11:05The place where...
11:06The place of creation.
11:08But I thought that was just a story.
11:12No, he was telling us the real story.
11:15Stop talking and listen.
11:17Oh, I'm sorry.
11:18Please, go on.
11:20You were just at the part where God had finished his work on the sixth day?
11:24And now he's taking the day off, because he worked so hard creating men.
11:29And what about woman?
11:30Yes, what about us?
11:33I was just coming to that.
11:35God not only asked Adam to tend the Garden of Eden, but to give names to all the birds and animals there.
11:47Whatever Adam called them, that's what their names became.
11:51You're so beautiful and graceful.
11:53You're...
11:54You're a swan.
12:01You.
12:02You are a deer.
12:05And you're a horse.
12:08You.
12:09What can I call you?
12:11Uh...
12:11Uh...
12:13Ostrich.
12:15That's you, all right.
12:19This isn't easy.
12:21Come on.
12:25Large-mouthed bass, a small-mouthed bass, and a rainbow trout.
12:44And you're a rabbit.
12:47And you're a fox.
12:49No, the other way around would be better.
12:57You're the fox, and you're the rabbit.
13:00You're a...
13:02Cat.
13:07And your singing friend there is a...
13:09Canary.
13:10No, no, no.
13:12Hold it.
13:13No cats are no friends with no canaries.
13:16That's for sure.
13:17Back then they were, young man.
13:19How things changed is the story you're going to hear.
13:23All the creatures in the Garden of Eden were at peace.
13:27With themselves, and with animals.
13:30Except one.
13:31And this one was the craftiest and most hate-filled of all God's creatures.
13:40The serpent.
13:48No, please, no.
13:49No, don't tell me anything about snakes or serpents.
13:53They scare me.
13:55Oh, I hate them more than anything.
13:58Many people feel the same way, Moki.
14:01Listen, and you'll find out why.
14:05While the serpent secretly observed Adam in the garden,
14:09God was watching him too.
14:11You all have someone to be with.
14:18One of your own kind.
14:21Adam had named all the animals and all the birds.
14:25But he had no companion.
14:28No one to help him.
14:30So God caused him to go into a deep sleep.
14:34But while Adam slept, God took one of his ribs,
14:53leaving no mark behind.
14:56And from the rib which God had taken from man,
15:00he made a woman.
15:04I am here to be with you.
15:16Now, at last, from my bones and my flesh,
15:21she shall be called woman,
15:23for she was taken out of man.
15:26And so it is that a man will leave his own father and mother
15:30and be united to his wife.
15:34Like the animals, they were both naked,
15:43the man and his wife,
15:45and were not ashamed.
15:46All was innocent and their garden of Eden was paradise.
16:01Look at all that beautiful fruit.
16:04I think I'll try some.
16:06No, Eve, no!
16:07What's the matter?
16:09God forgive me.
16:11What is it, Adam?
16:12What have you done?
16:13It's not what I've done.
16:14It's what I haven't done.
16:16I haven't told you about this tree and its fruit.
16:20God made only one rule for us in this garden.
16:23We are never to eat any fruit from this tree.
16:26This is the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
16:29And if we disobey God and eat from it, we will die.
16:36Die?
16:37What does that mean?
16:39What does it mean to die?
16:41It means an end.
16:43An end to all we have here.
16:45Everything.
16:46An end to this perfection.
16:49That is the tree of life.
16:51Its fruit gives us eternal life.
16:53We may eat from it and live forever.
16:56But we may not eat from this tree over here.
17:00If that is God's rule, we must accept it.
17:03Yes.
17:04It's too bad, though.
17:09The fruit really does look delicious.
17:12Yes, it does.
17:14I know it does.
17:16Yes.
17:17Yes.
17:19The fruit of this tree is delicious.
17:25No.
17:26Please.
17:27No more about creepy, crawly, slimy snakes.
17:30But this one can talk.
17:32Oh, that's the worst kind.
17:35Oh, it looks like rain.
17:37Yes.
17:38Let's move on to the awning.
17:40At my father's place.
17:45Father, have you seen Kalief?
17:48Seth, I told you.
17:49Kalief is your snake.
17:50He's your responsibility, not mine.
17:52Kalief, where are you?
17:55Oh, I hope he hasn't run off.
17:57Kalief!
17:58If you see him, I'll be with the storyteller.
18:01Here.
18:02For the storyteller and your friends.
18:04Oh, thank you, father.
18:07Oh, I hate snakes.
18:09So, what else would my son have for a pet?
18:12Thank your father for us all, Seth.
18:18He is a generous man.
18:20And his apples are the best ever.
18:24Well, I'm glad you're happy, Mokey.
18:26Because now I'm afraid we have to return to the crafty serpent.
18:30Oh, no, you know I don't like snakes.
18:35Yes, Mokey.
18:37Adam and Eve and the most famous or infamous serpent in history.
18:41Oh, I'm sorry if I startle you.
18:50Um, where's Adam?
18:53He's, uh, tending to the olive trees.
18:56Oh, but all your pretty fruit is bruised now.
19:02Come.
19:04I'll show you the sweetest delight in the garden.
19:08As a surprise for Adam.
19:12Really?
19:13Come.
19:15All right.
19:17Here.
19:18But this is the one tree in the garden we cannot touch.
19:23This is the forbidden fruit.
19:26Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?
19:33Surely not.
19:35We may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden,
19:38except for the tree in the middle of the garden.
19:41God has forbidden us to either touch or eat the fruit of that tree.
19:46For if we do, we shall die.
19:51You believe that nonsense?
19:55Of course you will not die.
20:00God knows that as soon as you eat it,
20:03your eyes will be opened
20:05and you and Adam will be like gods yourselves.
20:10You will know good and evil.
20:14Oh, the fruit here is truly beautiful.
20:19Oh, yes.
20:23It is.
20:35Hello, little friend.
20:38Come.
20:38Let's go find Eve.
20:40Go ahead.
20:42Taste it.
20:43Find out for yourself.
20:46But Adam...
20:47Will be pleased.
20:50You will make him wise.
20:52A god.
20:54And you will become his goddess.
21:00See?
21:01You touched it
21:02and nothing happened.
21:05Now,
21:07taste it.
21:08Something's wrong.
21:18Something's wrong.
21:22Oh,
21:23it is extraordinary.
21:25Adam will be so pleased.
21:27I will.
21:29About what?
21:30About this.
21:32Take a bite.
21:33You'll love it.
21:34Well,
21:37it looks good.
21:40Yes.
21:47Now,
21:48for the first time,
21:50all was not perfect in paradise.
21:52Something's happened.
21:59Something's not right.
22:01I feel...
22:02I feel...
22:03Yes.
22:04I feel...
22:06strange.
22:08Naked.
22:09Yes.
22:10So do I.
22:12The fruit.
22:14We ate the forbidden fruit.
22:17Quick.
22:17We must hide ourselves.
22:20But as the day grew toward evening,
22:22they heard the sound of God
22:24moving through the garden.
22:27Adam and Eve hid,
22:28afraid for what they had done.
22:31And from that moment forward,
22:34man has known good and evil.
22:37Adam and Eve made simple clothes
22:39for themselves
22:40from the fig leaves in the garden.
22:43So?
22:44What happens next?
22:45Go on.
22:45Oh, I can hardly wait.
22:51Kalief!
22:52You found my pet snake, Moki.
22:56Thanks.
22:57Thanks a lot.
22:58Oh, you're welcome.
23:02As I was saying,
23:04God called to Adam and Eve.
23:08Adam?
23:10Adam?
23:12Where are you?
23:13I heard your voice
23:15and I was afraid
23:16because I was naked,
23:18so I hid.
23:19Who told you you were naked?
23:22Have you eaten
23:22from the forbidden tree?
23:24The woman you put here with me,
23:26she gave me some fruit
23:28from the tree
23:29and I ate it.
23:30Woman,
23:31what is this you have done?
23:34The serpent.
23:35The serpent tricked me
23:37and I ate it.
23:38And I ate it.
23:42Serpent!
23:47You are cursed above all cattle
23:49and above every beast of the field.
23:52On your belly, you will fall.
23:55And dust shall you eat
23:56all the days of your life.
23:59The woman shall be your enemy
24:00and her children
24:02the enemy of your children.
24:05Go, Adam.
24:07Go, Eve.
24:09Out of the garden of Eden.
24:11Out of this garden forever.
24:13All your lives,
24:15you will work the soil
24:16for your food.
24:17And you shall gain your food
24:19by the sweat of your brow
24:20until you return to the ground.
24:24For dust you are
24:25and to dust
24:27you shall return.
24:30So God drove Adam and Eve
24:33out of the garden.
24:34You know what I think?
24:35What?
24:37God showed us paradise
24:39so we could see what we'd lose
24:41if we disobeyed him.
24:43Then it's because of Adam and Eve
24:45we all know right from wrong.
24:48And we know we'll have to work and sweat
24:50for whatever we get.
24:52Just like me.
24:53I tended the orchards myself
24:55and harvested them too.
24:57Would you like some?
24:59Uh, there wouldn't be a serpent
25:01with you, would there?
25:02Oh, I hate snakes too.
25:05Here, take these for your trip.
25:06My son says you have a long way to go.
25:09Believe me, you have no idea.
25:11Why can't we go back
25:12to the garden again?
25:14Yes, why don't we just go out
25:15and find the garden ourselves?
25:19None of us will ever return
25:21to the Garden of Eden.
25:25God's flaming sword.
25:35It was sent to block the entrance
25:36to the Garden of Eden forever.
25:39And God said,
25:41man has now become like one of us,
25:43knowing good and evil.
25:45Now he will never be able to reach out
25:48and take from the tree of life.
25:50And he will not live forever.
25:53But Genesis,
25:55from which this story has been told,
25:57means the beginning,
25:59not the end.
26:01And for all of mankind,
26:03for all the ages,
26:05this was just the beginning.
26:08is on to bezug statesить.
26:22When youharhogikes,
26:24you carry on embamente.
26:25And while we are going up,
26:25it will never be able to reach out
26:27and leave your community,
26:28you better be able to reach out
26:28and safe stories.
26:29You have to take place.
26:30You have to shipésed out
26:31and buy any objectives of another.
26:31You are looking for from the Cay Tä Tä000
26:33with extensive meals.
