00:00the next question assalamualaikum and namaste dr. Zakir naik i recently watched your lecture
00:11on the similarities of islam and hinduism it was so beautiful and i am so impressed with your
00:18knowledge on both religions and the scriptures i have one question if you could please answer
00:23in the lecture time two hours 32 minutes and nine seconds an individual asked you
00:29that you have said that there are so many similarities between islam and hinduism does
00:37that mean that according to islam a person can be a hindu in response you have said that if you mean
00:46by the term hindu a person who follows the religious scriptures of hinduism then i have got no objection
00:54as long as that hindu strictly follows the established truths of the scriptures of hinduism
01:02established truths means those truths mentioned in the hindu scripture which have been confirmed
01:08by the last and final revelation of god that is the glorious quran and i am referring to vedas and the
01:16quran which are mentioned in my lectures both of them they believe that there is one god they believe
01:23in the messengers they believe the last messenger is prophet muhammad peace be upon him they believe in the
01:31hereafter if they believe in all these established facts i have got no objection mashallah the revert has
01:39repeat my answer in detail mashallah if this is exactly what a hindu believes then what makes them
01:47different from a muslim is the word religion just a term at the point at this point can a muslim and
01:54hindu get married if not then why not i'd really appreciate your answer on this thank you in the
01:59ending the question i suppose that if she follows the truths or if that hindu follows the truth in the
02:08hindu scripture which is established by the quran and the sai hadith meaning you know if you follow
02:17those hindu scriptures which are established by the teachings of quran and sai hadith then what is the
02:24difference correct you're right if the person follows the established teachings in the hindu scripture
02:30which is mentioned the quran and sai hadith then he becomes a muslim he has to become a muslim
02:35he has to believe there is one god he has to believe prophet muhammad the last and final messenger of
02:40god and there's a mission in the hindu scriptures and i've proven in my lecture that even the hindu
02:46believe in one true god who has no image etc and they believe also that in the last and final messenger
02:55prophet muhammad peace be upon and these two are the most important criteria for anyone to accept islam
03:01so my answer was very clear that if they are really a true practicing muslim based on the
03:05teachings of the hindu scriptures which match with the quran then they are muslims what is the difference
03:11the difference is that hindu as i mentioned my talk is a geographical definition those people living in
03:18the land of the indus valley civilization of those people living in india they are called as hindu it's a
03:24geographical definition it is not a religious definition the right word should be vedantist according
03:29to swami swami vikandana a person who follows the vedas should be called a vedantist and not a hindu
03:36a hindu is a misnomer so in that context i am from india i live in india i'm a hindu by geographical
03:45definition but the real muslim is a person who submits the will to allah so if a person who
03:52believes in the hindu scriptures is made the quran and they believe that there is one god and they
03:59believe that prophet muhammad is the messenger of what they are muslims so they become muslims the right
04:04word is muslim so inshallah we pray to allah subhanahu ta'ala that may your father and your mother and
04:12brothers and sisters inshallah they become muslims they they follow allah and his assul they worship
04:19only one god and though there are many facility that is there but if you believe in one god and
04:27believe in the last and final revelation of allah subhanahu ta'ala then you are a muslim you enter the
04:32fold of islam and according to me you should not delay because you don't know how long a person will live
04:37whether you want to see tomorrow or not we don't know so my request to you would be do it and see to it
04:42that you follow the quran and the sayadee hope that's the question
