U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 (MWSS-172), Marine Aircraft Group 36 (MAG), 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) support Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 (HLMA-169), MAG-36, 1st MAW with a forward arming and refueling point (FARP) at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, August 4, 2025. MWSS-172 Marines refueled AH-1Z Vipers and CH-53 Super Stallions, while ensuring the FARP site remained fully operational and functional to provide continuous fuel support in a forward-deployed environment.
