Hyderabad Street Dogs :హైదరాబాద్ వంటి మహానగరంలో వీధి కుక్కల బెడద ఎక్కువైంది. వాహనదారులను భయాందోళనకు గురి చేయడం, కరవడం లాంటివి చేస్తున్నాయి. వీధి కుక్కల విషయంలో సుప్రీంకోర్టు కీలక ఆదేశాలిచ్చింది. వీధి కుక్కలకు కూడా షెల్టర్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసి వాటిలో ఉంచాలని పేర్కొంది. దీనిపై సోషల్ మీడియాలో చర్చ జరిగింది. దీంతో కొన్ని ఎన్జీఓల సాయంతో తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం కొత్త నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. అదే ‘కుక్కల దత్తత స్వీకారం.’ గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్ ఆగస్ట్ 17ను కుక్కల దత్తత దినంగా ప్రకటించింది. ఈ రోజు జాతి కుక్కలను దత్తత ఇస్తారు. దీని కోసం బంజారాహిల్స్ రోడ్డు నెం. 1లో జలగం వెంగళరావు పార్కులో ఉదయం 6 గంటల నుంచి 10 గంటల వరకు దత్తత స్వీకారం నిర్వహిస్తారు. దత్తత కోసం అందుబాటులో వీధి కుక్కలను ఉంచుతున్నారు. వీటిని దత్తతకు రెడీ చేశారు. అంటే.. టీకాలు వేసి ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉన్న వాటినే ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఉంచుతున్నారు.



The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, GHMC has announced a special street dog adoption drive to be held on August 17, marking it as a unique “Street Dog Adoption Day” for the city.

📍 Venue: Jalagam Vengal Rao Park, Banjara Hills
🕕 Time: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

What’s Happening:

Healthy, vaccinated, and dewormed indie (street) puppies will be available for adoption

Awareness campaign promoting “Be a Hero – Adopt, Don’t Shop”

A walk-in, interactive event for the public to connect with the animals and learn more about responsible pet ownership

This initiative is aimed at giving loving homes to stray dogs and reducing the stray population humanely.
