01:49000 430 000 white residents per congressional seat for a latino to have representation in texas that
01:57means it would take 1.2 million latino voters for a black seat or excuse me for black voters to
02:03represent a representative of their choice excuse me to elect a representative of their choice it would
02:09take about 2 million black voters so the value of a latino resident in texas is about one third
02:14for the for their vote for black folks it's about one fourth so instead of being like considered three
02:21fifths we've been reduced down to one fifth so they're we're continuing to listen in to some of the
02:28comments made just yesterday by democratic lawmakers from texas talking about that redistricting fight

06:07As I bring you this live image of the White House over in Washington, D.C.
06:11We're following very closely the fact that President Trump is meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
06:17That's happening on Friday in just a couple of days, that summit to be held in Alaska.
06:22We do have a new statement from President Trump via Truth Social.
06:26I'm going to pop it up here on your screen.

07:15Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, he actually arrived in Germany.
07:19And before I get to some of that video that we just got into our newsroom, here is a post on X from the White House quoting another Truth Social post from President Trump saying,

07:36That is what Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is doing at this moment.
07:40Take a look at this.
07:41It's some video from earlier today as Zelensky arrived there in Germany to meet with the Chancellor.
07:50And also there's going to be some virtual meetings with other European and U.S. leaders ahead of that planned summit between President Trump and President Putin.
07:59German Chancellor Merz has convened a series of virtual meetings for today in an attempt to have the voice of European and Ukraine's leaders heard ahead of that summit in Alaska.
08:09Zelensky and Europeans have sidelined from the summit.
08:14Now, the German government spokesperson said the intention of today's meetings was to, quote, make clear the position for Europeans.
08:22President Zelensky is due to meet with European leaders first in preparation for a virtual call with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance about an hour later.
08:31Now, a call between leaders of countries involved in the coalition of the willing, those who are prepared to help police any future peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv will take place last.
08:42So we are monitoring that coming up at around 10 a.m. Eastern time.
08:47We're expecting a joint statement from President Zelensky and the German Chancellor.
08:52If we get any of those comments in English, we'll bring them to you live.
08:56They may talk in English, also in German and Ukrainian.
09:00So we'll be filtering through some of that just to keep you up to date with all of these headlines.
