Tynemouth Castle

Tynemouth Castle, a formidable fortress overlooking the North Sea, has stood as a symbol of power and protection for over a thousand years. Perched on a rocky headland in Northumberland, England, the site has been occupied since the early medieval period and later developed into a grand castle and priory.
Originally established as an Anglo-Saxon monastery, Tynemouth evolved into a heavily fortified stronghold during the Norman era.
