00:00Earlier tonight the SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley was able to defend her
00:15championship against Asuka now because of the beat the clock challenge victory.
00:20This past Friday night on SmackDown, Sasha Banks has the opportunity to defend
00:25her Raw Women's Championship second against the Empress.
00:29And we're gonna find out that Golden Roll Models can make it a clean sweep here tonight against Asuka.
00:36Sasha Banks now in her fifth individual Women's Tag Women's Championship reign and
00:43one knock on Sasha Banks is that she's never had a successful defense of a single championship
00:49between Raw and SmackDown but considering what happened earlier on tonight in the SmackDown Women's
00:54title match and obviously with Bayley at ringside this could certainly help Sasha Banks turn that trend around.
01:02It's a huge advantage for Sasha Banks and Asuka knows that better than anybody when you take on Sasha Banks you have to worry about Bayley and vice-versa.
01:08Well in regards to what happened earlier on tonight I want to take you back to the SmackDown Women's
01:14Championship match between Bayley and Asuka that began our night here at SummerSlam.
01:20Now as Bayley is ringside for Sasha the same was true earlier on tonight.
01:24Banks in the corner of Bayley this down the stretch here in this matchup Sasha Banks was yelling at Asuka who was trying to get a submission.
01:32Asuka had had enough and finally kicked Sasha.
01:34And I don't want to deal with the verbal attacks but the attempts to physically get involved by Sasha Banks.
01:39Yeah Bayley nearly capitalized on that involvement from Banks but this was the critical moment.
01:43Watch this Sasha Banks absorbed the attack from Asuka on behalf of Bayley and held the SmackDown Women's Champion retainer title against Asuka.
01:53Then it was after the match Sasha Banks immediately jumped Asuka.
01:57Sasha Banks knew she was going to do whatever she had to do to soften up Asuka just a little bit more before her championship defense.
02:03And so it is because of that now we have Asuka coming into this match as we saw a potential left knee injury in the match against Bayley earlier on.
02:10No way Asuka is even remotely close to 100%.
02:13Asuka approached this match in the worst possible form that she could be in and it doesn't bode well for her chances tonight.
02:19My question is is Bayley going to be able to have the back of Sasha Banks like Sasha did for Bayley earlier on tonight?
02:33So Asuka making her way into the ring for her second championship match tonight.
02:50So if you were Asuka, how would you approach this situation?
02:53Well, first off, I can appreciate the bravado of Asuka coming back out here and putting on her best face.
02:58But let's face it, she's war wearing, she's beaten up.
03:00And tonight she needs to conserve her energy, find her opportunities and capitalize on them and waste none.
03:06That leads to victory for Asuka tonight.
03:08Yeah, Asuka's only had a little over an hour to recover from her last match.
03:11But I'll tell you what, she can use what happened in that last match as motivation to challenge Sasha Banks for the Raw Women's Championship.
03:18And has had a little over an hour now to recuperate in the backseat area.
03:27Even as Asuka was making her way to the ring, obviously, so to your point, trying not to show the pain, but Sasha Banks is mocking Asuka as she walked in just hopping on her one leg.
03:36Sasha Banks clearly is gonna have a target in this match.
03:39Oh, absolutely, and Sasha Banks will take complete advantage of it.
03:42The following contest scheduled for one fall is for the Raw Women's Championship.
